    Interesting thing I learned on Macross 30 just now. The Protoculture on Ouroboros had a cure for Vajra Fold Bacterium which was present on a database. Water from an oasis, which has a ruin nearby, can cure V-type infected persons. In the Brisingr cluster water from Protoculture ruins is one part of the chemical that makes Fold Bacteria grow in person thus the Var syndrome combined with Windermere apples. Thus we have figured out why those with Fold Bacterium are not dying like in Frontier. Galactic Whales also have bacteria from their bodies which are deadly for non-immunized offworlders on Zola. However hot spring water from their graveyard at Catsnake forest has healing properties.

    The way Roid said Heinz should become the King of the Protoculture its like a Succession War in Battletech for the position of First Lord of the Star League. The Protoculture Stellar Republic centralized governance of too many star systems led its downfall. The NUN taking note that centralized government on a galactic scale would not work went with the decentralized route granting independence to fleets and planets. Lactence didn't like that development staging a coup and was put down. It's Zentradi element remnant Fasces is a bit more fanatic. Them believing Earth is the second coming of the Protoculture and this whole independence thing as heresy. Richard Bilrer owner of one of the largest transport companies and SMS want to unite the Children of the Protoculture in trade and comunication with Fold Quartz. Windermere has this existential crisis finding out there are other more advanced human races out there and despite being weaker and no runes are longer lived. They are trying to make themselves feel important... Too much. The only possible Protoculture who is likely 500,000 years old is Mina Forte and she is an idol way over at Ouroboros. She has amnesia. Nobody is asking her opinion.

    It's likely to be the biggest potential market in the galaxy. No wonder Kaos doesn't want it enslaved. A Zentradi main fleet is composed of 7.5 billion people but having no idea of trade or capitalism nobody can sell stuff to them. Yeah Miclone races are the minority in the galaxy.

    Aerial Knight side story manga. Keith was already estranged from his parents at 10 years old. Giving up the prince title as to not have a succession trouble with the just born half brother. Heinz's mother gave birth to him when she already has face lines meaning she was nearing the end of her life.

    Dude 8 billion people. Cause unlike Earthers the native races weren't bombed to the stone age. Given those numbers it is fortuitous Earth uplifted them decades earlier. Out of the known Sub-Protoculture races only Zolans reached 20th century level tech prior to first contact. And they aren't in the cluster.

    I expect some betrayal from Epsilon but joining forces making Kingdom of Wind good guys? Not really. They are really hammering it to us Gramia and Keith are not good guys going full imperial Japan. I'm guessing by midpoint Windermere's dream of imperialism broken by NUNS and Chaos protecting the unoccupied ruins. Next what would happen is planet hoping Walkure breaking their control of ruins liberating world after world. Final conflict would be on the skies of Windermere itself. I'm expecting Roid to defect for Heinz sake as it is becoming apparent Gramia doesn't care about him and wants wanton slaughter. Heinz is realizing Windermere could end up burning like in Freyja's vision. And perhaps an alternative to their warlike ways from Mikumo's vision.

    Keith and Heinz have different mothers. Keith is a bastard literally. Both mothers died naturally before the war due to Windermerean lifespan.

    We are only at midpoint. Remember 26 episodes. If the battle comes to Ragna my guess it would be Midway for Windermere and the rest would be freeing the worlds occupied by Windermere. Lady M is yet to be introduced.

    Interesting fact. The Brisingr globular cluster has 8 billion inhabitants. Gramia intends to enslave them all and genocide the Earthers. Most of those are likely Voldoran, Ragnan and Windermerean but he intends to kill all those who oppose him. Gramia is pretty much the instigator of the independence war and this war. Why? He is driven by pride and a lust for misplaced vengeance. He is doing an immediate attack as he doesn't trust Heinz wont be swayed by Walkure. He is aware of Earther's feats of pacifying the Zentradi , Protodevlin and Vajra. Roid believes Windermereans are the true successors of the Protoculture and Heinz is to be the King of all Protoculture races. Arrogance on his part. Keith gives him a flaw in his reasoning as Winderereans were given a short life. Roid please if there is to be a king of the Protoculture due to being a wind singer it should go to Basara. All races in the galaxy at the moment are Sub-Protoculture if the Protoculture found out all the crap your race is doing they'd send the Bird Human to wipe you out. Oh the only known possible Protoculture around is an idol named Mina Forte and she has mostly amnesia. Given the gravity of the threat Earth couldn't treat this as a local problem anymore as 8 billion people are at risk. Earthers are still recovering their population numbers. The only ones with those numbers are Zentradi main fleets. Al Shahal has at least 40 counted ships in orbit. Windermere fleet don't have those numbers going by defold signatures but make up for it with the Sigur Valens. An ancient Protoculture warship. Given the unknown quantity I'm not sure a Battle class or Macross Quarters are enough. Something like a Varauta Fleet Flagship Carrier with 8 Macros cannons and super sized Reaction warheads. Oh the Aerail Knights had to retreat last episode as not only did Messer damage their units he also wrecked Keith's Sv-262Hs Energy Conversion Armor.

    As for the Aerial Knights it is because they are glory seeking knights. They haven't matured really. Before the Terrans came the Aerial Knights took pride in being masters of the sky riding flying beasts if we are to go by this. edit: Bit of correction. Thanks to karice67 of Animesuki. The Roots of the Aerial Knights In the past, Windermere's Aerial Knights were a chivalric/military order that rode on large animal mounts and used gliders akin to wingsuits to leap from hill/mountain tops to siege castles and other strongholds. They were known as the 'Wind Riding' Knights. 40 years ago, they obtained fighter technology from the NUN government, and thus became an elite air force instead. (Kawamori)

    Going by SDF Macross episode 27 and Macross Frontier final episode they cut through bulkheads like butter.

    Kaname was resonating with Messer and she felt Messer's death. The only other person who has felt such was Ranka with the Vajra. However Messer is a human not an alien intelligence. I can imagine it like in Pacific Rim when your drift compatible partner dies.
