  1. Don't really come here anymore, email me if you have my mail address, if you don't ....well sorry.

  2. It would be helpful, but not exactly needed. The only requirement to work in Japan is to have at least a 4 year degree in something or have a spousal visa or something. What you need and what they look at: 1. 4 Year Degree - Anything will do, but something related to teaching or English is a plus. 2. Visa Type - You need sponsorship, a company / workplace can provide it, or you can get married. 3. Experience - The more you have, the higher you are paid. If you don't have any, volunteer somewhere (Community Center or Special Needs School). 4. Patience, patience and more patience. Although they can't come out and say that they care about this, but looks do matter. If a school doesn't like the way you look, they won't even bother to respond to your resume no matter how qualified you are or the experience you have. In private school it is not about ability but advertising. Right now I work as a free-lance teacher for the ministry of education. Schools request me to come in when the JET teacher has totally screwed things up, or when JET teachers refuse to teach at a school. Starting next year the M.O.E. will be phasing out the JET program. And they will be opening up bids for private schools to take over to some extent, but mostly it will be handled by Japanese teachers who have a teaching license for English. So if you want to work inside a public school, your best chance would be to appy to a company called "W5" (pronouced "Dubba-five"). Rob
  3. Try boiling it in water. It doesn't burn and very little if any cracks. Takes a bit longer but worth it in the end. Rob
  4. If you come down to Osaka, shoot me a PM and I will be happy to meet up with you and show you around. Rob

  14. Nice little book. I picked mine up with the binder yesterday. Lots of info and the overall look is great. I recommend this to all Macross fans. The only drawback is the front cover does not have the holes for the binder and it is not easy to take apart.....And the cover is quite nice to..... Rob

    Macross Revoltech

I will be offering services on my site to order these. INFO THREAD Rob
  17. No they are not exchanging it for the right version. And they people that ordered this are honest people....not ones who would switch something out and cry foul. I will NEVER order anything (or attempt to order) from Yamato again. I have a few non-macross related orders through Yamato right now that haven't arrived that I am a bit concerned about. A very untrustworthy company IMO. This just reminds me of the time I was trying to help out people by getting replacement parts for Yamato's mistakes and the Service Rep told me that if someone needs a replaement part they should just buy a whole new Valkyrie...then they will have alot of spare parts... Edited to remove personal opinions..
  18. Yes it is...if Yamato processed the order yesterday.
  19. Well I have some news for those of you that think you may have gotten one. A few of my friends here (to their surprise) have recieved 1/48 VF-1S's in the mail today....they had the confirmation that they had indeed ordered the weathered version. But they got a normal VF-1S. And when they called Yamato to find out why and to return them....Yamato's reply. Sorry we don't take returns. Looks like Yamato has screwed up big-time. But not surprising....Maybe Yamato did play an April Fools day joke. A very bad one.
  20. Those who connected are lucky. I tried for hours and basically was stuck in a loop when I could connect to the site. Yamato in my opinion are marketing idiots.....
  21. man. I was in town yesterday. The collector / recycle shops are already hanging wanted signs for these. The paying rate is $800.00.
