Bandai is sustained by your tears. I'm sure Bandai is well aware their decals suck compared to Hasegawa. I'm also certain they don't give a crap. It's "good enough" and that's all Bandai is shooting for. On that note, the most commonly uttered phrase by George Lucas during filming of the Star Wars prequels (according to the actors) was "That's good enough."

Friction and hopes don't count as a real "locking mechanism" and neither does pushing the shoulders and backplate all the way down and making the 25 battroid look like a kid carrying way too many books in his backpack. None of my 25 battroids "flop around" but they don't have any chest lock either. That's like claiming the Yamato YF-19 chest "locks" because of our planet's gravity holding it down.

Having one of my DYRL Skull squadron units with an untinted canopy was intolerable, but I've finally corrected that discrepancy. -
That's not a locking mechanism and the 25 looks stupid with the shoulders pulled down all the way.

Please. It's not like M7 was the first show to put boobs on a mecha. I didn't like the show but I'd totally buy the rest of sound force if Arcadia released them. But, as others have stated, I doubt there's much market for high end toys of those valkyries. I think an eventual HMR version is more likely, if Bandai doesn't pull the plug on it before they reach M7.

Oh please let there be some kind of locking mechanism for the chest. That was one of the biggest drawbacks of the VF-25.

I think it would look alright. The hard part would be getting a clean and visible separation between the green and red parts if you're painting from the back. I painted the grey plastic that sits behind the visor white so it would reflect more light and give a more "glowy" appearance. Both the decals and stickers have that dotted print magazine appearance when viewed up close. Frontier kits were the same way. You could mask and paint the blue and grey stripes across the fuselage if you're good at masking and painting, but that's way more work than I want to put into this lol

Couldn't resist. -
My quick and dirty build is taking way longer than I expected. Ended up painting the sensors and even the white oval bumps on the head. Photo really shows off how cheaply printed the stickers/decals Bandai includes in their kits are. As usual I'm just using a mechanical pencil to draw in all the panel lines.

Some leftover Mr Hobby clear yellow paint I had from way back when I thought I might actually build the RVF-25, but I got the DX instead.

So I started working on the 31 kit and yeah, if you built any of the Frontier kits from Bandai, then this is going to be the same level of ease or headache, depending on how much effort you're willing to put into it. I was intending to just slap it together straight out of the box with minimal effort, but the thought of stickered head sensors and navigational lights and an untinted canopy was too much for me.

Macross Zero was boring as hell and the last episode made no damn sense. Macross Plus contains rape victim blaming. Macross II and 7 were just plain awful. It's important to keep a sense of proportion. EDIT: Crap, did I accidentally kinda sorta defend Macross Delta? Nuts.

I'm sure he'll be back in his 31J by next week. He's just continuing the proud Macross tradition of the hero going through at least 3 or 4 valkyries during the series. If I were a taxpayer in the Macross universe, I'd be annoyed.

Nice haul. The 31 doesn't look too shabby stuck together out of the box. I'm not going to put that much time or money into something I'm going to toss in the trash in 6 months, so mine will have a non-canon clear red visor. -

Hehe thanks! Iron Man is a more interesting character, but in Civil War I'm #TeamCap all the way! So I checked out the model kit. The sensors and fold quartz(?) are molded in the proper "beam saber" transparent pink, but the head visor is not. Thanks, Bandai! -
