The articulation in the legs is like that so that the figures can sit in the Batmobile.  If McFarlane gets to releasing a 1/12 scale 1989 Batman later then maybe there’s a chance that there will be a 1/12 scale Batmobile release as well.  I’d buy one for sure.

That seems to be the general consensus on the Toyark forums... like, "maybe this will lead to decent toys from the Burton/Schumacher films, 'cause Mattel already did Batman '66 to death!"

I have most of the figures and 1966 Batmobile from Mattel.  I don’t have a 1966 Batcave so I’ll get that.  I’ll probably get McFarlane’s 1966 Batmobile too.

I can't wait to see the 1989 Batmobile.  If it's good then I'll add it to my Batman collection.

The Mattel release is more in scale with 6" figures.  I'm glad I skipped the small McFarlane version.

Worst packaging yet.  Not only is McFarlane too cheap to make individual cardbacks for the figures, they're not even putting labels on the blisters? 🤨

Is that supposed to be Jim Gordon?  Alfred Pennyworth?  Somebody else?

It's a rare sight indeed to see action figure packaging with absolutely nothing to indicate who the character is supposed to be....!

These are from the 1979 Filmation cartoon. Although labels would be nice.

Definitely Gordon. Alfred usually gets a butler black fancy look with a bit of a snobbish face. Gordon usually gets an average Joe suit, glasses and mustache.

Was it filmation? For some reason I thought it was Hanna Barbera. It’s been a long time since I’ve seen it

Yeah, I guess it was super friends and the scooby episodes that were Hanna Barbera. It’s been many years since I’ve seen The New Adventures of Batman maybe even decades. I know a lot of Superfriends related stuff was on boomerang , but I don’t remember them having the filmation show although I remember it was in syndication off and on when I was little
