Rumor going around from SDCC is that there's going to be a new version of 300 for BluRay that includes the HD-DVD extras as well as some new extras as well. -
Transformers: Animated

Mmm.....cartoon looks like fun. Toys still look like an updated version of the TF Go-go-go-Gobots! line to me. -
And this is the reason why I prefer playing GT to Burnout. Better physics, no stupid arcady crash the other guy to build up your turbo power, no "equalizing" the field if you're kicking your opponent in a faster car but somehow they're catching up. It's all about pure driving ability. ...and yes I routinely kick the GT's cpu ass.
-
About time GT had behind the steering wheel view...with hands, steering wheel and car hood. That's the one view I really wanted in GT and they finally added it. I'm sold. Any news if car manufacturers are finally letting Sony add collision damage to their cars?

Just played through the Heavenly Sword demo. If you watch Heroes it's the same stage that Nikki was playing when she was showing off her l33t gaming skills to Micah. Game play wise it's like God of War only prettier.

Heavenly Sword demo is out. 996MB download.

I'll know in 2 hours. I'm at work and don't have my PSP with me.

Two must buy movies for me(not including Cars). Blade Runner BluRay 5 Disc set: Info revealed at Comic Con. http://www.blu-ray.com/news/?id=352 Pirates 3: Worlds End Dec. 4th http://www.blu-ray.com/news/?id=353 Still need to pick up Ninja Gaiden Sigma and R6: Vegas. I'll pick up NGS eventually, still debating R6:V. I've already finished R6 on my friends XBox360. Is it really worth plunking down money for a few extra stages?

Animextreme. It's on Spadina north of Dundas. Revoltech's there are cheaper then Silver Snails but they have a smaller collection. -
Hey Js, better get a BluRay player by Nov. because Cars is going Blu! http://www.hollywoodinhighdef.com/blog_detail.php?id=95 July 18, 2007 Cars to Make DeBlu on Nov. 6 Comments: 6 "Cars" will debut in Blu on Nov. 6, according to a Disney exec with whom I was just chatting. This sounds like it will be a pretty special Blu-ray Disc release with director John Lasseter taking a very hands-on approach to every nuance of the entire Blu-ray edition from the transfer to the Blu bonus features (in addition to all the extras from last year's DVD). The coolest-sounding BD extra is maybe the most elaborate BD-J interactivity yet called "Car Finder," allowing users to search for the more than 200 different cars featured in the movie and even race the clock to find a specific car in a frozen frame of film. Details of the makes and models of each car will also be accessible. (Sounds like a feature devised by reported car-nut Lasseter, doesn't it?) All the featurettes and audio commentaries of the DVD, plus a previously unreleased Traffic School scene, are presented in a "Cinemavision" dashboard interface that allows users to view them any way they want, popping up during relevant parts of the movie or stand-alone. Several of the shorts on the original DVD will be in hi-def on the Blu-ray version, which, by the way, I'm told is encoded in AVC. And Disney is pricing it at $34.99 suggested retail, only $5 higher than last year's DVD edition. That DVD version was the big winner last night at the Entertainment Merchants Association's Home Media Expo in Las Vegas with three Home Entertainment Awards -- family, children's and sell-through title of the year. Disney already reported yesterday (see my Tuesday blog) that they will be offering demos and hands-on play of the "Cars" bonus features at their 18-city road show tour of malls starting soon, so maybe some of you can feed us your early first-hand reports about the bonus features!

It sticks together well enough until I do the shake test ala Grahams VF-1 video. Then it falls apart. Surprisingly the leg armor stays on just fine.

Finally got around to opening and attaching my fp set from HLJ. Pros: a) Looks nice. More aggressive. b) Yang rocks. Cons: a) For a $40 plastic add on set batteries should have been included. b) Alpha One doesn't peg together as well in fighter mode as when it's not using the FP. c) Fold booster does not stay on when I attempt a loop de looop.

Harry Pottter and the order of the phoenix
Dangard Ace replied to jwinges's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Been ages since I read the novels....but I liked it. Much more action oriented/darker then the previous ones but I remember the book being darker as well. Also watching the final battle in IMAX helps too. -
I expect that they will sell out of their 60GB version stockpile by Christmas time. When that happens they'll drop the price of the 80GB by $100. By that time it'll seem like they're "listening" to their consumers and dropping the price for them. Personally I don't care since I've already had the 60GB since launch. Got about 5 games and 4 movies. I just want HD-DVD to die so Universal will bring their moveis over to BluRay.....and bring on the games!

Does not come with an HDMI cable. Does have optical audio out.

I'm of the different opinion. I hate the automorph gimmick for Blackout because it makes changing him back to vehicle fiddle but once it's done right he's rock solid in both modes. Megatrons vehicle mode just sucks so much ass. Parts don't lock in(arms), legs are a bitch to get under the wings(and the instructions are useless) and to hide his head they flip a piece up that barely hides his nose. Bot modes not bad except for the neutered claw. Swapping the really strong spring from the "cannon" arm to the claw makes it so much better but now it's got a too short chain and the claw can't really fly. -

Of course he's going to pronounce your injuries fatal. Perceptor isn't a doctor he's a scientist. He's just waiting for you to die so he can dissect you. -

TF MOVIE RULE. ANYTHING THAT'S IN THE MOVIE BOOKS DON'T GET DISCUSSED UNLESS YOU SPOILER IT. IE. USE WHITE TEXT. THANK YOU FOR YOUR CO-OPERATION. (can you tell I'm a little pissed off?) -
You guys should read the book "I am Legend" before going to watch this movie. It's influenced both the Omega Man and Living Dead movies.

Bendable paper thin display from Sony? http://www.dailymail.co.uk/pages/live/arti...in_page_id=1965 -
It's a movie about friggin' Pirates! Arrr!!! Don't know why you people are expecting an epic or overanalyzing it. It's got boats. It's got swordplay. It's got the attack of the 50ft woman. It's got A-list actors. It's a good fun swashbuckling summer blockbuster movie. Sit back and enjoy the ride. If nothing else go watch it for the TF or FF trailer.
