  1. According to Wikipedia, that only started being prescribed to the logo in 2004. Before that, notable definitions included - "S" for "Superman" (origin) - an El family crest/coat of arms (from Superman: The Movie) - a design by Pa Kent based off Native American iconography, depicting a snake to symbolize healing (The Man of Steel, 80s) This desire for it to mean something super deep, and "hope" of all things, I find to be really weird and unnecessary. But that's coming from me as a casual Superman audience. Anyway, I think it's about as good and bad as any of the other James Gunn superhero movies. Choosing Israel-Palestine as a backdrop wasn't a great decision. The use of Krypto and an associated spoiler was a good one. The movie was at its best when it didn't take itself super seriously. I think it could have handled the "serious" subject matter more adeptly by leaning even more heavily into its super simplistic, cartoony storytelling. As is, its attempts feel half-assed. Altogether, it holds together better than the Snyderverse movies, but otherwise is surpassed by other superhero movies before it. It's a cut above/below Superman Returns, but generally in that same ballpark.
  2. They're officially non-scale, but are roughly slightly larger than 1/144 scale, same as the regular Robot Spirits line. IIRC they target an absolute size of around 5-6" or 12-15cm and scale loosely amongst themselves. (Smaller MSes like Wing are smaller than usual, bigger ones like Nu are bigger than usual, etc.) Metal Build and Chogokin are indeed bigger and tend to map more directly to 1/100 scale, though IIRC they too target an absolute size of 7-8" rather than a strict 1/100 scale. Currently, no. I don't remember if the Granddaddy has even been made in MB/Choogkin/etc. The Robot Spirits Ver ANIME figure might work for you, but like the Metal RS you linked, it also is in the smaller scale. Bandai did release a version of the MG Perfect Gundam without its "Perfect"/"Full Armor" parts, which might work for you: https://p-bandai.com/us/item/N2559803001006
  3. That's my best guess, too. 🤷‍♂️ Oh well. Since it's been posted, I'll delete this thread. Thanks for the head's-up. EDIT: ...or not. I could swear there used to be a Delete option somewhere...
  4. No, I mean what does "SCOOPUDA" stand for?
  5. Ah, I see. I don't check that thread (obviously), what even is it? "SCOOPUDA" = ???
  6. Just posting an FYI since I didn't see anyone had posted it yet. First episodes of 7, Frontier, and Delta are up. https://www.youtube.com/@macrossch2259
  7. I don't know if my expectations have just dropped that much or the movie was legitimately that good, but I had a really good time with this movie. Gareth Edwards does a great job establishing scale, and there are tons of shots (maybe too many) that do a phenomenal job showing off just how big the big dinos really are. The story is meh, definitely doesn't reach the same level of smart and thought-provoking as JP1 but then again what has done, but it's serviceable enough and is told competently. As I suspected, the "fake" dinos are nowhere as interesting as the "real" dinos; the latter could still easily carry an entire film on their own, despite the insistence of the World movies. A future movie, I would love if they doubled down on their efforts here to be as "natural" with the dinos as possible. Even better if they make a dino the actual star of the movie and make smart decisions in order to tell a story from its perspective.

I don't remember seeing this in the anime/movie/OVAs. Can someone refresh my memory? I can only guess it was Basara's ride in Dynamite 7 and I simply forgot.
  9. I'm just glad to finally see some news on these again after all these years. I was nearly about to renew a Hulu subscription again. Then again, that new Predator series did just come out...
  10. I'm an idiot, ignore me. Got my wires crossed and thought we were talking about the Plamax and/or VFG kits.
  11. Nice, thanks. I was just looking at stores last night since the first pre-order caught me by surprise. EDIT: Well dang, looks like it's back to discontinued already. Must be popular... or really limited...?
  12. Since it's not a Bandai kit, I didn't think there'll be any stock issues. I've gotten all my Hasegawas, Plamaxes, Kotobukiyas, etc. from them right on schedule. Still, fingers crossed. On the subject on Bandai and HLJ, I got orders fulfilled of some random repros in the last few months. Nice surprise, that. IIRC a Mega Size Zaku and a HG O Gundam. So it's still a decent way to get their back catalog at a good price. Just add them to the PW pile you're already building up.

  14. They're wearing Captain Commando uniforms.
