Hey wait - you're freaking right about these Wave figs - they can't be 1/12th? That would be Yamato size! Hang on a sec - the box is marked 1/12, never looked before at the scale, it didn't occur to me that it didn't make sense. Maybe they're more like 1/8th?? Here's a ratty cel phone pic to compare Wave with Yamato Cuvie...

They're both good but there are some differences. The orange outfit really goes great with the Brutish - and that's the suit she wore in the show while she piloted it. Must have. The purple version is called the 'space' version, it also includes the extra Chirico pieces but also a extra space oxygen pack. She wore this suit in many space scenes, piloting this scopedog with green face plate and round mover (below). I bought my purple Fyana on Yahoo Japan for 1 yen! Wish I could find this Scopedog for that price to go with her!

NO - 1/12. Thy are amazing, and can be found here on YahooJapan for a great price - the buyer will not be disappointed. I have never taken mine out of the box, maybe soon and I'll take some pics... http://www.rinkya.com/new/en/redirect?url=http://page9.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/k139840370

JENIUS - When you say V1 Scopedog - you mean without the Turbo Legs? Aren't those full of problems - like the inability to stand up well? Are you aware there is a Fyana Brutish version and a Fyana Space version purple? Get the regular orangish version. The parachute pack is cool - but very heavy. Add the Wave 1/12 figure set to your list - THEY ARE STUNNING and there is an affordable set on Yahoo Japan right now - get them, pic below. Have watched the DMZ stuff - heard the SDs are great but those micromen figs look awful to me. Keep me posted when you make a purchase. Are you going to start a Votoms section on Anymoon?? Might as well add a Patlabor section too - you and me should take the plunge on a Yamato Ingram soon as affordably possible... Oh - and the Fyana comes with the improvements to Chirico - new head sculpt and torso seen here...

JENIUS - Here's a Brutish Dog on evilBay starting at $99 - that is a good price, pick it up if you can... http://www.ebay.com/itm/Yamato-ATM-09-GC-1-12-Brutishdog-Armored-Trooper-Votoms-Scopedog-/250893075854?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3a6a64858e#ht_500wt_898 The metal claw hinge on my Brutish is LOOSE - does anyone know if I can just pry off the outer 2 fork-thing and put some clear nail polish on there? I did not want to PRY anything until I asked...

VERY GLAD to have gotten into the Yamato Votoms LATE, and accidentally avoiding the mistake ridden early releases. After sorting out the various scopedogs this is the one I got for a decent price on Yahoo Japan Auctions; Last Red Shoulder. It did not come with a red shoulder piece (go figure) and I wanted one so I got this accessory set as well. Wish the red shoulder would have been a brighter red (seen in that pic above) - yes I know I can paint it though. The Brutish Dog and Fyana fig are also some of my favorite collectables...

A 1/32 Hovertank is sure interesting. I would be tempted but I'm not certain Cap would get enough orders to make it affordable. Now - I'm not sure, but I would think you could definitely 'pay through the nose' and he would make you a one of a kind. Or Neptune Survey might be able to sell it as a limited run on that modeling website - don't give up on your dream. Make it happen! I started an illustration of the Hovertank years ago - never finished it...

These 1/12 accessories are Wonderfest exclusives right? Is there anyway to get them - other than scouring Yahoo Japan auctions??

Sure would be a sight to see. The whole thing together would be about as big as a suitcase. I still vote for this next though...

No line-art to post, but I did get my Hanken cel back from the framers. Looks awesome, although I cannot seem to get a good shot of it in the frame without all the reflections...

I looked at Bandai quite a bit before buying but thought it was a little too small, did not like the chest piece that fit when attaching the flyer and the face details were too 'scrunched' up, for lack of a better word. The facial expression of the MaxFactory won me over, and I liked the look of the stand and the accessories better. Oooo and the box art was much cooler, and came with a handle! But I do not yet have a Bandai in my hands to compare, so that's what makes these debates fun sometimes...

1. Yamato VF-1 V2 - (show here as GBP with missile launch effect) PROS: Not V1, Not 1/48th with 'chicken hands' - just the right size, superb fit and finish, clamps together tight as a mermaids brazier CONS: Early broken shoulders, should have done everything in light gray and skipped the TV white CONCLUSION: Masterpiece - probably the best we'll see of the VF-1 in our time (unless there is a V3 further refining, but that seems doubtful) 2. Wave W.H.A.M. Tetsukyojin from Panzer World Galient OVA 'Crest of Iron' PROS: Just the right size, superb fit and MATT finish, makes every pose you can dream up and some you can not, oozes perfection CONS: None, except maybe price, cannot find one for less than around $300 (has somewhat unfair advantage of not being transformable, therefore no design trade-offs) CONCLUSION: Masterpiece - probably the best we'll see in our time 3. Beagle Mospeada Ride-Armor PROS: Just the right size, superb fit and finish, AN ENGINEERING MARVEL, great stand, awesome accessories, Robotech and original Mospeada models to choose from CONS: Do you have an hour to changes modes? Screw hole in neck for a $200 piece? Fuke and Yellow? - Awww, c'mon... heartbreak CONCLUSION: Masterpiece - probably the best we'll see in our time 4. Max Factory Dragonar-1 PROS: Right size, ultimate stand, more accessories than you'd ever expect, ignored real show line art and did the Sculpt; Opening Silhouette, white gloves included? n i c e CONS: Some small parts too darn fiddlley! - and they eject off the figure without warning! Clear nail polish needed, paint and finsh good but lacking a bit. Flyer wings have difficulty staying deployed (up) CONCLUSION: CLOSE to Masterpiece, but not - if Yamato put the attention to this that they did on the VF-1 V2 it would leapfrog this version

So you're saying its subbed? OK - gotcha...
-
Yep, Just did - I see links for download but they do not mention whether they're subbed yet or not. Have the whole series and OVA unsubbed, so I fear taking forever to download only to find out its what I already have. Will try them unless someone here has a direct OVA "I just subbed this here Galient OVA" link...
-
Do you have a link or something to X-Nebula? Or should I just watch here on MW? The Galient OVA might be dull, however I like its dark feel and the designs. The universe and the robot designs need to live on past just one OVA!! Suppose that could be said of many of the old releases. Heck - I love the Dangaioh design and animation, but honestly the dialogue is nearly unwatchable...
-
Panzer World Galient OVA - this should be remade into an updated series. Has some of the best mech designs. The Panzer World TV series has some interesting parts / concepts but is really just so-so. I have a copy of the OVA but cannot find a subtitled version!
-
LOTTSA LOVE for Dangaioh! Maybe my favorite mecha design. The plot / script were AWFUL, but the animation, designs and even soundtrack were awesome (insert Iczer 1 here too) I'm still hoping to get a SHE Dangaioh someday... ( p.s. - isn't it 'psychic wave' ?? )

Can someone clarify what a 'speculators and hoarders' are? If you mean a person who buys 10 thinking they can sell them later and make a profit - what would be wrong with that? I can't afford to, but I would think 7 out of 10 times you'd get burned and 'speculate' wrong anyway, and lose money. But if I could have bought 5 Stick Beagles and sold 4 later I would have - maybe that's bad in some way, that's why I'm asking...

Someone PM me if they see the Regult go down anymore! Hoping for 30% off, but I know that might mean missing it entirely...
