Hey William, we got almost the identical car! I've got an '02 330Ci in the same titanium color.  Looks like you got better financing than I did though.  Mine's fully loaded as well, sports package, premium package, M series 17's,  225HP god I love that thing.  Handles like a dream with the tuned suspension.

Nice car! I too love it (originally I just loved the look of the thing - but now having been on the track, I can't believe how it handles!) Don't you love the type68 M-rims, I was hoping to get a set of replicas for my winter tires too (can't afford the BMW OEMs again - luckily they came with the car) I also prefer the pre-facelifted headlights like ours - they look more M3 like. Yeah, I was thinking of getting body coloured reflectors too - but with the OEM clears I had on the cars already, I'm in no hurry yet (plus there's all these new Macross goodies, GBP, VF-0S and the FM M.Falcon - I've gotta watch my spending). Plus I need winter tires & wheels in the next few months! I thought about getting the BMW OEM rear spoiler for our car though (not the M3 lip) its quite unusual, very few people have it, plus its understated without being too pimp (maybe next year)

I do indeed have some pics. Many pics, actually, but I'll use some restraint here. This is my 4th Mustang now. I don't know if I'll ever have a 5th, but since I'm in no hurry to get married and have a family, you never know.

The one thing missing is a vinyl UNSF logo in the back left window. For so long now, I've wanted a softball-sized one which says "VF-1J." I still have yet to find anyone who can make one like I want.

Wellllllllllll, I'm fairly partial for obvious reasons, but I still love Guile's Mustang in the Street Fighter movie. (And no, I didn't particularly love the movie, but I love the games like nobody's business.)

Bean Bandit's car was pretty sweet, too. Someone told me that the Gunsmith Cats spinoffs have a Mustang, but I've never seen any of that.

Oh yeah, and I kinda have an affinity for the Command Cars in Patlabor. LOL.

Axelay, Gunsmith Cats (the manga anyways) does indeed have a lot fo cool classic cars in it. Kenichi Sonada seems to be as much of a car enthusiast as he is a gun enthusiast. I haven't looked at the comics in forever, but I vaguely remember Rally (the main character from GSC) also driving a GT500...

Right you are Ken. But I also have to mention Sonoda's errors regarding that same GT-500. He first refers to it having "500 cubes," then later in the series it's "500 hp." I guess nobody thought to mention to him that the 500 in GT-500 was a completely arbitrary number.

In that same series, Bean Bandit also had a complete stable of hot cars, including a supercharged Boss 302, a 71 Mach 1 with a giant blower, and a hopped up Mustang II (?), not to mention a Fairlady Z and an old Vette of some description.

And Axelay's GT is t3h sexay.

Too funny, I fell in love with the looks of it as well. I could've cared less what it drove like but then I actually drove the thing and fell in love all over again. I was actually thinking about getting the M3 lip. It's very understated and doesn't detract from the overall lines of the car.

Sometimes I do feel like a bit of a snob driving it around though, especially when I'm at a stop light and I look over and see some 50 year old dude driving a Geo Metro. Then again I get a lot of looks from the ladies sitting in it.

I have yet to see any of the éX-Driver titles, even though I'm a fan of Kousuke Fujishima's works. Maybe I should reopen my NetFlix account and rent them all.

Given that a lot of people like Guile's Shelby GT 500, I'm a bit surprised no one mentioned Ken's Porsche 911 Targa Cabriolet.

I'm even more surprised that no one voted for the Mach 5.

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh no. Not THAT Street Fighter movie. I meant the anime. If you ask me, Kurt Russel's character Col. O' Neil in Stargate was so much more like what I envision Guile to be like than anything else I've ever seen.

Every now and then, SPEED Channel will do something cool; over the w'end, they aired the original Gone in 60 Seconds. I can say I finally got to see the classic original, and all I can say is dayum! I already thought the remake probably wouldn't be as good as the original in some respects--now I know why I was right not to like the new ver. Sure, there's plenty of cheese in the original, but compared to "Toby" Haliki's vision, the Bruckheimer ver. sucks ass lint.

Mrs. Haliki probably wouldn't like the analogy, but this movie could be considered "porn for car-guys." All the pre-requisites are there: it's from the 70's; the acting pretty much sucks--there are no professionals, just Toby's friends, IIRC; there's the bad 70s "boomp-chicka-boom-boom" soundtrack barely audible in the background; and the plot? we don't need no stinking plot! all we need's a story just flimsy enough to push us along to the next big money shot! [i.e. crashes, chases, and lots of badass cars!]. After seeing the final chase scene [over 40 minutes long! whew!], I felt like I needed a cigarette.

