nobody else modded the pin to prevent the hinge from cracking all the way though... ha... i also think the sloped part of the hinge contributes to the problem... less plastic, less area to take the stress... also noticed that there are supposed to be detents for the wings but it doesn't work coz they didn't make it too well...

kidding... i think it's just harder to resist the temptation (if it were me) there in hk where everything is easily accessible and cheaper + no shipping and tax... if a store who sells Yamatos there will bring in those helmets, it'll probably cost a li'l below $400... as for the SDF-1, i'm still on the fence myself coz of the probable price tag... doesn't really matter to me if it's DYRL or TV ver.

yeah me too... plan to get the re-issue F and the G in a couple of months... particularly interested in how many have the groin connector problem, as i will probably display them in b-mode most of the time... thanks...

but i remember Graham saying that Yamato will not be making a 1/60 VF-4... not sure but i think it was in the VF100's thread... maybe the 1/200 is all we're going to get...

that's what you say now... ...i do have to admit that these look uber cool... if i were really really impulsive, i would probably find the $$$ to get one of these... it would also probably fit my head, but the thing is, for a display piece i'd rather get the 1/2000 SDF-1 since it transforms and the helmet obviously doesn't (doh!)... i also don't have a bike or whatever the hell it is you would need a helmet for... i could probably wear it while browsing through MW, lol ...

i like the blue one... unfortunately i cannot afford an effin' $400++ display piece that i will never ever wear...

Holy week holiday here in the PI and nothing to do... tiptoe pose... powering up... who da hell do you think i am!?!

this fooling around pose actually got me to thinking i could pull off some dynamic poses by "tiptoeing" one of its feet... mine's the dec. re-issue and it's about 90% the tightness of the 1/60 v.2s... the only thing that got a little loose are the metal ball joint connection for the thigh/leg assembly, w/c can be easily remedied... hope it does and you won't sell off your collection... you wouldn't be Vegas Valkyrie w/out your valks...

yeah... for the fun of it and absolute gorgeousness, the cost is justified imo. but it is damn addictive, i must say... but he did say 15 years ago... unless you're in your forties, most of us here were still in college and living w/ our parents back then... and girls were top priority back then .

+1 on the action figs... after seeing pics of the banpresto Klan, i want an action fig Klan... and Misa too!

hope you get the new re-issue VF-0S... it's so much tighter than the old one... be glad that there are alot of macross stuff to choose from... and 15 years ago most of us didn't have enough of our own $$$ yet to buy these ridiculously expensive (but hella-fun) toys...

cool! ... i'm not really into SD figures/models but those SD scans/art are pretty damn cool... oddly enough, the regult, Q's, Glaug and other enemy mechs look nice in SD form...

there was an engdub torrent of the Classic Mazinger Z eps 1-92 a while back... although there are spelling errors like Dr. Hill (Hell), Baron Asla (Ashura) etc., the translation still makes sense...

poor 1/72 VF-11Bs... enjoying its last days on display...
