So, by my estimation we would normally be coming up on Vol. 009 soon, but with the recent developments I assume there will be no Vol. 009. Is my assumption correct? Vol. 008 is the last Macross ACE?

So, I wonder if things are on hold until the new magazine gets published, or are we going to see Ace Vol. 009 this summer?

I have no idea what you are referring to. The only variants I know of are Amano's RX trainer, Sizzler White, and Sizzler Silver. Of the variants I'm missing Sizzler Silver. I'm hoping to finally complete this set.

Sorry for creating confusion. I guess it wasn't a re-release after all. Perhaps a bunch were found in a warehouse and listed for sale. At the time I posted the link the item had the green "in stock" dot, so I assumed there were plenty. I would have expected to see the yellow "low stock" dot if quantities were low. Also, there was a "limit 1 per customer" note when it was in my shopping cart. I was speculating with my brother that perhaps the recent earthquake shuffled things around and were discovered somehow. I noticed the newer 1.5 set is also listed at 15% off.

All Sidious is trying to do is keep the balance of power at a stalemate until he can get Anakin to join the dark side. That must have been his goal from the first time he knew of Anakin's existence. The Sepretists don't need many victories any more than the Republic does. Killing many clones will not hurt the Jedi Order. It will only hurt Sidious once he gains complete power. The only reason Sidious created the Separatist movement was to have a reason to create a clone army that he can control himself. He deosn't want a lot of Sepretist victories. His main problem has always been that he needs to wipe out the Jedi in order to gain power. Jedi are hard to kill when they are on guard during a battle. It's best done in one fell swoop by surprise thus the reason for Order 66. The droid army are easy kills for Jedi and Sidious knows he can't wipe out Jedi with droids. At the same time he needs a valid reason to order the clones to kill Jedi. The transfer of power is always a tricky situation and he needed the events of the Jedi going after him to really pull it off. Killing the the Separatist leaders is always something that would be easy for him to do once the Jedi are out of the way. Such as the events in Ep. III. BTW, don't forget all the Jedi that were killed on Geonosis. That was a pretty decent body count if you ask me. Perhaps what you mean is that it would be cool to see more battles and more of the trails and tribulations of war. Maybe the Separatists win a major battle, kill some Jedi one time, and the next time the Jedi wins a big battle destroying lots of Separatist forces. Kind of like, oh I don't know, the 1st Clone Wars cartoon that came on Cartoon Network. That was pretty cool and I wish this latest series would go more along that route.

Maybe the technology won't clone mediclorians? I remember in the 1st episode with Yoda on the Toydarian planet he mentions that even though they are clones they are all unique in the force.

I gave the BMF as a gift one X-mas and that was pretty big. This past X-mas I gave the AT-AT to my daughter and you should have seen the look on my wife's face. LOL! Boy, was she pisssssed! That's it for big Star Wars toys. Oh well, those were the 2 biggest "holy grail" Star Wars toys to get IMO.

After reading that list, I would have to say not really. I would have said Kaneda's bike, but I guess it already lost out to SDF-1 in it's category class.

In fact, it's the only thing unless Bandai does a V100 version of the VF-4.

I would sit tight. The same thing happened to me with the Blade Runner Spinner toy and Blu-ray. It was in stock and went quickly into backordered status. If you pre-ordered then you got your order in early, so I see no reason why you won't get a shipping notice. Have patience my friend. But, if you think there may be a problem with the way you paid for it, then it would be good to inquire now rather than later. Edit: Yikes! I see it's been "discontinued" at hlj.com. I hope you got it after all. See I'm confused. Is it worth it or not? I liked the first two books, but these conflicting comments make me wonder. Edit: Aw, screw it! I just ordered it. Ditto, it's been a long time since I've watched the TV series. I can't remember if it's shown in the series. My first memory of figuring it out was when watching DYRL and/or reading an entertainment bible.
