    On Zolan hybrids my take on it is that it is an in universe Did not do research. We don't know exactly when humanity made contact with the Zolans. My guess they can't wrap their minds on the fact they are related to humans and Zentradi. As seen on the Rax ruin episode the Protoculture planned their sub-races to procreate. Can you imagine the cultural impact of discovering your race is engineered when archeological and evolutionary evidence run contrary to it? Global himself was reluctant to admit humans were creations of the Protoculture reasoning there must be another answer. Only in Macross Zero did we get the answer. Yes humanity did evolve on Earth but the reason for their present form is because the Protoculture used a virus to manipulate genes.

    I'm waiting for the Zentradi mecha pics particularly the Regult-Reah and the glaug so can know their model names.

    I do believe invasion is prohibited under the treaty but nothing says it is illegal to immigrate there and become that world's citizens especially if said planet invited them to benefit from technological uplift. Do note the new UN government of Earth was formed by both Humans and Zentradi thus there is a historical precedent.

    From the profiles Chuck is a native of Ragna. It is interesting that two fleets chose to settle and integrate into inhabited planets. Makes me wonder if Ragna and Windermere had some history between them before the nUN/NUN came into the picture.

    Delta Squad are more like backup dancers. They are not the main focus unlike Alto with his Kabuki poses.

    Question is if the NUN is capable of producing an infiltration type Evil Series. They have the planet where they have been made. Technology has certainly leaked. In Mylene Beat a Evil series was created by Col. Barton and Dr. Sazapi. In Macross the Ride the Queadluun Alma has a Protodevin type barrier able to no sell Macross Cannons.

    Plus there was a time the Ghost was considered a replacement mainline fighter then changed doctrine to a VF and Ghost combined arms doctrine after Sharon Apple. Ragna and Windermere military forces has shown interesting advances in drone technology. Al Shahal garrison forces may have stood a better chance with Ghosts backing the VF-171. Just depends how good Aerial Knights' jamming technology is.

    I like to think the place where Gamlin's father funeral was at was Mars. Macross Chronicle hints some teraforming techniques used on various planets.

    Daedalus and Prometheus, Apollo from Greek mythology are in SDF Macross. I see problem with Chaos.

    The VF-31A has the Alpha symbol on it indicating there could be an Alpha Squadron. The last time we saw an Alpha Squadron was part of the VF-X Ravens.

    Nah Fold Quartz Space Folds are zero time lags. In SDFM 10 hours of Space Fold is something like 10 days real time. This is why they had to readjust clocks in MF. Like Earth with military tech the Protoculture reserves the best for themselves. They actually nerfed Humans' Space Time Resonance Ability as only a select few bloodlines can regenerate the Bird Human.

    I've been reading the Macross Frontier Japanese Wikipedia page saying the Protoculture figured out to create Artificial Fold Quartz citing the Macross Chronicle Worldguide on the Vajra which I also checked. Given the Var syndrome song maiden has purple stuff around her we can assume it is Fold Quartz. Given the Aerial Knights don't have G-suits we can assume the SV-262 Draken also has Fold Quartz equipped ISC. So presumably Windermere has its own Protoculture ruins where the Kingdom of Wind gets theirs. This being the Outer Rim and the mention of Protoculture remnants 2000 years after the fall of the Stellar Republic increases those chances. Worst case scenario the Kingdom of Wind figured out how to create Fold Quartz from Fold Ore learning from the Protoculture.

    Is there any official mention of Fold Carbon being used in "cheaper" version of the ISC? As far as I know in order to produce ISC according to Macross Chronicle you need Fold Quartz. The Macross Frontier Japanese wikipedia terminology section mentions it.

    I doubt situations like this was intended when the Protoculture made these races capable to breed with each other.

    While we are on the subject of private military contractors like SMS as pointed out by Seito Kaiba there are several instances of corporate forces. Critical Path Corporation from Macross VF-X2 has private army with black market connections. Macross Galaxy is an odd one compared to other Macross fleets. Their NUNS forces did not originate with UN Spacy or UN Forces but was known as Macross Galaxy Corporate Army.

