    I think I'm the only one who's totally turned off by this Rebuild series. It has done nothing to turn my crank other than look pretty, and that's not enough for me.

    You know, that FoC Bruticus is growing on me. He seems more like a robot that's been cludged together from other robots, and not designed as a whole robot that's then broken down into smaller ones. Not that I'm going to spend any money on him, mind...

    The Leviathon was Soverign? Yuck. I had built this theory in my head where the Leviathan was a Reaper prototype built by the Keepers (builders of the Reapers themselves) which didn't live up to expectations, so they went on to the Metallic Space Cuttlefish we all know and love. Which were so powerful they turned on their creators and repurposed them into the Keepers of today's Citadel Why is it fanon is sometimes better than the actual story?

    The plot to take over the Citadel comes from the fact that they went out f their way to make sure the Citadel would become the centre of whatever civilization arose in subsequent cycles. It's the heart of the relay network, is perfectly suited for large numbers of alien species, and is wholly customizable by The Keepers for all biochemistries. This would give the invading reapers valuable census data on just which worlds were inhabited, where the bulk of military forces were stationed and allow them to control the relay network and shut it down for all users save themselves. It's also a direct route from their hibernation area in Dark Space to the galaxy at large. And the trap worked for umpteen million years, until the Protheans cracked the code and set in motion the hope for the next cycle. That makes me wonder if this war is the first that the reapers had to fight in any conventional sense. Without the citadel and access to its command/control functions they couldn't shut down the relay network, and that's what gave the races a chance at victory.

    Sideswipe and Soundwave are a pass for me. Still hunting for MP-10 and -11, though.

    Yeah, it really did. So much about this game could've been explained better with a few words of exposition. It's not like this game doesn't have the room for more words

    The Reapers were trapped in dark space... for a while. Remember, being artificial lifeforms that don't have a set lifespan as we know it, they could just use conventional FTL drives to come from dark space the old fashioned way. Which explains the time gap from Harbinger waking the rest of the Reapers up at the end of ME 2 and their eventual arrival in ME3. If they could use their Relay, it would've instantanious and they'd have popped in at the Citadel. Instead they had to hump it to the nearest relay at the edge of the galaxy and zip around from there. And yes, I'm a bit upset at the plot point about Haestrom's sun prematurely aging being up and dropped. I expect better than that from BioWare.

    Thundercracker and MP-10 Prime? Might be a pricy TF year for me. I don't buy a lot of them, maybe one or two figs a year. MP Rodimus Prime and 25th Anniversary Unicron have been my biggest non-Robotech purchases for toys, ever. I simply don't have the money to drop on a $600 figure, even if Hercules / Not-Devvy was tempting...

    Yeah, but how can you really Masterpiece-erize Soundwave? His transformation was already pretty basic and still looked decent in both modes. If it ends up being just a larger-scale type of G1 toy, then I can't see it worth that kind of money. If it's a new transformation, then is it really an homage to G1?

    I'm going to treat this the same way I did the Dark Knight: "Heath Ledger? Who's this? No acid skin or stretched smile? Just make-up? *ptui!* That's not the Joker!" Then I saw the first trailer during his Unflinching Walk towards Batman in the streets and I could see the direction Ledger was taking the character. That trailer sold me right away. Same with this. On paper, it sounds like crap. I'll reserve view/not-view judgement until after a trailer comes out.

    Well that's good news, but we need MP-10 first! When is he coming out, Hasbro?! *fist shake*

    Pity it doesn't look like Quantum/SPECTRE will be making a reappearance. I really enjoyed how that tied Casino Royale and Solace together. While SPECTRE as it was wouldn't really work well, cold war gone and all that, a captialistic Quantum made a perfect baddie for Bond this go around.
