  1. I'm looking forward to them cause i am cheap and 1/48s are really expensive.
  2. You are right. I just watched that ep last week and they are the slotted ones as opposed to the round ones. Oh well, maybe the VF-1D 1/60 will have slotted
  3. I just watch it because it is a good show. If it wasnt Macross, i'd watch it. Even if it wasnt anime i'd watch it. Being part of my all-time favourite anime franchise is just a sweet extra
  4. Well, if they do kill him, lets make it really ironic. He gets back together with Cathy, they get engaged and she gets pregnant. Everything perfect...then BAM (if anyone remembers the movie Hotshots, think of Dead Meat)
  5. Just saw it and i was pretty impressed. I dont know much about Iron Man, the only comic i read that features him was the Ultimates, but from what i do know they stay pretty faithful to his origin story. RD Jr did an amazing job that i didnt think many could really do. Lets face it Tony Stark is kinda a prick and RD Jr captured it perfectly. My only qualm is they didnt really make mention of Stark's slight alcoholism that later becomes his big story. P.S. The secret scene of Samuel L Jackson gave me hope that the Captain America + Avengers movies will follow the Ultimates storyline
  6. Ok, i'm just trying to figure a little thing out here... So, we think that Ozma left NUNS 11 years ago after saving Ranka, so that puts him about late 20's - early 30's How old is Cathy then? I find it hard to believe that she was old enough to be involved with Ozma 11 years ago. And it seems unlikely that they were together after he left. Perhaps he didnt leave NUNS 11 years ago? Or maybe i'm too used to seeing no one over 25 in anime that still looks as good as Cathy.
  7. FYI, never is a good idea to bring up gundam in a Macross discussion Anyway, i think some of you guys are over exaggerating a bit. To be an anime fan is to sometimes let little small defects slide.
  8. I was under the impression that they just used clones to repopulate after SW1 and no longer do so. Anyway, Good episode. I like a slower-pace character driven episode after a few actiony episodes. It gives the viewer a little downtime to absorb everything. Seems like they've gone pretty far in the story for just 3 episodes. I'm so happy it didnt move at a snail's pace like many other series. P.S. I can never look at a steamed bun the same again.
  9. I have to agree there. When Max just popped out with his VF-22 like a bat outta hell was one awesome macross moment
  10. I haven't heard stand will be included, but it does seem possible since Yamato's last few releases have included stands.
  11. Anyone notice that in the intro for ep2 the Britainnian empire is based out of the Americas and not England? Just something i thought was odd.
  12. I'm kinda surprised that so many people are having trouble with playback. Even on my old crappy pc i dont ever remember having a problem with h.264. On to the real discussion... To me, Frontier, above all other mac series, feels the most like the original series. I think its great that they are bringing the franchise back to its roots. We've had many different Macross series these last 25 years; some good, some bad. But, its nice to see it kinda come full circle.
  13. Oh, i am so looking forward to this. I haven't bought a toy in 3 months to save up for this.
  14. Nice work Mr March. The new shades really bring out more detail. Just something i've always wondered. Were the Megaroad class ships equipped with Macross cannons (doesn't really look like it to me)?
  15. I have about a dozen of these figures and they are very worth the price (not even that high either). The articulation is pretty decent and the detail is top notch. The figures are a very good representation of the characters, also. As well as the FF7 figs, I would recommend the motorcycle figure from FF7: AC. The detail on it is really nice and you can pick one up for as low as $40 nowadays. The only problem i've ever had with a FF play arts figure was that I bought a FFX-2 Paine figure from someone off ebay and when i received it, a leg was broken off at the knee. The joints are plastic so i suppose care should be taken not to force them. The seller claimed it was MISB, but i'm not sure i believe him. (but i got a refund and kept and repaired the toy ) On a side note, anyone know a seller with the FF7 game version bike?
  16. If after seeing this anyone has a urge to put a polkadot skirt on thir valk, please seek immediate psychological medical attention.
  17. Me too... As a washout, ex-hippie, has-been rockstar (fat and bald too )
  18. I figured it would be called that when i first heard the series was coming out. Perhaps fans are reading too much into it, rather than it being a nice way to give a wink to the 25 anniversary.
  19. And i thought they were getting too lolicon with Ranka So she's the commander of the SMS pilots? I remember seeing an old guy as the captain of their ship in the first ep.
  20. Thanks for the link. Still looks kinda confusing to me how the series will start, what with how the last season ended. Oh well, hopefully it will be as good as the first season.
  21. Oh yeah, i forgot about her maybe the lead designer could her ex-boyfriend.
  22. Of all my thoughts the least cheesy is: VF-25 Rex (yes, lets rip off metal gear)
  23. I see that this is one of a new line from Yamato, i wonder if they are trying to compete with Revoltech on poseable character figures
  24. Reasonably complex transformation? Please, please tell me you'll be doing a transformation video. I probably would have busted my 19 without your helpful vid.
  25. Agreed that that is a weird scale. Although the toy does look really poseable. I'm not really liking the huge gap for the shoulder joint though.
