What grade of sandpaper do you guys recommend to slight sand down the left over marks from cutting the parts off? -

Nice, I can't wait until November. -
Hey Miriya what parts appeared a little floppy? In addition are the ball jointed necks of the lions nice and tight? On the diecast version I sold a while ago the black lion's neck was so loose it felt like there was zero friction between the joint and the socket.

Bandai 1/60 DX VF-25 transformable toy thread
SuperHobo replied to David Hingtgen's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
Considering those are the model pictures mistransformed I'm wondering if those awkward hip placements have been like the DX where the hips are just mistransformed. We know the hips can be positioned much lower on the model. Yes its a long shot, but it would be nice for bandai to pull a miracle. I still have faith, but patience is running thin. -

Hobby search the king of scams? -
So still no reports of breakages for the 1A ? Maybe the Yamato 1st release curse still prevails and lurks its ugly head with the VF-1S.

Damn if I ever manage to obtain this kit I'll transform it once into battloid and then just leave it there on my shelf to look pretty. Transformable model kits being fragile is nothing new. -

Man HLJ is getting rather weird. I never received a payment request for my item, but i look at my account and it says i can pay it via a paypal button. Is this a new feature for HLJ? -

I'm still waiting for those final pictures to come up and not some rapid protocraptype. -
For me the ending was better than I expected and certainly not a train wreck. However it could have been much better and spread out a little more. Overall I'm happy with the series and its ending. Possibly and OVA or movie (Sunrise if you want more money) could milk the series a little more to fully resolve all the plot holes.

Why does bandai keep posing it with the shoulders so far stretched out? In one of those prototype pics it looks like the shoulders can recess a lot more inward giving it a less gorilla arm look. Nice to see the fast packs make it look more fat LOL. -

Even the smaller 1/100 looks a lot better proportionally than the DX 1/60. -

Cool to hear that this is only test shot #1. However what still irks me is why the use of ball joints for the shoulders? I don't mind is there for the hips. but come on someone give this beast some clicky shoulder joints! -

Hmmm the metal around the upper hip seems like an odd place to put the metal. Certainly maybe the lower legs having the metal would have been better to allow for more balance on the Valkyrie. Glad to see the clear canopy too. Why the short landing gear bandai? Someone give that valk less to eat in this case it needs the anorexic look! -
Possibly these cracking shoulder hinges are only on the VF-1S as nobody has broken their 1A yet. However I think Yamato took a step back on these as the plastic is way too thin around the metal pin. Looking at the 1/48 and VF-0 there's a lot more plastic around them as well as the hinge fully locking into position and they hold up after countless transformations. I'm not sure if I want to continue to buy this line if I know its quite easy for the plastic to crack at the hinge unless Yamato corrects this. I would love to buy the VF-1D, but man seeing my own VF-1S crack at the shoulder really turns me off for this line.
-
Ok these shoulder hinges SUCK. I was transforming my VF-1S and doing the mod Shin spoke of and bam on the right shoulder hinge i noticed a part of plastic at the hinge cracking. Granted it still works, but maybe after a few more transformations i can kiss the right arm goodbye. So HLJ is selling replacement parts for the shoulders?

Of all the J-pop bands out there it had to be Ali-Project! If I ever see this show I will without a doubt rush past the intro no matter how beautiful it may look. Death to Ali-Project!

Man if my calculations are right this VF-4 toy will be about 5.4 inches in battloid mode Pretty small for a $50 toy.

Nope the release date is in November. However I still worry as we haven't seen what the final product is going to look like.
