  1. It's been down for a few months now, I was just hoping someone had the pics. Berttt
  2. I went to visit this site and it is down, did anybody happen to save the pics? I know somwonw here is a macross image nutter, maybe they have them? I am after the Imai Gerwalk, Imai VF-1S super valk and Imai 1/72 battroid images. Cheers, Berttt
  3. I have been inspired to restart my booster project after seeing WM in action. He has also asked that I post in here as we complete our parralell projects. So here is my version as of (quite) a few months ago: As you can see my cast is no where near as bad as WM's. More posts in a few days when I make some progress. Berttt
  4. May I ask your valks lack the speedbrake? Nice work by the way, very smooth. Berttt
  5. Wahoo! First non VF-1 Battroid! Don't skimp Hase, theres many more to go yet. CRAP! I just realised that this'll hurt my wallet. Berttt
  6. No worries man. We look forward to your return. Berttt
  7. Here is a link to a topic, amongst it is a pic of where I am up to. http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=15561 Basically: Front fuse done Main fuse and wings done Tail section assembled both legs/engines assembled Booster dry fitted Man I really need to get going and update that thread, the vehicles are almost done, and the Grey valk has decals on it. Berttt Edit: I hate in when I do that
  8. Hey Rob, Think about the SSM option, as you may yet see a bit more return on those kits that you put so much effort into. Thanks again for going to the trouble of getting the Booster porject out there. It and the launch arm will be taking pride of place amongst my kits. I Hope everything works out for you man. Cheers, Brett T
  9. Good work as always WM. I am basically up to the same stage. I found that there needs to be some work to the leading edge of the booster, right on the edge of where is connects to the avionics hump on top of the fuselage. Also have you found that when the booster halves are together, that there is a gap between to the two mating surfaces around the edge? I am trying to work out if it is just my copy of a design feature. I really need to get off my arse and finish the 7+ projects I have on the go right now, some of them are so close to being finished...... Cheers, Berttt
  10. Nice work there LTSO. I have almost finished my debut in resin. GH's little spiderbug. Resin is definitely not for the faint hearted, kudos to you for producing some very good work there bloke. Cheers, Berttt
  11. For the exhausts I highly recomend using WM Cheng's trick of putting in thin strips of styrene in there. Looks great when done. Berttt
  12. Is there much a demand for the Mospeada soldier mode kits? I have a Gakken 1/12 one that I plan on updating. Berttt
  13. There was some pics on the old forums from a bloke that was suing fibre optic to light a Vf-1 Super. He had lights in the wintips, cockpit, those lights on the leading edge of the wings, and red lights in the fast packs. Anyone got those? Berttt
  14. If I remember rightly I had to shave a bit off to get a comfortable fit as well. You can glue both halves with out doing it but it's a bit of a struggle. Berttt
  15. IMHO you could probably avoid the 5" base, the fighters don't fit on it, and the Battroids could do with a bit more room to see whatever image is being displayed. For fighter: since the VF-1 is the smallest of all the valks, 6" would be the minimum, but VF-0's and the Mac Plus valk will need something a little bigger. Personally the thinner profile bases look better than the thick ones, but that's only an opinion. I would probably pick up a couple of bases myself for some of my kits. Keep up thre good work, Berttt
  16. I feel for ya Gundamhead, no one likes to see a project that they worked hard on get the shaft like the Monster has. SMT are nuts if they think people will shell out 250 big ones, when a few weeks ago it was listed as $170, especially given their reliability of late. I think Mikes would be a better buy, considering he'd be about 10 times more reliable, in a larger scale for not a lot more. If I have this straight, you haven't received any payment yet, and SMT claim to still be producing kits? Couldn't you just tell them to call it even, get the masters back and strike a deal with another caster? On the upside you'll always have support from the guys here, I am still working on the Spiderug, but it's nearing completion (yeah right!) and I reckon it's a great little kit. Thanks to you and Jesse for making it available. Cheers from a grateful modeller, Berttt
  17. Feel free to jump in here anytime Gundamhead. Right now I am tossing up weather to 1/100 scale for destroids, and being able to get one of your kits is the lynchpin of my decision making (stay out of it G72, I know your preference ). I'll have to make the "D" soon so it would be good to know what's happening, if that's possible. Personally it doesn't matter to me that SMT put out good work if you can never get your hands on it. I held off ordering one for just this reason, and I really hope the GH can get his masters back and get the kit out there. SSM sounds like a good idea, John and Linda provide great service and the casting is good, I have some of their StarFury resin guns and they are flawless. To all those who feel the title of the thread is misleading; read the thread as a whole, I didn't want to start a new topic to discuss this new arising. LTSO, have you got your decals yet? Cheers, Berttt
  18. For those of you that got one of these well done. I think SMT may be shutting down, or at least only producing certain kits. Here is the thread over at SSM. http://www.starshipmodeler.net/cgi-bin/php...p=393742#393742 I had been waiting to see if SMT were going to be reliable about this one, looks like I may have missed out. Cheers, Berttt

    1/100 VF-1S

LOL I edited my second post.

    1/100 VF-1S

This is really getting off topic, but Imai made no variable 1/100' VF-1's as well http://www.macrossworld.com/macross/models...i/im1302-81.jpg
  22. Berttt

    1/100 VF-1S

Does that size hold true for the non variable 1/100's? I don't like the look of thoe variable kits personally.
