  1. Yes the tractor falling off the cliff opened up the other side, so they had to take immediate action. But, they were pretty much already set up to do it the next day. I feel it would have been better to burn them all. I'm sure they could find flammable chemicals and not have to waste gasoline.
  2. To hell with it, I'm keeping my pre-order. I'll go down with the ship.
  3. I'm starting to wish they never even started this project. I'm hoping Bandai and/or Arcadia don't see low sales as an indicator that this is not a good idea for a toy.

Sweet! Another restock. I'm liking the availability of this. Gives me hope to get the VF-1S and 1 or 2 more Regults. Also gives me hope that I will be able to pick up future releases. Like others, I'm all in for this line. Hope to see even more enemy releases.
  5. I really want a VF-2SS toy, but the pics really make me second guess and want to cancel my pre-order. I'm already assuming this will not sell as well as they hope, especailly given the price, and plans for an SAP version will be canceled. I'd feel really bad if I pay full price and later it gets discounted at HLJ. I'm not even that much of a stickler for details. I'm usually fine with minor design flaws, but I can't fathom that the toy designers are looking at this thing and think that this is an acceptable toy for the price they want to charge. They should seriously just raise the price to Arcadia levels and just redesign it. That's assuming it would be vastly improved at a higher price.
  6. I feel like I just got punched in the gut after getting excited to see a link to new pics and then actually seeing the pics.
  7. If you missed it the first time I'd say you are making the right call. I'd personally rather have 1 really awesome and arguably a grail collector piece vs. many smaller items even though they are really cool.

This is encouraging. I hope the rest of the line has similar availability.

I seriously thought you were joking. BTW, the valkyrie pilots don't sit in the head in battroid mode. LOL!
  11. I think it comes with black stickers that cover the entire side and skull stickers. It has both. I'd have to double check, but I think that is correct.
  12. What's all this about no longer rare and easily attainable. I think pre-order window was pretty long the first time, but once pre-orders were closed it was hard to get. I recall some pre-orders didn't get filled by HLJ. At least thats what happened to my brother. I don't know if there was any stock left when it actually released either. Maybe someone can weigh in on that.If anyone missed it the first time I would err on the side of caution and don't assume you will be able to get online and order it whenever you finally decide to pull the trigger. It may not be available if you hesitate to long.
  13. I'm jealous you got to see it in theaters. I'd watch anything Macross in a theater multiple times.

Thanks. Finally got a pre-order. Now, hopefully, I can get 1 or 2 more on release day, but at least the pressure is off.I do plan to collect the entire line. I missed the VF-1S pre-order. Hope I can get 1 on release day. I narrowly missed my chance on the VF-1J, but I was able to get one when it was released. It's been a little bit of a struggle to stay on top of things. I can't camp out at all hours of the night. I guess the best I can do is check right before I go to sleep and again first thing in the morning.

You'd think they would have custom cloned small pilots to man any kind of mechanized weapon and only make large clones as grunt infantry. I mean smaller beings take up less space and require less life support so you could cram in a bigger power source or increase payload and weaponry. On a different note, my order from CDJ just shipped. Can't wait! I'll have to bust out my Toynami Regult and older VF100's until they release more H-MR's

Well, they don't call it "Hi-Metal" cause it's wacked out on goofballs.

I see. So, on release day itself it shouldn't be a problem getting an order in. But, they tend sell out fairly quickly. Like in a day, but not within minutes. Yeah, my problem is I'm not keeping up to date with collecting like I used to. I'll just need to set my calender to remind me. Thanks for the advice.
  18. I know, MH Toyshop still has it for Oct. 31st. Should I be worried? It is a few bucks cheaper and I can only assume domestic shipping. Aren't they in LA?

Yeah, I was just thinking "I wonder if it's been released finally". Since I missed any pre-order my next plan was to wait for release and see if I can snag one. Today I see it's discontinued on HLJ and freaked out. Luckily, I just ordered one from CDJ. Whew! And you guys said not to worry about it. They'll be plenty come release time I recall being said. Edit: I think I might have ordered the last one from CDJ. Right after my order went through I see that it's Out of Print. That was a close one.
  20. A vf-1j makes sense. The way I figure it they may have decided to run another vf-1j toy if they were already set up to do the vf-1j armored that was just released.

You're probably right. I just keep thinking about the vf-4 and how it sold out, but I know that was a different situation/company.

The price is a bitter pill to swallow, but I'm just paranoid that it'll be sold out everywhere come release time.I've been kind of out of the collecting game, but this is totally up my alley. I should pay closer attention and stay current on it. I really want to get one of each type, so I felt compelled to go ahead and get it at a higher price. I figure it's still better than going to ebay.

Yeah, I just bit the bullet and ordered it from a US anime shop with a mark up. At least my shipping cost will be lower so that offsets the mark up a little. This was the lowest price I can find that was still taking pre-orders. Hopefully there won't be issues. I've never dealt with them before. Anybody have any experience with them feel free to chime in. www.imageanime.com
  24. Just wanted to follow up. I checked all my discs, and they seem perfectly fine. No cracks. In fact I can see that these particular cases don't really put any stress on the hub once it's locked in. There is plenty of play between the hub snaps and the disc. I think the only time it stresses is when you actually have to push down on the hub to release it. I rarely get into these to watch it. In any case I think I'll just rip them to my hard drive for view pleasure anytime I want.
