  1. Oh man the white gloves in the video totally remind me of how I handle my valks. I use military/police dress gloves like that myself, can never be too careful Looks great, problem area(s) aside. Looking forward to blue,
  2. It really depends on what you're buying. I'm certainly no expert but my first 1/6th was an original Joe and I was around for the 1/6th resurgence with 21st and really with HT you're paying for the head sculpt (which is hit and miss) as everything else is of questionable quality. I mean I remember HT's old stuff which was actually pretty ugly/bad for the price. I honestly won't even touch the IM stuff (the actual armored characters). They're just like over sized and over priced action figures. There's no kit or anything
  3. Saw this, thought it was mostly mediocre but not bad. The pacing is really bad though. You can definitely see how this movie was influenced by a lot of other (great) movies and those bits are pretty good actually.
  4. I usually lie on my info as well. Can't be too careful with your personal info. I think a better analogy would be if a car manufacturer reflashed you vehicles ECU remotely and removed ABS/horsepower/torque/etc. One day it probably will happen for electronic limitations on speed I'd wager. It seems like no one really cares or has empathy/sympathy about the removal of other OS because they didn't use it personally. If it had been something that personally effected them they'd obviously be outraged but no argument you could muster will change their minds until then.
  5. Yes, and yes. "Sony said in a statement earlier this week that it believes user information including names, addresses, birth dates, email addresses, login names and passwords may have been exposed"
  6. This Hopefully enough people will buy the fire that they do a Blazer because I don't have room for both.
  7. This was my initial reaction too. Call me paranoid but the timing is just too perfect for Sony too cast bad light/blame on Geohot/homebrewers/etc now. I am certainly curious to see if they catch who did it and where they are from. Hopefully it's China or North Korea so the US can drum up some more paranoia
  8. I own the PS2 game "Soukou Kihei Votoms" and I think it's pretty good personally. A few of the levels are kind of irritating especially the ones were you play solely as Chirico on foot but otherwise it's a solid mecha action game even if you're not a huge Votoms fan. There's a lot to unlock so there's replay value too. I couldn't say how it stacks up against other Votoms games though because I haven't played any of the other ones.
  9. Kaiyodo sold some dogs that were somewhat MSiA equivalent way back when. I own a few but they weren't real great though. A bit fragile and somewhat limited articulation but could be had pretty cheap usually counter to what HLJ listings may price them at. http://www.hlj.com/product/KYD51058 http://www.hlj.com/product/KYD51068 Maybe you've already seen these though.
  10. Anyone pick up a Razer Onza? Thoughts? http://www.razerzone.com/minisite/onza
  11. Ironically they didn't break off where the simulated suspension bracket connects to the body. The wheels would individually just pop off from the bracket when it was just sitting in my room on the carpet. It would honestly have made more sense if the whole bracket broke off but either way the result is basically the same. The WHALE is another great example of bad plastics and engineering. The Plastic for the fan assembly on mine has also basically disintegrated from just being old like me All that said they were some great toys for back then.
  12. In my experience the Defiant complex was a huge POS. The concept is great, it's a vehicle and a playset but the execution was very poor. I'm not sure if they didn't know as much about plastics back then or they just didn't care but mine eventually become so brittle it literally started disintegrating from just sitting in my room (the wheels would just "pop" off too). Not to mention that the elevation mechanism never worked right on mine to begin with Of course now a lot of what's left is yellow
  13. ps99024 is mostly right but it really varies on what specific release you're talking about. There can be accessory/colour/material differences between releases. A couple of examples Almost none of the US releases have extra hands The US deluxe release Ez8 is a horrible yellow colour instead of white like it should be (The US Battlescarred version is white though) Most of the US releases for Wing have a version with gold paint in addition to the regular "yellow" version The US figures don't have panel lines but a lot of them have markings/numbering the JPN version don't have (Like the Zaku I for example) The JPN GP01 has an extra beam rifle the US release doesn't have The US and JPN release Mobile Armor/vehicle boxes sometimes come with different Mobile suits. The US Gunperry came with a Ver1 G3 Gundam and the JPN release came with a RGM-79[G]. In general the plastic on the US releases are sometimes of questionable quality in comparison to to the JPN release. It really depends on how particular you are.
