Amazing movie magic! My 8 year old daughter can't wait till see the sequel on Disney+. I'd love to take her to see it in 3D but don't know if she is ready for a 3+ hour long film yet, lol.

If she digs sci-fi, she might be ok. When my daughter was a bit younger than that, she would take the vhs of Galaxy quest and put it in and I’d fall asleep about halfway through and since I worked nights, I’d wake up a few hours later and the movie would be on a third watch after an automatic rewind. Some kids sit really well for a good movie.

I have a 10 year old and a 7 year old and they asked to see it so we all went. I was honestly, very impressed my 7 year old daughter hung through the whole thing. It's so visually interesting, that helps a lot. That said, it does end with like 45 minutes of pure violence and I was questioning my parenting afterward... though she said she liked it so that's cool. Next family movie will be Mario or something to reset :)
