  1. yep, then the IHP perfect transformation conversion kit is the one your looking for, its pricey too. (i like it alot and was hoping to get one, but its $$$$ .... so there's no way i could afford it.)
  2. Last Call for the Destroido Defendarr!! Like the Destroido Tomahawk, I only have one more left.....
  3. @HWR MKII... just let me know when you need them, I've set aside a set for you. Ok, here is the last call as I wasn't expecting one to be available but one more Destroido Tomahawk is available. Info in the first thread, thanks!
  4. ugh, sorry guys..... i wont be able to make it . I hate insurance companies!!!! especially since i was the victim....
  5. Was just curious, i know Walmart and Target tend to have their exclusives..... but whether its iron man, gi joe, star wars, or whatever. I noticed in my area walmart and target seem to coordinate on NOT having the same wave of toys in stock at the same time. If its not outright different, they even seem to purposely put out only a small amount of the same wave of toys to purposely not compete. What pisses me off is that some waves are entirely missed or ignored. In the case of Iron Man 2 figures, the ones at Target are almost entirely different than the ones at Walmart (3 3/4 sized) . I also have not seen the 6" figures as well were these coming out at a later time?
  6. just curious, how tall is this figure from head to toe? they remind me of the old heavy gears figures that i used to play as a miniatures game along time ago.
  7. wow, i remember alot of positives about arii's 1/100 fighter valkyries and how their proportions are spot even by today's standards, but i clearly underestimated how incredible a job they did back then on the sculpt. i'm really surprised the 1/72 line wasn't nearly as good, wonder why that is ? great job on the paint and details linus poon, something to be proud of!
  8. Unless something crazy happens.... I'm sure I can cruise down and meet up in S.F. Count me in!
  9. Were you thinking about the the IHP 1/72 Hasegawa Valkyrie Conversion Kit? IHP 1/72 Hasegawa Valkyrie Conversion Kit if you were thinking of the Bandai/Hasegawa kit bash with swappable parts, i believe that's one of the links in my thread that got stickied.
  10. Well I wouldn't say one person.... I'd like a Sylvie Gina in Flight Uniform with Helmet. Heck, I'd like a high detail 1/48 VF 2SS with armor pack.
  11. yeah i was expecting the same thing.... that and i simply wanted to see a whole bunch of Boba Fett armored goodness running rampant
  12. I was expecting something very similiar to this play out as well.... I always got the impression Obi Wan felt partly responsible for Anakin's fall, like he didn't quiet reach him or was too idealistic and in turn Anakin rebelled feeling a more pragmatic approach to countering the darkside was a better way to go.
  13. thanks for replying scream man, i wasn't trying to comment on whether the movies were any good or a let down but rather what everyone thought was going to happen/flushed out in episodes 1-3 according to limited information like what was on the back of old school star wars action figure backings. for example i was definately expecting Mandalorian clad armored troops fighting jedi.
  14. Was just curious since alot of MWr's are late 20's early 30's what were your impression/expectations around Star Wars prior to the release of episodes 1-3 and the newer material out there? I know its a very broad topic, but I'm going to start with some specific things as I'm very curious if the rest of you were under similiar impressions. And for arguments sake.... leave out the Star Wars books, which is a subject all its own. I'll start with Darth Vader - given his suit of armor I assumed his mechanical form was given shape due to battles he had hunting jedi or even those that may have been rivals. I imagined it as not a pure situation of instant death for a jedi, but the battle prowess of vader, usage of darkside relics, jedi technology, trickery, and even trapping jedi in carbonite or other elaborate means. Maybe even going so far as keeping them alive somewhere for interrogation or for insidious plots potentially against the emperor himself. For me, i was hoping that potential aspect of it was more played up and balanced out. Now for me and some friends this next subject is a big debate and very open ended as we all used to play the Steven Jackson Star Wars roleplaying game. It was a cool time, we all played but not to the point we were oblivious to other healthy normal teenage stuff like girls, movies, sports, laser tag and pulling pranks during Halloween. We all were big fans of Boba Fett and only knew his armor was Mandalorian armor and had something to do with the "clone wars". For me I was thinking good old vader or the emperror cloned some jedi as a means to lure out other jedi in hiding or even had some clone jedi made prior to the fall of the jedi order. I fgured compared to stormtrooper armor, it was light weight but durable enough to lend the advantage of better movement to the wearer allowing them to close quarters for the use of a lightsaber or someone who simply preferred the advantage of dexterity in combat. If this wasn't the case, investing in the illusion of a deadly warrior class with a wide variety of weaponry and tactics could easily be blamed for wreaking system wide havoc. Add in these clones posing as jedi imposters or outright duking things out in the open with real jedi who may be fighting clone versions of themselves would cause just enough confusion to lend them the upper hand in sheer number or cause enough trouble to weaken the ranks of the jedi order through acts of sabotage, confusion, public hatred, and tarnishing the belief jedi are hard to kill. Keep in mind this was prior to episodes to 1-3 and there was little to go on at that time. What I was curious about was what my peers were thinking about this? Got any theories about mandalorian armor back then?
  15. man, glad you guys over there are ok..... but god it must be horrible. my prayers are with you
  16. ironically i was thinking the same thing except i didn't think about the RX-78 Dendrobium......so far i have an older MG RX-78 the one in your picture on the right, a 1/72 Hasegawa Fighter kit, a 1/72 Battroid kit and some plasticard and putty. i'm not in a hurry to begin as i'm starting other projects to build up my confidence level and familiarity with the tools i have. your input is much appreciated leading edge, thanks!
  17. this is great, really like how you added extra detail to the kit.... looking forward to more!
  18. sorry about that FAM56, there was a big delay with the decals then i got sick for the last week and a half. i will ship the Defendarr to you tomorrow as well as any other kits and decals. again, ...this is on me and i'll get it out asap.
  19. Perhaps they'll say the queen alien bursted out of him, even got some mutated genetic properties which is why aliens are so deadly, dropped some eggs and that's why they were waiting for the crew of the Nostromo Not sure if this prequel thing is such a good idea, get some quality story telling and directing as well as some real acting talent and I'll give it a shot. Other than that, I'm hanging onto my money. but i cant wait for that new aliens video game to come out... its suppose to be take place after ALIENS but before Alien 3 . Marines sent in to rescue the soldiers in ALIENS, they land on the ship and guess what happens...
  20. an excellent suggestion.... if there are any more of his work not already stickied please pm me the link and i'll add it to the begining of this thread, thanks!
  21. Just wanted to update the thread and get feedback from you guys....
  22. Saw these figures on ebay and liked how these turned out. The Star Wars line for whatever reason still has quiet a few figures without great poseablility like the republic commando and stormtroopers. Stichfett Custom Republic Commando figures wonder which microman figures were used, i'm guessing there are some resin pieces involved as well?
  23. when redoing the vf-25, perhaps a slight mod on the knee caps would be a good touch to resemble the 2ss and perhaps minor resculpting of the head unit or perhaps ozma's head unit with different head lasers? just a couple of ideas
  24. thanks guys! they will be in the mail by tomorrow : )
  25. This will be a cool project to check out, though you might have better luck with modifying a vf-1 valk than a frontier valk. in my opinion it might be easier to convert a vf-1 valk into a vf-2ss. the frontier vf-25 would probably be better suited to be a metal siren valk conversion (ducks and runs for cover, cause im probably the only one that has grown to like it). Just an opinion though, either way, best of luck on your project keep us updated with pics of your progress!
