That's just a temporary head swap. I've no desire to permanently Frankenstein a Roy 1A. -
Ranka figures are almost always better than Sheryl. A lot of figure sculptors just can't get Sheryl's face right.

Looks pretty good for such a small scale! @Shizuka the Cat Oh also the Max 1S has a black heat shield while the Max 1A has a blue one. So you'd need to pilfer a black heat shield from a Roy 1S if you're going the Frankenstein route. -
The wing tabs just very poorly into the leg fast packs.

What noel said about swapping parts. But then you'd be sacrificing a Max 1A and a 1S to frankenstein yourself Max's 1S. I guess you could make a Focker 1A with the leftovers? Or make yourself another Hikaru 1A? They played pretty fast and loose with sizes in the old Macross shows, so I wouldn't get too hung up about the size of the missiles or whatever. You're not obsessed about size, are you?! Thank you kind sir! Who's the maker of that tiny 1S? Thanks noel! -

Finally got around to finishing up the valkyrie flown by the shortest-tenured skull leader. And with that I'm done with skull leader units forever! ...or until there's a DX 1S.

Yep, that's how I see it. As long as Bandai and Arcadia keep making cool stuff I want, I'll be happy. I don't see valkyrie toys as some kind of zero sum Highlander struggle where one company must die so the other can... keep making toys? Which they're already doing anyway? Wish Arcadia would just tampo markings by default, though. Not that Bandai valks had all that much tampo either, until more recent valks. I'd welcome another player in the game, too. I'm still waiting for a Mylene VF-11!

I guess some are still sore about the color of a toy that came out over three years ago? That's alright, I'm only just now getting over Bandai's terrible initial VF-25 line. Remember how in school your teacher told you that if you got a zero, it would take three 100s to bring it to a passing grade? Well, Bandai got out a lot of zeroes back then. In any case, I'm still hoping for a PF release of the 0D, even if the shade of blue used isn't "perfect."

It's a damn shame Bandai didn't release the 27 super parts + ghosts as a TWE. Or give the 27 a proper renewal makeover.
