Saw the film last night. Went in with no expectations and you know what I was entertained. The franchise sorely needed a reboot since the TNG movies and IMO this one worked. You can't do that with the original cast, half of them are dead and the other half....well they won't appeal to the young'uns. The new cast came oh so close to matching the look, mult-ethnic feel of the original....except for Chekov. He felt off to me. The rest of the actors weren't exactly Shatner, Nimoy, Kelley(sp?) etc of the original cast but they came close and added their own interpretations and it worked. Kirk needed to stall his words abit more though. He talked too fast. A few negatives were that the edits seemed pretty rough in some places. and at the end the music seemed out of place. This will be a fun movie to have on Bluray.

Your best bet is to pray to Shawn for the return of the old forums. That or you start sacrificing virgins on a full moon to Shawn. I don't think that would really help but you never know.

The subtle improvements of the 1/60v2 over the 1/48 are nice. So much whiter too or did the 1J just yellow?

So what? MS did the same thing for some of their games. As I see it Sony is finally showing a commitment to pushing the PS3 as a game console. Business as usual for the game companies. That said, Valkyria Chronicles is really really good. Gameplay is fun, character development is awesome, and storyline is interesting. I've just finished Chapter 13 last night and The two movies after that were kinda satisfying. Poor Welker.

Transformers fans sorta outnumber Macross fans a billion to one. They can mass produce more and sell for smaller margins.

Downloaded it and played it. Disappointed that the demo is multiplayer only and was MVC really just a four button game? LP, SP, LK, SK? Kind of messed me up playing the SF characters since I was expecting 6 buttons.

I've got the Sony Alpha as well, had it/wanted it since it was first released that Sony bought out Minolta and was releasing a DSLR June/July 2006. Got mine in Sept 2006. Using that body with my old Tokina/Minolta lenses and I've got no complaints. Couple of old pics with that setup below. Focusing on tiny toys like the Revoltechs was a bitch. I'd love to move up the A900 but I don't really need that body since this is only a hobby for me.

Yeah but some of us EMS our toys. I think I might just let any new packages sit around for a few weeks before opening them.....maybe. I haven't heard any reports that Japan/China has been infected. I think toys are still okay.

I actually like it like that. It sets up a battle of the psyches. Is the Nathan character stronger then the Sylar character? Who will eventually win out? Two minds, one body. The war hero versus the psychopath. It makes Sylar back to being a bit character, exactly what he should have been in the series instead of being made a regular.

Well if people would stop bitching about not having enough "powers" being displayed throughout the series then they could have saved up for a special effects bonanza season finale. That and they need a fight coordinator. Man these Heroes punch like wusses. I don't agree that Sylar should have died in S1, his powerful evil character was fun and he got away in the end but I utterly dislike that they made Quinto a regular in S2. So many regular "Heroes" but one regular "Villain"? Basically made it the Sylar show. I once again blame the producers/writers for reading forums and acting on what the fans wanted instead of thinking things through their own way. Making Sylar a reoccuring practically unstoppable villain would have made him utterly badass. Now we get stuck with this Sylar/Nathan hybrid. That said I enjoyed S3, I still think Peter's an idiot, and one overglaring plothole. Why didn't they just cut Claire and inject Nathan with her blood? Does her magic blood have a time limit in that it doesn't work on people dead after a certain amount of time? IIRC HRG was injected immediately after being shot. Was Nathan too far gone to try? Loved: Tracy's back and I'm pretty sure she's the new villain. How do you fight a person made of water? A person made of fire! Let's see if Meredith comes back.

Yeah the Fanprojects guys showed up at TFCon.ca. Really nice guys to talk to....except that there was a huge line to talk to them. haha. I'm looking forward to the Superion parts project. That's supposed to be ready for ordering June/July this year.

Yay. More broken/cheap screws. I think that the members that had this happen to them just replaced the screw with a screw from a junker Bandai toy. OR you could email HLJ about the problem and they might be able to hook you up or replace it.

Anyone else find the first half of this episode confusing? Sets up for a nice final episode. I wonder who's going to die?

If Yamato is unwilling to make a 1/60 Spartan....anyone know how to design a papercraft version?
