Hikuro Posted June 14 Posted June 14 Bit bummed. My Xbox360 finally crapped out. It'd been having issues witht he disc drive not reading as of late so I took the initiative to get it replaced. Followed all the necessary steps I could, knowing that there's a serial key on there so I wasn't gonna do a flash on the disc drive so I did a board swap instead. But man one thing after another, console shell was super brittle and kept breaking when I took it apart even with the proper tools, and after doing the board swap and putting it all back together I kept getting a close tray on it. Messed around with it a few times more but the shell just got worse and worse and even the tray ejection button snapped off randomly. Guess it's time to buy a new unit! Really bummed cause I just acquired a ton of good 360 games last weekend for cheap cheap at a garage sale. Quote

But not clear if it's 4:3 ration with some side bar effects. I'd be okay with a 4:3 presentation. My concern is actually that it might not be. Scrolling shooters adapt uniquely poorly to changes in aspect ratio, in my opinion, and I'd rather it be framed than cropped or stretched. Quote
Test_Pilot_2 Posted 14 hours ago Posted 14 hours ago Picked up an immaculate black label Xenogears yesterday at a shockingly low price considering it looks barely used/played. Hardly a scuff or scratch on the outer shell. There are signs of use, but barely. Have a second, bigger find coming in, but need to verify its authenticity once it gets here - 20 to 25 years in the making, lol. Quote
F-ZeroOne Posted 13 hours ago Posted 13 hours ago Wow, thats a lucky find! I had a copy myself once, if I only knew... despite its flaws, one of those titles that long sticks in the memory. Quote

Test_Pilot_2 Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago I won't/can't post everything, but this just got delivered. I was waiting anxiously for it as I paid a bit for just a box, but it's a win. Card stock, plastic, and printing (both good and bad) clearly ensure authenticity. I bought an immaculate copy of MUSHA over 20 years ago for 10 bucks after a local video rental closed. It was an aberration considering how clean the cart is... I've scoured all the back-end channels for an authentic case this whole time and found one finally. It's not perfect - has some pretty severe sun damage, but it's what I've got and I'm happy. It's all legit. Maybe it'll be another 20 years before I find an authentic manual and whatnot. Don't beat me up about my Nomad - it deployed with me in the mid-90s and got a little beat up. Very happy collector today. Quote

I put in an off-the-shelf drive and got it working, but for some reason it only saw like 8GB of the drive, so it might need replaced with an actual 360-formatted one. Shoot me a PM if you're still looking. Quote

Mine is the original version, I've been looking at slims though, really wanna get my hands on the Halo Reach edition, I love how that sucker looks but most want 100+ with no drive. I've got a lot of medical issues going on lately, spent close to a grand with no answers what's wrong with me, so 360 is way on the back burner. Plus I gotta get repairs on the famicom and super famicom. Famicon doesn't have a good Player 1 controller, and Super Famicom has an audio issue where I found bad traces around the C61 capacitor leading to the chip dealing with Audio. : / just not my month. Yeah, the slim's what I got. Not the original white one (my launch day one RROD'd, but actually lasted until it was out of warranty and the S was out). Not the E that looked sort of like a mini Xbox One. I should have a Kinect for it, too. I don't need $100 for it, it's just been sitting in my closet. Hit me up when things are going better for you.
