  1. At least you got store credit. I asked for refund or store credit and they just kept on saying that they are having management issue and are working on getting my Fast Pack shipped, but I'm sure they don't have it at all. 9 Months already; too late for any dispute window. Just have to keep on begging them to give me store credit, will NEVER NEVER NEVER buy from NY again.

  4. thanks rdrunner. it was a good feeling of able to complete the transaction without much trouble. Well worth staying up for the late night madness. Good night all!
  5. Whew, got 2 an ami. If i had a bit more patience maybe i could've gotten cheaper price at NY. Oh well better safe than sorry.
  6. thanks orindlt , got it to show up. Now it's just the waiting game.
  7. Please let me know how you can locate the placeholders for hobbysearch and amiami.com, thank you. I searched everywhere but couldn't find those placeholders. thanks.
  8. Ya I love the HI-Metal as well. Just got the 19kai, 19blazer, and the strike 1s. They are a bit overpriced but the scale is perfect. Yamato ones are good and I have several of those but they are just too big and chunky to handle with. Was hoping Bandai will at least complete the line with the 21, sigh...
  9. Hi is the vf19 still available? if so can i see some pictures? thanks.
  10. Wow HLJ discontinued the item already? I feel so lucky as i just placed the order on Thursday 9/18 and i was prepared for the backorder status already. Some how got the payment notice today 9/23 asking me to pay with paypal and of course i did that in a heartbeat. Guess that means i need to build it right away now, awesome!!!
  11. Aside from the reaction of "WTF and FUBAR" i have nothing else to say about this episode as i'm so glad that it will end in a week. It's just too bad as i got attracted by it during season 1 with all the tactics and deceptions and right now everything is just blown out of proportion, sigh...
  12. i guess the earthquake today turns even more people away from LA. I work in Rowland Heights which is quite close to Chino Hill/Diamond Bar area and my whole office was shaking, scary stuff!!! Luckily nobody got hurt. Aside from the traffic/heat/people/earthquake/high gas price/foreclosure/massive layoff/ i think LA is a great place to live in. windcloud
  13. LA is fast pace? i guess only few or none of you have lived in or visited Japan/Hong Kong before. I moved from Hong Kong to LA since 84 and the only thing that bugs me is indeed the traffic. The pace is alright and depends on your preference you can always goto the beach just to chill for a day. The only good place i found macross stuff at affordable price is Frank & Son in the city of Walnut. Little Tokyo has macross stuff too but they are way overpriced. On a side note, Little Tokyo has turned into quite a pleasant place to hang out as they have more restaurants and bars nowadays. At least i felt safe enough to walk on the streets at night over there. Good luck. WindCloud
  14. Ya the classic one is awesome!! I was looking forward for a SOC on that, but somehow bandai did it on the new jeeg, which i think is far less popular than the original one. I would have bought the classic one in a second but this one i have to think about it. windcloud
  15. I don't know about little tokyo being desolated nowadays as i was there about 2 weeks ago and there are tons of new structures and restaurants. I was there on a wednesday night and the street was packed with people and all the parking structures were full. Maybe there was some kind of events going on but it definitely looks different now in the area around office depot and honda plaza. for anime toys ya frank and sons is the place to be for selections and bargain prices. Other than that i just buy online from places like hlj. edwin
  16. Love BF2142, love the titan mode. my screen name is "macross4ever"
  17. Boy his location is like 4 blocks from my house. I guess i'll just email him the form and go there to pickup when the stuff gets here. Is it ok if i just pay $150 cash and go pickup? thanks. windcloud
  18. My wife is cool with all the toys and models i bought. However, the only thing i don't like about it is that my wife refers to my collection as dolls (in chinese). I feel pretty offended everytime she said that. windcloud
  19. Hello all, i was so attracted by the new yamato's megazone 23 toy that i have to watch the dvd to see what it is all about. I went searching and gosh it costs more than $50 to get part 1, 2, 3. Just wondering if any of you who have the dvds want to sell them to me. Looking for the english version only. thank you windcloud
  20. Oh man, some of you guys have such interesting professions that just made me jealous. Well for the past 10 years IT system engineer - name sounds good but basically everybody's whipping boy for any IT or even non-IT problems. Funny that just coz you know computer people think you can fix electrical and mechancial problems. Then moved on to be an IT consultant - pay was good but dam the travelling is just inhumane. Actually didn't think i did much as we had meetings from 9am - 5pm all the time. Then an IT director for a supplier chain management software company. This job was pretty good as i got to tell people to do all the technical works and let me "space out" most of the time. Now i own an online import/distribution company that focus on fashion business. Funny that it was my wife that got me into it as i know zip about fashion. Luckily i have people that know fashion and let me focus on the technical side of thing But my main job is a husband and a dad for my 9 months old daughter. With all these stress i'm glad there is macrossworld that can help me find out more about the story/toys/models and I bought some stuff from here as well. Whew, i'm done with my boring life story. DAm i wish i am a pilot or the restaurant manager that is sick of hanging out with young chicks!!!!
  21. I started collecting models and toys (mainly Gundam and Macross) back in the 80s when i was in early teens back in Hong Kong. Came to the USA for a couple of years and there wasn't anything Gundam, only the so call "Robotech". So i began to collect Transformer and GI Joe instead. In the late 80's and early 90's there wasn't anything and I was occupied by college and craps. It was not until the mid-late 90's when Internet starts to become mainstream that i was able to locate several Gundam sites. I was amazed by the quality of models and toys so i decided to go back in Hong Kong in 1997 to look for some toys and models. Man was i amazed!!! I can't believe the quality of toys and models have improved so much so i got addicted by this hobby. There wasn't anything as spectacular back in my days so whenever i got the chance i just buy, buy, and buy. It was like an addiction but heck i went with it anyway. Right now i got a full room of toys and models (again mainly Gundams and Macross) and even if i don't work and go full time to make models it will take me years to finish what i have. It's just like alcohol; you know it's wrong to drink it but you just can't help it.
