Ryuji
I use "Ibere" - it's local brand used for car body repair. I never used Tamiya, so I can't say wich one is better but probably is same - including bad smell and hard to sand.
peter
Less pics of putty, more pics of figure.
polidread
ah, so when you use this car putty, what tools do you use to put them over the figure, like what do you use to apply the material that is going to be intended for the skirt? how fast does the stuff dry so you can start sanding?
Ryuji
I'm still sanding her skirt...it's very hard to make resin cloth look "natural". I usually wait about 1 hour to start to sand the putty after application.

peter
Haha, yes, a removeable skirt is an awesome idea!
NERV
some constructive criticism, in your first pic, second part the way the dress hangs off her right leg doesnt look natural, doesnt look like hanging cloth, looks like it's supporting itself too much
promethuem5
Isnt a putty with such a low viscosity rather hard to sculpt? I was assuming you were using something more along the lines in terms of workability like Sculpey or anotehr more clay-like material. Most impressive. Gotta love the 'action features' that figure has right now
baxojayz
There are many methods to sculpt. I've seen a lot of guys use the same method as Ryuji. It's a lot of sanding, so you must have the deepest commitment to the project. As long as his results remain so great, I wouldn't ask Ryuji to change a thing. I have some of his other kits. All great stuff. I bow before your greatness! Now where's that pre-order button?
