Nice! The Titan is a nice looking ship, though I don't like it when they cheap out and paint the nacelles blue instead of using transparent blue parts. Been eyeing the XL Reliant, but Eaglemoss always excludes the XL line from any promotions. -
I have 3x 1J ordered and will get the 1S if/when it comes out. I don't think Bandai is going to make every variant like Yamato did, so replacing a 1/60 collection is a non-issue at this point. I'll revise that opinion if Bandai ever releases a DX 1D Virgin Road version.

I'd be surprised if you managed to break something by simply pushing the wing hinge downward to eliminate the gap. Your copy must be ridiculously tight if it won't go down at all.

Thanks for the math lesson. He said he had a second one preordered at NY, and that he was canceling it. I'll spare you the English lesson and just say that that statement implies he's canceling one unit. Perhaps he meant he had two orders, but that's not the meaning one would get from his statement.

No idea why they didn't just use the 0S white on the missiles. Those missiles are way pinker than even the standard Arcadia VF-1 pink-white. Maybe Mr. K had pinkeye when he approved them. -
Well, the Yamato VF-4 was the first and only perfect transformation toy of it, and Yamato only made so many right before they went under. And wasn't it a web exclusive item, too? They usually went for around 70k yen at Mandarake before the Arcadia reissue.

I'd rather they just announce both versions like they did with Max & Miria so those of us who want the PF version can skip the regular release. Alas, no more discount coupons so I might actually have to pay full price for the SV-51.

WTF no ejection seat markings? Goddammit Bandai. All that tampo printing and they forget one of the most obvious ones? It's always two steps forward, one step back with Bandai. I'm thinking the side covers are removable. Even at this scale I don't see where there would be room for them to collapse into. Real world toys can't use anime magic.

Ranka figures are almost always better than Sheryl. A lot of figure sculptors just can't get Sheryl's face right.

Looks pretty good for such a small scale! @Shizuka the Cat Oh also the Max 1S has a black heat shield while the Max 1A has a blue one. So you'd need to pilfer a black heat shield from a Roy 1S if you're going the Frankenstein route. -
The wing tabs just very poorly into the leg fast packs.

What noel said about swapping parts. But then you'd be sacrificing a Max 1A and a 1S to frankenstein yourself Max's 1S. I guess you could make a Focker 1A with the leftovers? Or make yourself another Hikaru 1A? They played pretty fast and loose with sizes in the old Macross shows, so I wouldn't get too hung up about the size of the missiles or whatever. You're not obsessed about size, are you?! Thank you kind sir! Who's the maker of that tiny 1S? Thanks noel! -

Finally got around to finishing up the valkyrie flown by the shortest-tenured skull leader. And with that I'm done with skull leader units forever! ...or until there's a DX 1S.
