  1. Maia Sterling's Shadow Fighter? IIRC I paid $55 for my Scott Bernard from EB Games. Are they really asking $140 for the reprints?
  2. Seriously. The only light Novel series I'm reading on kindle is Book Girl and that's only because I started late and couldn't find some of the paperbacks. I'm tired of eBooks being the same price as the physical ones. They should be a few bucks cheaper. It's especially annoying when a book on kindle is as much as the Hard Cover edition. I had that problem with Tiger and Del by Jennifer Roberson. Not only was the newest novel the same as digital or physical the digital version of her older novels were actually more expensive for some reason. I have physical print versions of Spice and Wolf, Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? , Accel World and Sword Art Online. I'm still hoping for Official translations of a few series I've been reading by other means as well. I've really gotten back into reading (not just light novels) over the past 2 years.
  3. I'm slow on the uptake so I just noticed this right now... WHY AREN'T PREORDERS UP ALREADY!? Can't wait to add this to my reading list.
  4. That's from one of my buckets. Not my Flag though...
  5. Forgive me if someone posted these already somewhere but I didn't see them when I skimmed the topic. These came with one of the CD singles..
  6. MechAssault is/was fun but it's basically just a 3rd person shooter. It also has an arcade feel so I can understand why it's mostly ignored.
  7. I have some of the newer stuff but can't really get into it. I think it's because I've been spoiled by the better miniatures of other games. Also the Word of Blake stuff is a little weird I'd find it interesting if you could play as some of the support vehicles as well. Some of them have packed quite a punch in previous games and it could certainly add some variety to the game depending on how they're implemented.
  8. That's pretty much what I've seen eluded to over the years. Didn't Scott (from HLJ) do a huge write up about this before? Does anyone have/play the newer catalyst release of Battletech?
  9. I'm kind of confused what all the hubbub in regards to the unseen is about. I could have sworn Catalyst stated they were going to have them all redesigned (by the original artists) anyway? I'm pretty disappointed by F2P online route but it's the status quo these days.
  10. Well I replaced the HD somewhat recently and the problem has persisted. The other controller stuff I've tried and I've also tried synching someone else's to my system with similar results. Ruled out interference at my home too because the problem occurs even when I use the system at my friend's place. My friend and I always joke that I must have a metal plate in my head or something Sony cut corners on the launch systems. Underrated power supplies and cheap Blu-ray players are probably just the tip of the iceberg so maybe we can just stack this up to that.
  11. Input on my official PS3 wireless controllers is frequently delayed. So much so that I have started using unofficial wired (USB) controllers. One of my friends who also has a launch console has experienced this as well but it is not as pronounced on his system.
  12. Both the wireless internet and Bluetooth are slow on my launch model as well. They also both frequently disconnect seemingly at random. It's only anecdotal but it is what is.
  13. I believe the "sweat" is the plasticizers leaching out?
  14. or vanishing deductibles? Either way I have the rumblies only hands can satisfy On the main topic, I can't say such a maneuver by HG is unexpected but I am still somewhat shocked. What took them so long?
  15. Has anyone played the Starship Troopers RTS game? It combined elements of both the LA movie and the book fairly well IMO and if this project can pull off something similar it could be pretty good. Of course it would be great if someone did more Roughnecks but I'm not holding my breath for it.
  16. Now you've got me paranoid. I just handled all of mine a couple weeks ago when I packed them away and they were fine but now I'm going to have this nagging feeling I own a lot of the old Gundam MSiA figures so obviously I've heard about PVC breakdown before but I've never experienced it personally (knocks on wood). On the bright side I made a deal with myself a while ago not to buy anymore PVCs specifically for this reason so I guess this is reinforcement for that.
  17. Like danth I'm in to the castle sets. Been buying them on and off for years and atm I'm just missing the King's Carriage Ambush from the currently available sets. The upcoming Kingdom's Joust set looks to be excellent so I can't wait to get my hands on one. I'd love to be able to pick up some of the other sets like the CREATOR Grand Emporium or the Ninjago stuff for the skeletons but there's just too much. I actually just went to Legoland in Carlsbad last month. Yes, I know it's for children but I enjoyed it anyway The Miniland USA section is pretty amazing even though it's not maintained well.
  18. I've heard certain models of psp or games will work with both cables but have not tried this myself. I want to say the PSP3000 because it doesn't require progressive scan? Also you can always run custom firmware and remotejoy to play on your computer monitor as well.
  19. The older Persona titles have little to do with school simulation. Persona 2 Innocent Sin is being released (ported) for PSP 9/20 and it's the first time it's been officially available in English so you might want to give that a spin. Technically there's also an unofficial port of the JPN PS1 version of Innocent Sin available with an English patch online also.. I'm actually just the opposite of you, I only play the Persona titles. My choice has more to due with time constraints though. Thanks for reminding me of that bullsh*t, I almost forgot about it Not that it really matters though since I usually get the guides to look at the art but I like to read them on the pot sometimes too ya know.
  20. Xenogears is really boring even for a JRPG. Too much scrolling through text dialogue with bland background music being the major problem. Something that wouldn't be a problem these days (with so much audio work) I think. That said it's still has other positive aspects that made it possible for me to chug through it. I've heard pretty good things about this game from several people. Probably going to pick it up myself. If it really plays like Grandia and Lunar I'll probably love it.