  14. "This new provisional rating considers the accidents that occurred at Units 1, 2 and 3 as a single event on INES and uses estimated total release to the atmosphere as a justification. Previously, separate provisional INES Level 5 ratings had been applied for Units 1, 2 and 3."
  15. The HCM Pro had a Zaku with shield mounting abilities that were kind of similar. http://www.hlj.com/product/BAN949931 I have the UC Arms sets which go pretty well with the RDs so I'm totally covered on the 90mm
  16. The spike might come off the other shield. It looks like the shield without the punch spikes has a peghole to mount them too. Might be like the RD Gundam only the initial Zaku II release will come with all the extra goodies and the later ones will be stripped? Here's a few more links to RD Zaku pics ive seen posted around http://img97.imageshack.us/img97/355/91005929.jpg http://img824.imageshack.us/img824/9655/ap20110406045027906.jpg http://img27.imageshack.us/img27/263/ap20110406045039901.jpg http://i56.tinypic.com/24uykd2.png http://img199.imageshack.us/img199/2569/32400459.jpg Here's a pic of the old "ボルジャーノン" they showed off for comparison if anyone is interested http://www.toy-world.com.hk/forum/attachments/month_1002/20100205_9fc986d79c17cff618a0ASgK2eIRXyK1.jpg
  17. I got my RD WDs as well. Been waiting many moons for this although not totally satisfied still pretty awesome.
  18. Seems like NHK has been reporting that the reactors for the most part are contained. #2 is still questionable because they are not sure of the extent of the damage caused by the earlier explosion. I see elevated radiation levels reported even in Tokyo which seems somewhat contradictory. Hopefully impact is negligible. Everybody over there please stay safe.
  19. I certainly hope everything is status quo in a few days Sketchley. I had seen some reports of damage even in Tokyo like some to Disneyland but hopefully when everything is finally assessed thoroughly damage will indeed be minor. I had seen it reported the US military had shipped reactor coolant to Japan? Who knows what's true though.
  20. I've been following this closely since yesterday and it's truly unfortunate to say the least. I could not believe the airport in Sendai was literellay submerged. Hopefully the US military stationed in Japan will finally earn their keep during the relief effort as I'm sure there is many in need now. This must be pretty crushing for HLJ who has not only been hit hard by the economy but now with damaged stock. At least they've said their employees are safe and that's something to be thankful for. I'm supposed to be in Japan in about two weeks not sure how that's going to go now.
  21. Are those real restrictions? I figured those were place holders because it was a demo?
  22. That's basically the impression I walked away with (on the pc version).I've seen the media reviewing it as basically a improved/streamlined version of the original and no offense to anyone that disagrees but from my experience/opinion this certainly is not the case. The game certainly seems like more of a masher now, not that some management and tactics aren't required still. It also seemed somewhat unresponsive or at the very least lacked some feedback for what was going on. For reference I was using a Microsoft habu mouse and a merc stealth keyboard.
  23. The 1/60 V2s aren't as durable as the V1s (I never had a problem with any of mine) even when you get one without cracked shoulders BUT they are way more detailed obviously. The 1/48s in my experience have inferior fit and finish to the 1/60 V2s but have additional features like the radar in the nose cone. Also bear in mind newer 1/60 V2s not only have better shoulders but the newer easier(?) to use crotch system generally.
  24. Yeah and from there transfer the saves to the PSP. FM3 only loads from slot 1 still though and I think the saves are hidden in an overall FM3 save file because I cant seem to see them when I check the memory card under the "saved data utility". You can hit the home button with the game open and transfer saves from the virtual slot 2 to memory card slot 1 if you accidentally have the saves in slot 2. It is pretty awesome to have legit FM3 on PSP finally, salvo away!
  25. Excellent response, thanks very much! Basically all mine are cracked to varying degrees (only one severely) and I am using the ones that came with the correct screws taped to the outside.
