I'm of the different opinion. I hate the automorph gimmick for Blackout because it makes changing him back to vehicle fiddle but once it's done right he's rock solid in both modes. Megatrons vehicle mode just sucks so much ass. Parts don't lock in(arms), legs are a bitch to get under the wings(and the instructions are useless) and to hide his head they flip a piece up that barely hides his nose. Bot modes not bad except for the neutered claw. Swapping the really strong spring from the "cannon" arm to the claw makes it so much better but now it's got a too short chain and the claw can't really fly. -

Of course he's going to pronounce your injuries fatal. Perceptor isn't a doctor he's a scientist. He's just waiting for you to die so he can dissect you. -

TF MOVIE RULE. ANYTHING THAT'S IN THE MOVIE BOOKS DON'T GET DISCUSSED UNLESS YOU SPOILER IT. IE. USE WHITE TEXT. THANK YOU FOR YOUR CO-OPERATION. (can you tell I'm a little pissed off?) -
You guys should read the book "I am Legend" before going to watch this movie. It's influenced both the Omega Man and Living Dead movies.

This it? http://youtube.com/watch?v=uLAPP4DkG_Q Cause the above link isn't working for me.

Bendable paper thin display from Sony? http://www.dailymail.co.uk/pages/live/arti...in_page_id=1965 -
It's a movie about friggin' Pirates! Arrr!!! Don't know why you people are expecting an epic or overanalyzing it. It's got boats. It's got swordplay. It's got the attack of the 50ft woman. It's got A-list actors. It's a good fun swashbuckling summer blockbuster movie. Sit back and enjoy the ride. If nothing else go watch it for the TF or FF trailer.

Positive reviews on SD-DVD upscaling. Appears that the videophiles(?) are really impressed with the FW upgrade. http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?t=851628

Hollywood Prime's stacks are bendy rubber. Very hard for children to break or poke out their eyes with. On the other hand there's a hell of alot of kibbly bits all over Hollywood Prime(shoulder pads, knees, back). All the parts you would chrome rub against something. The chrome would be gone in a week. -
Must avoid this thread until after Saturday.

Yup. I use those clear plastic bands Hasbro is fond of using to keep the arms locked to his chest. -
Awesome. Thanks for the info. Twonky says it's got an OSX version so I'm going to try that on my Macs and TVersity on my XP box. Should be interesting. Twonkyvision works great with OS X. MP3 and movies are streaming over flawlessly so far.

Anybody got DLNA media center connectivity figured out? PS3 doesn't see any of my PC's(Macs' and XPPC) even though sharing is on for all. My PS3 connects wirelessly to the internet just fine.

Yes that was FH original intent. He thought that Claire was dead in his timeline and that Sylar had her regen ability. He didn't know that HRG had already hidden away Claire. FH was wrong in his assumptions. When CH jumped to the future in Five Years Gone Claire was still alive, just hidden by HRG. It appears that Sylar has a rise-from-the-dead-power that he's already obtained from one of the dead people on The List. He's used it at least twice. Once when the OWI/Primatech technician killed/nearly killed him(we see a cockroach then) and now in the season finale after being run through by Hiro(and we see a cockroach again). This power though isn't instantaneous regen like Claires so leaves him vulnerable to dismemberment or some form of physical restraint while he's "dead". That explains why he would want her power. BUT FH was also right in a way. Saving the Cheerleader did save the world. Sending Peter to meet Claire at Homecoming started changing the future. The original bomb witnessed by CH was during the day. This bomb was a nighttime affair. I standby my Jiminy Cricket theory above. If Claire did not meet Peter she would not have run to NYC to look for him after Company Man, a man who was like her, someone she could trust. She would not have met her father and have been in NYC at the crucial time to be his conscience. She would have been hiding in France under the assumed name Vivian something-from Canada. and Nathan would not have been there to swoop Peter into the sky to harmlessly explode above the city. I too believe that FH did still stab Sylar. I'd need to watch FYG to confirm that though.

1) It isn't preventing Sylar from getting Claire's power. It's keeping Claire alive to be Nathan's conscience(Jiminey Cricket). Without her questioning him, rather harshly, before her swan dive out the window I don't think Nathan would have tried to stop Peter from exploding. 2a) Peter was already having trouble containing his exploding power from....exploding. I don't think he could spare the willpower from exploding to fly away. 2b) That would have such a rip off of the death the DC character Firestorm(nuclear man) it's not funny. 3) George Takei was there(blacksmith store) to see Hiro off on his quest to save Ando and the world.

I was expecting Peter to start radiating like poor dead Ted in Company Man. Then HRG...er...Noah to give Claire a belt of Tranqs to sedate Peter except one wouldn't work so she'd stab him with a handful sending him into a coma but saving the world. Would make the tag "Save the Cheerleader, Save the World" more meaningful in a physical way. Though she did act as Nathan's conscience before she dove out the window...

Gotta admit the ending wasn't what I was expecting but made sense. Still I was looking forward to a Sylar vs Peter all out power fight but in the end I wasn't disappointed. Let down, yes but not disappointed. Wasn't going to happen. The Heroes were fighting to prevent the bomb from destroying NYC but they also don't want people to know that they're "special". They'd immediately be hunted down. If that became the case then all the fans would be out screaming that it was an even bigger rip of X-men's Days of Future Past story arc. With regards to powers, none of them are very skilled or powerful, except for possibly Sylar, with their abilities. Future Peter could have done all that you outlined in your scenario but that's in five years. Present Peter has a ton of abilities but he has crap control. He only has access to them when he's getting the tar beat out of him. Lastly funnelling up a nuclear explosion/fallout? That's about the last thing you want to do. All those movies about nuclear fallout tell me this. Ah but the bomb/NYC explosion did happen. Remember when Hiro first saw it? It was in the future and it was daytime. As long as Hiro remembers it it happened because it's what started him off on his journey.

The occasional anti-(insert Sony/Nintendo) swipe I expect here as I'd expect the same in the Wii and PS3 threads but you guys are straying off topic. Stick to Xbox discussion in this thread.