    In SDF Macross episode 31 Satan's Dolls Global's answer whether Humans were created like the Zentradi by the Protoculture is that he didn't think so. Yeah well you have fossil evidence on one side and the Zentradi genome on the other. The answer comes in Macross Zero where Dr. Hasford's Protoculture theory states that Human primate ancestors were modified by a virus so that Humans would evolve in its present form. Of course the good doctor went insane wanting humanity wiped out and the Bird Human create a new race in our place. He's smart but stupid in thinking he has all the answers as he doesn't know about the Survey Ship that seeded Earth but was blown up on the way back home. Global didn't have that piece of data at the time due to it being classified and the mess Earth went through. Zolans had similar circumstances only they evolved from marsupials. Writers of the Zomeo and Zuliet radio drama would like to think while Humans and Zolans can have sex they can't have children. Only to confirm in Macross Frontier they can like Humans and Zentradi do have hybrid children. http://macross.anime.net/wiki/2030 Basically without the Westermarck effect in play Genetic Sexual Attraction happens where close relatives are sexually attracted to each other with them having sex and children. Either that or they keep producing the same clones that they are vulnerable to the same diseases. Like what happened with the Potato famine as potatoes were clones of each other. Hence hereditary diseases are more likely.

Zola has its own Galaxy Patrol, Galaxy Patrol in Zola is more of law enforcement like the Coast Guard. Max and Milia during their time in Dancing Skull Squadron was under the UN Intelligence Division usually dealing with rebel Zentradi and Human separatists. However in one mission they had to deal with a UN Forces mistake on the Protoculture ruin planet New Asia. They had to exterminate giant Bugs created with Protoculture technology. 117th Research Fleet was in Macross Frontier studying the Vajra. At the time Mao Nome was the foremost expert on the Protoculture. The Varauta Research Fleet was sent from the Varauta colony to the 4th planet of the system on orders of Earth UN Forces HQ. That unsealed the Protodevlin. (Sensing a pattern here?) The SDFN Macross Class ships are meant to lead recon fleets trailblazing the paths of emigration fleets. Those named are SDFN-01 Takashi Hayase, SDFN-04 Global which was abandoned and destroyed in Macross Frontier, and SDFN-08 Vrlitwhai Kridanik aka Vrlitwhai City which colonized Planet Ouroboros. There is no emigration fleet called Macross 13. Instead the name is taken by a fleet defending Earth. 727th Independent Squadron VF-X Ravens was attached to the Macross 13 Fleet in Macross VF-X2 in 2050 to 2051. In the Macross Frontier Light Novel Macross 13 was led by former SDF-1 Macross bridge operator now Lt. General Kim Kabirov in defense of Earth from Macross Galaxy's Vajra invasion.

    Theory: Delta is set at the Outer Rim and according to Egan Loo's Macross Chronology 2000 years after the fall of the Stellar Republic there were still Protoculture colony fleets, colony bunches, planets and outposts at the edge of the galaxy. The reason why the Survey Ship seeded Earth with a virus that modified Human ancestors was that the Protoculture later intended to colonize Earth. After the war the Protoculture's numbers still continue to decline. I'm beginning to suspect the reason for seeding Sub-Protoculture races was to supplement the Protoculture's own reproduction as they are capable of bearing hybrids. Why not cloning? As seen with the continued use of cloning by Humans heredity problems will crop up. In DYRL the Protoculture resorted to cloning resulting to a gender war between them. Cloning has its pitfalls. Sub-Protoculture races are probably meant as breeding stock.

    The destruction brought by Space War 1 and the reconstruction certainly affected demographics. Milia had 7 children herself but Shammy had 11. Mylene had her driver's license at age 10 and was being arranged by Milia for marriage at 14. Milia probably has the same sort of mentality as the Mayor Freyja was complaining about back home. Better get married when you are young. Freyja is also 14. I don't know if this is Windermerian cultural quirks or they got it from Humans and Zentradi. On Earth one can join the military at 15 if given special permission like Gamlin. Frontier's age of majority is 17 though so things could be different from fleet to fleet. Alto joined SMS at 17.
