  1. As Wolf-x said, it is uncertain what you are referring to. In ep. 15 Grace stated: "They don't even know that we led the Vajra to that fleet." Vajra attacked Frontier because of Grace, and it seems they kept attacking also because they found Ranka. They were never ill-bent on destroying all humans, although they were attracted by OT engines and fold comunication. (in ep. 7 Luca was captured exactly because he was using fold comunication with his ghosts) FV
  2. In Miyazaki's Nausicaa there was a tactic like that, they used an Ohmu's child FV
  3. By the way, when Luca utilized the Judah System, on screen it was flashed "AUTNOMY" FV
  4. Died in episode 14. But, although not shown, I think each Vajra battleship could have some type of queen inside. He probably thought they were going to be saved by Minmay again, for some indiscernible reason Because at the time Ranka was still in Frontier. I told you, develoments happen. FV
  5. This is from Brera's point of view, which is rather limited. He heard Ranka singing and then saw the attack. Or it could be that Vajra came to "rescue" Ranka when they identified her positively as the most similar to them, and this happened when Ranka sang for the first time. Actually, now that I've seen ep. 25, this seems the most probable case. FV
  6. Days ago I wondered what was the attractiveness of anime. The answer I came up with was that anime are both simple and complex at the same time. Easy to get in, yet plenty of things to find in them. There is no anime I can think of as a complicated one, not even Evangelion (which was simply "unanswerful"); you just need to accustom yourself to technobabble. FV
  7. Each Macross brings new type of enemies, besides now common enemy Valks. Another staple is that they are related to the Protoculture somehow (excluding Plus). I can't really think of anything FV
  8. Because of that, Michael in ep. 7 sniped not only the head but also other parts of the body. There was a blogger that commented that he was "wasting ammo like a noob" Anyway, it would have been perfect if Klan in episode 21 used the rifle retrieved in ep. 4. Maybe authors remembered it but opted for a mecha musume FV
  9. In ep. 24 she stated: "The protocol we could never parse, even after intercepting communication...". This implies she did try to do it for a long time. FV
  10. It's the Western way to understand it Vajra think with the gut, not with the mind FV
  11. Vajra have feelings, too. There is already a queen. The Little Queen was needed only to control them. FV
  12. Probably it isn't. IIRC that news came out with a fake spoiler. Aquarion as a TV series was high-budget, although the use of CG in a TV series was experimental at the time for Kawamori. Nevertheless, it did have the "OVA quality in the first episodes" look. The "movie" (OVAs, more precisely) looked even better, although you have to take in account the priorities: 1) CG 2) scenery 3) characters. As you can see, it's not different from Frontier, hoping Frontier was good enough for you. FV
  13. After viewing it a second time, I understood the real purpose of the medley of songs. When Quarter attacked, it was Infinity as in ep. 7. When Also rescued Ranka, it was similar to a scene in ep. 27 of SDF, so they used Watashi No Kare Wa Pilot. And so on. Each song describes perfectly the moment it was used on, even when there were two songs at the same time. This is truely a brilliant direction, no wonder the man in charge of the episode was Kawamori himself. FV
  14. The same way we hear it in the final episode, I suppose. I discussed this with Wolf-x: They have Vajra in glass containers, maybe she performed autopsies. Anyway, I don't know what kind of story you would like to get from this thing. Maybe an episode where Ranshe is doing things that could have get her infected but by miraculous chance they don't, until the last minute when she cut her finger while cooking, and we get humanized Vajra bacteria high-fiving each other It's like asking where the sun went when it's night Things happen even when you don't see them. The same is true even for other questions. What happened to the city section of Macross Galaxy? The same thing that happened to the planet Tatooine. She was experimenting on parsing their language. It seems the first thing she was able to say was something like "attack this place" or "your mother sucks my Macross Cannon" FV
  15. MOST. EPIC. EPISODE. EVER. Definitively liked it. Felt like the only rushed part was when they arrested Leon, Battle Galaxy and the Queen were there from the start of the episode. I also liked how they put every song from the series, and how they slapped shippers in the face ARIGATOU, KAWAMORI! This episode had a lot of hype, but it still managed to pull it off. It looks like they used half of the budget of the series in there. There is a reference to hara in how Vajra works: In Chinese and Japanese tradition, it is considered the physical center of gravity for the human body and by extension the seat of one's internal energy (qi). A master of calligraphy, swordsmanship, tea ceremony, martial arts or comparable disciplines is held in the Japanese tradition to be "acting from the hara". Acting from the belly is synonymous of spontaneity. About Cinderella's Horn, it looks like it's what Sheryl was doing. We saw in a previous episode a technician preparing the bridge for that, the same bridge where Sheryl performed. Battle Galaxy couldn't be found with radar? Didn't you know they have Active Stealth in Macross? And Galaxy is leading in hi-tech. FV
  16. Frankly, I think a war anime long enough (thus having a large cast) should have at least a main character dying to symbolize the casualties of war. FV
  17. And here is my final supposition: some people won't be happy about the ending Someone asked for too much things to happen, someone else asked for things not to happen. Well, I got what I was asking (Ranka VS Sheryl and Macross Battle Royal), I just hope it will be one hell of a ride FV
  18. Were you using a metaphor or is it a case of bad subs? Wilder asked if the word that described Sheryl's request was "kyoumi" (interest), to which Sheryl replied it was "iji" (obstinacy/disposition/spirit/willpower. Basically, something that's stronger than interest). FV
  19. I expect it to be a typo. If it's not, I will be pleasantly surprised FV
  20. The one on the right looks like a Valcion R (robot from Super Robot Wars), but maybe is a character from some anime. They should be saying something like this (self-taught here): "If you are an amazoness too, drop such hindering bosom" "I am not an amazoness! I am a Zentradi!" (Amazonesses cut one of their breast because it obstructed the bow's string) FV
  21. It seems to be more than that. The central node can observe the thoughts of all humanity. It's not excluded that, since implants are forced on people, they have a secretly built-in slave mode. Another innovation is that a consciousness can be downloaded in another body, thus making humans virtually immortal. This would spread the diffusion of cyborg bodies. Even the Protoculture didn't go that far. It must be mentioned that he made a name in the transport business, so he would also have an economic gain Aside from this though there seems to be something more. From the way things are going, I wouldn't be surprised if . By the way Kronnang Dunn, the avatar that suited you best so far was the guy from the Macross Zero commercial FV
  22. That's still an unfair comparison. Beating a VF-27 with a VF-171EX would be like beating a VF-22 with a VF-11. Let's have some thrust to weight ratio (courtesy of Mr. March) to compare: VF-11C Thunderbolt (empty) = 6.33 Fz-109A Elgerzorene (empty) = 8.4 Fz-109F Elgerzorene (empty) = 8.33 VF-17S Nightmare (empty) = 10.04 (the VF-171EX should be a bit better than this) VF-27 (empty) = 46.48 FV
