  1. Because the original Manga comic hasn't ended yet. It's still going on, and on, and on, and on. Sloooowly going on, but still going. Personally, I disregard most of the manga as too power-trippy for my liking. I honestly prefer the somewhat lower power levels of the movie than the animes or manga.
  2. That trailer didn't really turn my crank. It seemed more like a rehash of S1 than anything about S2. Now, bring me my S2 of Jessica Jones! And Luke Cage! Jess and Luke together!
  3. Any updates on the new Headmaster line coming out? Especially Fort Max?
  4. It worked fine when it was developed in the 80s, for the original Mechanoids game. But trying to expand it into other settings, especially the kludged-togetherness that is Robotech and Rifts RPGs (and yes, I do love those games. I'll love them 'til my dying breath) just made for a clunky gaming experience. Combat was slow and taking far too long to resolve is my major gripe.
  5. I STILL love Rifts... as a story. As a long running novel. As a game system... I gotta say nay. Splicers is still my favourite title, though. Also, Kickstarter? Seriously? Why is it everything needs to be Kickstarted before getting a release these days?
  6. The only thing that worries me about this movie is the scope. They've already shown us a lot of characters, and I wonder if they'll be able to juggle them all without the whole thing getting muddled down. That being said, I love what Ryan looks like he's bringing to the movie. "Ow! That went RIGHT up main street!"
  7. I personally think Kilgrave's creepiest, most vile moment was in 1x05, where we was talking to Jessica on the phone. He didn't need to use his powers, but was still so controlling and compelling that he talked Jessica into doing what he wanted. He was smart and perceptive enough to figure out what she was thinking about without her having to utter a word. Kilgrave is the worst!
  8. I remember liking the Affleck-suit... After a few weeks of thinking about it, I've decided that I prefer Jennifer Jones over Daredevil. Krysten Ritter did an amazing job with what could've been a clichéd character and was able to imbue her with layers. And booze. Layers of booze.
  9. If Netflix series' are allowed (and they are, dammit!) then I've got to nominate Kilgrave from Jessica Jones. Without being a world-conquering, warmongering, kill-em-all sterotyipcal badguy, David Tennant made Kilgrave into such a slimy, horiffically EVIL villain that has all the wit and charm of a hero and the morals of... um... check that, no morals at all. There are fascinating layers to the character, while never letting the audience understand just how repulsive and nasty he really is. Props to Netflix for letting a show (and a character) like this to happen.
  10. Kilgrave is a human stain that needs to be obliterated from the face of the Earth. I love how the show took a comic book supervillain and made him so... so... slimy. He's not a world-conquering Doom, or a racial apocalypse of the likes of Magneto, but Kilgrave is just so VILE. Utterly evil, completely without remorse or redemption of any sense of morals, and yet he's not nearly as over-the-top as some other villains. Jessica is also not your average comicbook hero, which is just as awesome. I love playing "spot the bottle" in the episodes, and occasionally toy with the idea of making it into a drinking game Luke Cage is unbearably cool, and I can't wait to see what he gets with his own series. While the show isn't as grabbing as Daredevil, I'm finding that I enjoy the overall plot far more than DD.
  11. How many arms and legs and/or first borns will be needed to get this into production? Please, please, please don't tell me it's a custom one-off...
  12. Or come out of retirement and give us the models and WIPs we so badly need. You and WM Cheng.
  13. I haven't seen any of the Rocky movies all the way through until I saw Balboa a few years ago. It was really, really, REALLY good. This one has piqued my interest in so many ways. It looks outstanding, and it'll be my first Day 1 movie since Revenge of the Fallen.
  14. So how exactly did you scale the plans from 1/32 to 1/48? CAD, freehand, or those nifty triangular scales that I see all over the place?
  15. Did you use "official" stats for your scale, or just eye-ball them until they look right beside each other?
  16. Wow, those Mospeada mecha really are stubby craft, aren't they? Still, awesome work Now. About my hovertanks...
  17. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/D3qKIpOCesU" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> EDIT https://youtu.be/D3qKIpOCesU EDIT x2: *sigh* At least I'm getting closer to imbedding the file... *hangs head in shame*
  18. Dammit. I can't get the copy/paste to work, so I can't post the link except by typing it out. ARRRGH!!
  19. Given all the conversation about this movie, I have to add this little addition to the thread. I doubt it's official, but damn does it look GOOD. https://youtu.be/D3qKlpOCesU
  20. That is a sweet-looking Alpha-Beta combo. It really drives home the scale difference between the mecha through the generations of the Robotech story.
  21. Monster Schmonster. Reg-what-ult? Hovertanks are where it's at. You know this to be true.
  22. My emotions on todays update: On a more on-topic question, how accurate do you make the curved parts? Straight edges seem like they'd be easier to scale up and down, but curves not so much. Do you free-hand shapes like the nosecone or are you able to measure it somehow to ensure accuracy?
  23. Neat! How does that grinding block in your drill press let you create perfectly parallel blocks?
