Drad
Is this unreasonable to expect? Boards are great for sharing information, but kinda clunky to socialize with, know what I mean? Had to ask.
azrael
We once had an IRC channel. That went poof (lack of usage). Doubt we'll see it anytime soon.
Commander McBride
Might not be a bad idea, actually. If not IRC, maybe we could organize a regular AIM chat.
UN Spacy
I'm down for AIM or Live chat.......how come it didn't work last time? Not enough users during the day?
yellowlightman
Might be worth it to try to schedule a weekly chat or something. But then again, people have different schedules (and live in different timezones) so that might not work out.
Legioss
It would have to be on a Macrossworld server to get popular. DALnet sucks. It was the worst IRC network to host the Macrossworld chat that could you have possibly chose except maybe EFnet.
Mylene
I'm on IRC constantly. There are more networks out there than DAL and EFnet. I could start a channel on irchighway..... Mylene
Lu523
I use mIRC. There are a ton of place where you can download stuff. Very seldom chat. It would be nice to talk to people from here.
Shawn
There is an Invision board chat option we could officially integrate into the forums, but its something like $50 a year If enough people are interested we could do that, but I would ask for contributions, as I never chat/irc myself http://www.invisionchat.com/ S
Mechamaniac
Meh, if you want to chat, provide your AOL or ICQ ID when you register, and use that to chat with other members. I do that, and have chatted with at least 10 MW'ers on the side. Why cost Shawn any more money than he is already shelling out?. Even if he asks for contributions for it, which IMO he shouldn't have to do since he already does enough for us, and managing contributions would be one more headache. Agent ONE
I am personally well served in my correspondance with other MWers through AIM and MSN.
JsARCLIGHT
I've always found Chat rooms to be like verbal shotguns... five people trying to talk with each other about five different things is just a mess. I prefer one on one IMs to Chat environments any day of the week. My A.D.D. would just go out of control in a chat room.
Drad
I've been hosting MW live chats on AIM for the last few days, and the more the merrier. If anyone else wants in, go ahead and get AIM, and we'll add you. B)

Commander McBride
In what kind of situation can "shotgun intensive" be considered a bad thing?
