Less than Super Ostrich
Beautiful... where did you come up with for the color scheme (especially for the radome)?
Grayson72
Yup the radome is my favorite part, way cool
nightmareB4macross
Awesome Custom!!! The style looks very familiar. I am pretty sure I have seen that custom in 1/55. I will try to locate the link for that picture.
robokochan
Now that is one SWEEEEET VE-1. That just looks absolutely beautiful! Rob
jadefalconguard
Awesome....very nice custom. Now if they could bring out this bird in 1/48th scale BTW if I'm not mistaken, the idea for the randome came from a HawkEye; an "awacs" based plane that worked as the eyes and ears for the F-14 tomcats till the end of the ninties..again if I'm not mistaken
xDiscoStu
Wow, that's a great take on the VE... you've inspired me to give my Valk a less than standard paint job
BoBe-Patt
good freakin job on that!! Now if the yamato ve-1's raydome would be that low....

Goshawk
I thought AWACs were still flying?? Or did they finally replace them with the Joint Star? Just anouther question, what would a custom job like that run? Cause I know there is now way I can paint that. VF-18S Hornet
Your custom is one of the coolest I have ever seen, wish I had that talent for modeling. Edited June 7, 2005 by VF-18S Hornet

rarityraider
Beautiful... where did you come up with for the color scheme (especially for the radome)? The color scheme reference: How I make the radar color: First of all, I make the 1:1 artwork by computer. (attached ref.) Then print it on a transparency for putting the masking tape on. Use compass cutter to cut off the shapes. Spray the color by white first, then orange & black. Remask the whole disk for trimming/spraying the edge in orange. ChristopherB
Great job!!! The paint job looks flawless. To answer the question, it was Rick the Hunter who painted a 1/55 Elintseeker with this color scheme.
