Hi!!

Long time since my last post. I want to share my VE-1 Elintseeker, it´s been like 2 years since I finished it, it was in my shelf an eternit - like 10 years or so- waiting to be built), It has some scratch build here and there, specially in the cockpit.

Let me know what you think guys.

Outrageously good! Love your work!

Would love to know how you achieved the shading on the intake covers, especially. That's just beautiful and knowing how small those parts are, it's very impressively done.

Thank you very much mickyg. Yes they are small, and for those parts I paint them with dark sea grey, then I mask the plates division (one at a time) and airbrush a lighter color of the base, just one pass or two to get a smooth color transition, and then remove the masking, and go for the next plate.

Masking and painting plate by plate? Boy, I bet that took a lot of time.

Beautiful job. I'm digging the cockpit details. Not sure if all those controls were scratch or not (I'm guessing they were), but good stuff either way. And it really, REALLY makes me want to get one of those VF stands, too. Maybe I'll throw it in with my next batch purchase...

Yes, plate by plate, it´s not that difficult, but those little details are the ones that make a model stand out. All those buttons and controls in the cockpit are 100% scratch, all made with styrene and I even used the sprues to make the smaller buttons. I don´t really like the hasegawa photo etch details, they are expensive and I think it looks better with my own controls, and so much fun to do, I hope to improve it with my next VF-1 kit.

Super impressive Cesar!!! The detail, painting and weathering are so good. I have one that is on the list to build. Rest assured I'll be visiting your pics as a reference. Thanks for sharing!!!