And I don't smoke.

Actually, the original cut had no soundtrack. The music was added to the Special Edition release. You may also want to hunt down an old VHS copy of the film, as the sound effects were authentic.

And the late Toby Halicki was a crazy mofo. Not only did he write, produce, direct and star in the movie, he did all of the Eleanor stunts and drove some of the other cars as well.

Some trivia on the film (from IMDb):

- The scene where Eleanor hits a telephone pole was not planned.

- The train wreck on the opening scene was not in the script at all. Halicki heard about the wreck at the last minute and drove to the scene to start filming.

- In the scene where a police car overturns up a hill, the officer was nearly crushed when the roof was caved in by the siren can.

- For the scene where a police car slams on numerous Cadillacs at a dealership, film crew put oil under the tires of the Cadillacs. The stunt worked too well, though, as the stunt Cadillacs slammed against real Cadillacs that were up for sale. Halicki ended up purchasing all of them.

If you want more auto carnage, rent The Junkman and Deadline Auto Theft, Halicki's other films. The Junkman is already in the Guinness Book of World Records as having the largest number of vehicles wrecked on film. Deadline Auto Theft includes Gone in 60 Seconds II, which was unfinished because Halicki was killed when a water tower fell on him during filming.

- Kyle Busch accidentally spun Kasey Kahne to the wall. During the caution laps, Kahne ran his car across Busch's front end. Kahne was fined $10,000 and 25 points.

- The highlight of the race was when Michael Waltrip sent Robby (not related to Jeff) Gordon hard into the wall. During the caution laps, Gordon threw his helmet at Waltrip's car. Then, during a live interview, he said 'poo' while venting his frustrations. Waltrip was also caught flipping Gordon on live TV through his on-board camera. Waltrip was fined $10,000 and 25 points. Gordon got penalized $35,000 and 50 points for his troubles.

That race was hilarious. Topped with Tony Stewart's comments about how people said he used to be the bad guy and a red flag mostly to get them all to cool off. I just wish Kasey hadn't said in way "Dale Jarret did it at Bristol so I did it" when he tried to run over Busch in relatiation. So much for that 7 second delay Nascar claimed it would have for broadcasts last year, huh?

F1 news:

Fernando Alonso (Renault) becomes the youngest F1 World Driver Champion after finishing 3rd at the Grand Prix in Brazil, mathematically eliminating Raikkonen from the driver's championship race. Montoya and Raikkonen finish 1st and 2nd in the race, giving McLaren Mercedes their 1st 1-2 finish since 2000.

There are 2 more races left in the F1 season. After today's race, McLaren Mercedes takes the lead in the Constructor's Championship over the Renault by only 2 points. Next 2 races should be exciting to see who wins manufacturer's bragging rights.

Yeah, what an amazing turn of events in the world of F1. Until last year, it was the Michael Schumacher Show. But Ferrari bowing out of contention gave plenty of room for new stars to rise to the top.

Next year's F1 will be interesting, as Red Bull's been buying other teams.

In a display of the depths of tackiness that some people will sink to--and this from "sophisticated" Europeans, no less--I give you these photos of appaling taste at work. These are from the entries in this year's Gumball 2005; apparently more of a corporate marketing junkett than the foot to the floor "outlaw" race of lore...still, it looks like it'd be a helluva ball to drive in. The entire spectrum of automobilia was represented it seems; from lowly VW microbuses, to the latest super exotica. But this paint job? Bleh! I'll admit--I liked the old show, I even dig 69 Chargers--but on a Maranello? That's just wrong, man!

You lucky bastard. Those 80's Toyota pickups are without a doubt the greatest vehicle ever made. The 22R (and later 22RE) blocks are insanely reliable and tough. I'd suggest looking up the Top Gear segment where they try to destroy one of the 22R pickups, it's insane the stuff they do to it.

I found out that mine actually is the 22RE, since mine's the first year for EFI.

I'm gonna try to find the turbo parts off of a 4Runner and see about modding it; somewhere online I found a rumor of one surviving 20+PSI and making nearly 350HP!

The turbo 4Runners are pretty rare. But for comparison, I vaguely remember Toysport having a ~1000HP 22RE block for drag racing. Might want to check out their site for more info, toysport.com.
