deri Posted December 13, 2009 Posted December 13, 2009 Hi, This is my first post with my last custom, an Hasegawa 1/72 VF-0S Reactive Armored :
mickyg Posted December 13, 2009 Posted December 13, 2009 Wow! That is incredible! Would love to know what techniques you used to weather it so convincingly. I see a fair bit of what looks like drybrushing. Very, very nicely done!

Thanks, I used spray paint for the base color(mat black) the yellow and white, then I used drybrushing with lot of differents "games workshop" colors
gwfalcon Posted December 13, 2009 Posted December 13, 2009 Awesome job, man!!! Awesome!!! Your drybrushing skill is making the 0S so vivid!!! Will be glad to see more of your customs and detailed descriptions. Lastly, welcome to join here.

valhary Posted December 14, 2009 Posted December 14, 2009 yamato where is the reactive armor for my vf 0s 1 / 60
BeyondTheGrave Posted December 15, 2009 Posted December 15, 2009 yamato where is the reactive armor for my vf 0s 1 / 60 I second that; also where's the 1/60 VF-0D YAMATO?!!! On topic... The weathering is brilliant especially where it looks like burn marks/residue. Was it a pain to build or no not really?
deri Posted December 15, 2009 Author Posted December 15, 2009 I second that; also where's the 1/60 VF-0D YAMATO?!!! On topic... The weathering is brilliant especially where it looks like burn marks/residue. Was it a pain to build or no not really? First i want a second edition of the VF-0 with NO problems with the shoulders or the arms((it's probably the reason why they never make this armor), then of course this reactive armor in 1/60 scale, a VF-0D.....but i think it's just dream.... but Yamato if you read us, you known what you'll have to do! For the building it was a pleasure, but i prefere the painting part!
jardann Posted December 15, 2009 Posted December 15, 2009 It's not one of my favorite mechs, but that looks great! Your finishing really makes it look like it has some nice "weight" to it. One question, is the texture on the shin guard parts molded into the kit parts, or did you have to add it yourself during the finishing/painting stage?
big F Posted December 21, 2009 Posted December 21, 2009 Wow, this should be added to the members builds page on the main site. Please post some more of your work.
MechTech Posted December 23, 2009 Posted December 23, 2009 Awesome work deri! It's got that nice "used" look to it. - MT
VFTF1 Posted December 23, 2009 Posted December 23, 2009 Very nice. I've been oogling that model kit for two years now - but sadly I can't paint and can't glue worth squat. It is a great design and you've done it justice. I assume it can't really be posed, can it? Pete
