Papa Rat Posted yesterday at 06:14 AM Posted yesterday at 06:14 AM (edited) Test fitting the IMAI Gerwalk while finishing up the M.Lover Lieea. I don’t know why but I love these old kits soooo much. The detailing and fit is interesting I suppose, but they are so endearing. The price is right and it’s fun putting lipstick on a pig. Not sure if that’s the right expression? Not sure if that’s the right expression? Will this be a straight build and paint plan? Or will you be adding a few touches? Very cool. Quote

Papa Rat Posted yesterday at 02:31 PM Posted yesterday at 02:31 PM (edited) @nightmareB4macross I need to hunt down some official art and see what’s missing and if I want to add anything. There isn’t a blaster so maybe I take that on somehow. @Big s They have some wonky parts which is totally manageable, but I agree they were ahead of their time for sure. I really like the scale and proportions of this Gerwalk. Going to be lots of masking/painting fun. Edited yesterday at 02:31 PM by Papa Rat Quote

Papa Rat Posted 15 hours ago Posted 15 hours ago (edited) Well I think it’s done but I want to go back in for some weathering and a matte topcoat. Had a lot of fun with this one. Paint was sloppy in spots, but I just pushed on. Some Orguss M.Lover, ♥️♥️♥️ Edited 15 hours ago by Papa Rat Quote

Nevermind - I just looked at the set up behind your Orguss GERWALK. Edited 12 hours ago by nightmareB4macross Quote

Nevermind - I just looked at the set up behind your Orguss GERWALK. Hey thanks. I’m trying to do some fun airbrush highlights with the last couple builds I have completed. I have a lot to learn. I was fortunate and inherited an iwata from my work since they no longer used it. I did prime the kit with a cheap can of rusto and it had a bad reaction to a few colors and had to strip and repaint. I think I will stick with Mr surfacer moving forward. I do however like how easy and fast a rattle can is. Here’s a pic of the kit after I hit it with a rattle can topcoat Mr Super Clear UV Matt. I think the finish really brings it all together in a nice way and hides some of my sloppiness. Edited 12 hours ago by Papa Rat Quote
