Renato
This does not bode well. That makes two -- and these aren't background characters, we're talking about the main stars here. Pure speculation --> It sounds to me like the actors and/or their managers are getting upset with the producers of the show. Something is going on... However good the show itself may or may not be, the behind-the-scenes drama seems far more interesting. The replacement: (Link from the Musicalture discussion on 2ch.) Renato
I wonder how many people were going to this thing just to see Sayaka? Man, I can only imagine the flood of phone calls from angry fans demanding their money back -- despite the notice explicitly stating there will be no refunds. Dear, oh dear. I heard rumours that the script was altered slightly after the main dude dropped out, but of course, with the show starting TOMORROW, there's really nothing left to do. Wow. Well, after the guy dropped out they DID accept requests for refunds. Set up terms, refund period, etc, so I suppose there must have been a lot of upset fangirls at the time. Of course, in Sayaka's case, it's far too late for any of that. And the timing is just...wow. I mean WOW. And she was so pumped for the show in the last 2 events she appeared at too...I7d really love to get the scoop on what caused this. Oh and Renato, your current handle tag suits you to a T! ;-) We just need to add some Tom cruise right? 'Uncharismatic Tom Cruise hermaphrodite'? Man, I can only imagine the flood of phone calls from angry fans demanding their money back -- despite the notice explicitly stating there will be no refunds. Dear, oh dear. So sorry...so sorry...so sorry... You know, Seiko Matsuda was one of the models of Lynn Minmay. Kawamori-san and Mikimoto-san liked her 30 years ago. Besides, Mikimoto-san was even a member of the fan club of Seiko Matsuda. Her daughter, Sayaka Kanda is a fan of Macross Frontier, and a friend of Megumi Nakajima. When I heard Sayaka-chan would appear in the Musicalture, what I said was "what a fate!" But no fate? Hmmmmmmmmmm.

azrael
Its being reported that acute gastroenteritis is the reason behind Sayaka's sudden withdrawal from the Musicalture: http://t.co/aYzTCMOG Talk about a case of the runs...If true, it's probably best that she not leave the 3-second vicinity of a toilet nor do any wild shaking, i.e. dancing, for a week. Renato
Yeah, I feel genuinely sorry for her now. I believe she was actually sincere in her excitement to be playing this part. Sucks. Is it the Macbeth/マクベス/マクロス/Macross curse? At least we got an explanation for this one, though -- unlike the main dude who just seemingly got up and left. The Valk will be displayed from Dec. 22 and... ......wait for it...... they've given up on having a standing Gerwalk. It will be the same as the Tokyo.Nagoya exhibits. I knew it! VF5SS
It probably would've worked if they built a steel inner frame and hung a light fiberglass exterior around it. Problem is that costs money.

But seems not to have been announced by HEX officially yet. This news tells about Rinne no Lagrange. When I was watching the anime, I could not help smiling when Grania and Villagulio appeared and talked to each other. She likes him. And his VA is Yuichi Nakamura. lol The VAs who had played Ranka and Alto were playing Grania and Villagulio. A Vocaloid composer livetune's new song, Transfer is sung by Nakajima-san. It will surely be performed by them in Hawaii, I guess. http://youtu.be/ej8ZQrNCwYI Edited October 9, 2012 by antibiotictab

Tochiro
Issue 14 (Nov) of Newtype Ace is the most disappointing yet as far as Macross content is concerned. No Macross The First, no supplemental pack ins, just 7 colour pages in the front with event, toy and figure news, and a few pages devoted to Minmays birthday featuring a message from Haruhiko Mikimoto. Next month however appears to be the motherload- new First, vol. 6 of the Document of Macross supplementary booklets, and the return of Macross Fortissimo, along with FB7 news etc. Edited October 10, 2012 by Tochiro
