  1. Macross E is set in 2062 same year as Macross Musiculture. The story is about a Chaos pilot and singer to try to calm down the Var syndrome. Pretty much proto-Walkure and Delta squad.
  2. Some anon viewing 2ch which I'm assuming from the same anime magazine sourcewhere we got info about Walkure and Mirage. https://translate.google.com/translate?hl=en&sl=ja&tl=en&u=http%3A%2F%2Ftoro.2ch.sc%2Ftest%2Fread.cgi%2Fanime%2F1462500115%2F&sandbox=1 After using Google translate here is the gist of it. Basically after the Unification War ex-Anti-UN researchers who scattered across the galaxy contributed to the Sv-262 Draken III. Their tech is better than United Forces and are complicit to what happened to Windermere. This whole heir to the Protoculture thing is pretty much covering the Windermerean shock and inferiority complex. Physically they are the strongest among the Children of the Protoculture with exception of the Zentradi of course but they are the shortest lived and those other races don't have Runes. They had this existential crisis of their worth. Then comes in ex-AUN scientists offering them technology and perhaps ideology as well. These factors Windermere to secede from the NUN. Now they're trying to conquer the cluster out to prove something.

  4. Macross Chronicle points out he is part Zolan as well from a grandparent. Macross F 2059 Memories however say he is part Zentrradi. there. I take it his family likes to procreate with alien girls. Alas in the TV continuity his line ends with him. Mind you in Macross 7 during the ruin episode the Protoculture were counting on their children to procreate with each other. On another note I got from 2ch info that being a mechanic is in Makina's blood. She loves mechs, she loves idols. Being in Walkure she can fulfill her dream of both.
  5. Mind you unverified info. Got it from /m/ which I managed to trace to 2ch. Supposedly from a anime magazine. https://translate.google.com/translate?hl=en&sl=ja&tl=en&u=http%3A%2F%2Fkako.futakuro.com%2Ffuta%2Fmay_b%2F405869325%2F Mirage was interested in Walküre prior to being scouted by Arad because she had heard about Minmay from her grandparents and then there was also her aunt Mylene. Kaname debuted in the past as a normal idol but retired, because she didn't get any popularity. She joined Walkure as the manager but she ended up having a high level of fold receptors so she became a member. Reina was caught hacking into Chaos and they brought her on because she had the aptitude Makina has the blood of a mechanic (further leading credence to the likely possibility she's related to the old mechanic from Zero). She likes mecha and idoling and wants to fulfil the dream of both.
  6. Since they have Protoculture ruins it is possible they have Fold Quartz for something like the Sound Jamming System. The Vajra on their own could jam Ghost drones until Luca implemented counter measures.
  7. There is a theory it is in her blood as she is a descendant of Raizo Nakajima.
  8. Thing is Kaname would approve of it as it would lead to the stabilization of Freyja's Fold Receptor Factor. Which would make Messer look like a fool. His anti-social tendencies has made him vulnerable to Var. Thing is Arad has made a team of misfits Messer included.
  9. However I suspect it is an effect of whatever dimensional weapon Windermere used. Keith keeps mentioning they are out of time that it is possible their planet is in danger as a result thus this desperation of taking over planets in the cluster. Most likely similar to the advanced arsenal planet on the Varauta system Windermere messed with something they souldn't have. We've seen both biological and artificial Protoculture barrier systems before in Macross 7. Also somehow Fasces got their hands on a Protodevlin barrier system.
  10. While it seems apples are the only export Windermere leading to a trade imbalance, I assume, I wonder if the events of Macross Frontier has affected them economically. Luca said whoever has the monopoly on Fold Quartz rules the galaxy. It could be with Protoculture ruins having Fold Quartz Windermrere is expecting a massive windfall making them an economical and political power house in the NUN. Ouroboros while having Fold Quartz in its ruins can be unaccessible for years. Then Frontier receives a planet full Fold Quartz given by the Vajra. Either they have a monopoly on Fold Quartz flooding the market or the NUN restricts Fold Quartz trade as it is so weaponize. Goodbye Windermere's dream of being great thus the monarchy xenophobes begin a revolution to kick out the NUN as in their point of view they had broken promises. Also seeing a bunch of cyborgs try to rule the galaxy offended their pride.
  11. Well Messer seems to be vulnerable to Var. Certainly needs anger management. Arad's intention of having Chuck and Hayate in the team was to balance off Messer and Mirage who were NUNS. I suppose Messer and Mirage have issues fitting in NUNS as we've seen in Frontier and in VF-X2 pilots are like them in attitude. Gamlin was serious but he knew when to unwind.
  12. Who funded Macross Galaxy? General Galaxy known to build fighters to ships engines to the City class.
  13. Bet when the NUN and NUNS heard Var was mind control they probably thought NOT THIS AGAIN! Sharon Apple, Protodevlin and Macross Galaxy did that. For now Roid doesn't want excessive blood shed but I fear eventually pull Marduk style kamikaze attacks of the Var victims. Pilots like Gamlin doesn't like fighting mind control pilots as they are stripped of a pilot's pride. Chuck and Mirage probably feel the same way.
  14. As stated by Roid they believe they are the rightful heirs of the Protoculture not Humans. This is out of envy of Earth being a more advanced civilization. Perhaps this philosophy is also reaction to Lactence which is a pro-Earth and pro-central government. The majority of humanity does not share that view that is why decentralization happened. The Zentradi chapter of Lactence Fasces believe Earth culture is pretty much the second coming of the Protoculture and all Children of the Protoculture should unite into a Stellar Republic 2.0. Other Zentradi like Richard Bilrer isn't as extreme but believes the way to the unification of the Children of the Protoculture is through making the galaxy a smaller place thus enriching culture. On the plus side of humanity being heirs of the Protoculture they have fulfilled the Protoculture's hopes. Different species coming together with love. They have succeeded where the Protoculture failed. Having the Protodevlin be no longer a threat to all life by convincing them to change. And has done something they dared not do. Make friends with the Vajra. To quote Delenn of B5: "Before the war Dukhat wanted to know more about your people, so I began studying your history. I came to the conclusion that of all the races we had encountered humans were the most dangerous. Because humans form communities, and from that diversity comes a strength no single race can withstand. That is your strength and it is that which makes you dangerous." -- Delenn to Sheridan in Babylon 5:"Lines of Communication"
  15. I do wonder if the dimensional barrier on Windermere is similar to the Ouroboros aurora where there are fold faults. If so NUNS can't make a first strike as it negates fold drives... Unless Chaos has Fold Dimensional Resonance System on their VF-31s. As the VF-31 was based on the YF-30.
  16. Dude Kawamori has been wanting to do this since Air Calvary Chronicles, his original idea for Escaflowne. VF knight mechs instead of just steampunk knight mechs.
  17. The Galaxy Treaty forbids invasion of planets with intelligent life. Which was why it was a big deal that Frontier went to colonize the Vajra homeworld without telling the NUN. But this was 40 years ago we don't know when the treaty was ratified. The government went from a centralized government to a decentralized one. Granting sovereignty to fleets and planets. Which is probably why the NUN didn't care when Windermere seceded. Humans seem to have this Earthman's Burden in uplifting their fellow Sub-Protoculture due to their trauma in Space War 1. Zola was uplifted but they did it at their own pace as industrialization of their planet isn't their despite having mostly 20th century level of tech. Zolans want to be in harmony with nature. Also Zola's microbial environment is lethal to non-immunized off worlders so there are a few humans living there.
