  1. You make your own bed... But my only advice would be to save yourself any further headache and just send it back. You think he actually has them and just forgot to send them? With his reputation?
  2. How do you know it would have been "to scale?" My understanding has always been that there is no official size of an eva (hence no scale on any of the products). Sure bandai MG are usually 1/100 for Gundam stuff, but their HG is always 1/144...unless you are talking about a show other than Gundam (like Patlabor or Dunbine), which are very different in scale. The Eva show itself is anything but consistant with the sizes. I'm just curious to know if you have an official size of an eva, or a product with an accurate scale. Oh, and back on topic, I do have the SOC Eva-02. It kicks ass (wish it wasn't metallic however). It also has a bit of a loose "chin," which is annoying. All said, it is a good figure (maybe not worth that much money, but what collectables are [besides McFarlane Toys]?)
  3. Ok, it isn't modern, but I have always had a soft spot in my heart for the lovely He-111, and it consistantly takes back seat to the ubiquitous Ju-88. I'd like to see statistics on tonage of bombs dropped, and numbers used as bombers (not zerstorer, or nightfighter). Every game I've played has a Ju-88 in it, it gets all the press, while the workhorse gets nothing but technical books. I rate the He-111 as most underrated German WWII bomber (in my book).
  4. Why such short shrift for the early days of aviation? Where is WWI, or the "Golden Age?" F2B always seemed underrated to me, as did the Pfalz D.III (but the last mostly because it looks so good ) edit: I ALWAYS spell Platz, Pfaltz, Pfalz wrong...
  5. That explains a lot...I always wondered why the Rick Dias, Galbaldy Beta, Hambrabi, and Quebley were such nasty (in the bad way) designs. Now it all makes sense.
  6. It's a "knight of Gold" from Five Star Stories. If you are interested in buying one, HLJ has some: http://www.hlj.com/scripts/hljpage.cgi?WAVFS-107 That one is affordable, but they have some insane-expensive ones as well.
  7. Where are the Bad Taste Police when you need them...seriously.
  8. What is a P.O.C.? Just curious. I hope it isn't piece of crap, 'cause you can say crap you know...it isn't a bad word. The reason "they" invented POS is to avoid saying a bad word, not because it's catchy. On another note, this is by far the best Legioss/Alpha sculpt I've seen (besides Moscato's). Looks good in Armo-soldier, and looks decent in Armo-fighter as well. Plus it seems very posable. Seems to me a lot of this is just toymani bashing. Not all of it I'm sure, you can't please everybody after all. That said, $80 is way too much for this toy/figure/collectable.
  9. They can stuff the cyclones. All I want is an Alpha/Legioss and a Beta/Tread. Some Invid/Inbit would be nice as superposables... But I wouldn't buy any Cyclones/Ride Armor if they cost a nickel (I know some other mospeada fans will consider that heresy). Never have liked motorcylces though.
  10. 312 is good as I got after about 2 minutes...
  11. I gotta say, I like it. I like it a lot. I wonder if the canopy has something to do with not having enought vertical space in the forward fuselage to fit the retracted head and a decent cockpit. Can't tell from the angles I've seen so far, but it could be a factor... I really hope these go for less than $80. If they went for $40 or so (like they should) I would probably get the whole set. For $80 I'll just pick up one.
  12. Sweet! I have been lamenting the absence of DVD treatment for quite a while. Any news as to when?
  13. Certainly it is supposed to be a variation of a late 30s-WWII Japanese tank. I'm not to well versed in the Japanese tank varients however... edit - Opps, guess I should read what everybody else posted before I reply next time. Looks like you're on the right track...
  14. what part of the site is supposed to impress me? ditto...
  15. I agree, I like the robot mode, the vehicle mode needs work.
  16. This is really sad, are you all so paranoid? Given the gifts he's already recieved (i.e. cheap & innocent), my money is on a crush. You people are WAY to jumpy. Jeezus.
  17. hahaha, you're joking right? you pick this to make your case? no accounting for good taste I guess. As far as the new BSG goes...I never liked the original (at all), so I went into this with an open mind. It wasn't great, but I was expecting a lot worse from the sci-fi network. It had its cheezy elements to be sure, but on the whole I would say it was more entertaining than most of the other stuff on TV at the time (which is really the only reason I saw it...flipping through the channels).
  18. Fav games of this year? GTA3:Vice City AC3: Silent Line Currently Secret Weapons Over Normandy is in my PS2, as I just got it and have yet to beat it. I have yet to make up my mind about it. It's my first "non-serious" flight sim experiance, but it seems fun enough so far. Only complaint so far would be frustrating missions (what ever happened to good old fashioned "fighter sweep," and "intercept" like in Reb Baron, Secret Weapons of the Luftwaffe, Aces of the Pacific, etc.?) and difficultly of controls (banking does not alter the flight path, and the rudder control is pretty awkward). I like the variety of aircraft though, and the slow-mo option lessens the control problem.
  19. Hey wait a minute! Lufy was a way cooler chick than the butch Starbuck could ever be! And she is an actual woman, not a man who became a woman. I never liked Lufy... But anyways...what does it matter than in the earlier show the starbuck character was a man? Who cares? Was Adama Hispanic? The new show (and its characters) should stand on their own. If you don't like the new Starbuck (which I don't) it should be because she is a one-dimensional cliche, not because the character used to be male, that's just dumb.
  20. I'm beginning to think Barph has gotten too busy for this little distraction...Damn! I was hoping for that size comparo... Or the StarLeaf... Or the Bronz-D... Or the Paranoid... Oh well...
  21. Seriously, why are we still discussing. It can't be a Ju-87G because it looks nothing like a BF-110 It can't be a me-410 because its 50mm cannon was never used for tank busting (to my knowledge). It can't be a Ju-88P because I don't think a kit has been made of that one. It can't be a Bf-110 w/ 37mm because that would be way too obvious. Only solution is a Hs-129 with 30mm or 75mm (I lean towards the 75mm because it is the only one big enough to stand out in one's memory).
  22. My bet is a Hs-129 as well, although it doesn't look much like a BF-110 at all.
  23. Where have you read about that JsARCLIGHT? I have done what I feel is fairly significant reading on the subject (limited to the english language unfortunately), and have never come across anything to suggest homosexuality was anymore common among the samurai class than it was anyplace else or anywhere else. Please explain your sources.
