    How? The joints might become looser over time like with the V1 DX Messiahs. Plus the 17 is more memorable, and has been in demand for a much longer time. Plus it wasn't treated as cannon fodder, so I think it's safe to say the VF-17 is more popular(I would buy both though, the 171, especially the EX, looks awesome).

    Hell yeah! The design is sexy. The fighter mode is cool, I like how it's optimized for the atmosphere, and the garage kits looked awesome back in the day!

    ...going by this I HOPE the bundles are NOT TamashiiWeb exclusives. Tamashii has sold separate armors before though, Ozma and Alto's FAST packs, then Alto's Tornado Armor and Armored Messiah parts.

    HAhaha, I see. You might like Joint Assault then, as the F-16 is close to mid, and the F-2 is comparably much slower(heard it's actually under powered in real life...weird considering the engine it has). Must be a lot of added weight with the alterations. Joint Assault not only has the F-5 and A-4, but a Zero and Hellcat.

    Welp, I'll be getting this next week, so I'll let all of you know how it turned out. I've played almost all of the Ace Combats. I felt that X and Joint Assault were more of sequels to the PS2 Ace Combats than 6 was. 6 had the best graphics and replays by far but a short plane roster, boring story and missions that were too long. Online mode suffered since once somebody held R1 picked QAAM in the SU47 and joined the fray, it was pretty much over. The flight dynamics need to be changed, and there is no reason why the F-16 should've been low tier WTF is that. The planes have much better stats in Joint Assault, also helps that you can tune them to your liking with the upgrade parts. I get the feeling AH won't have the in depth upgrade system of Joint Assault. Plane roster is better than 6 but not as good as Joint Assault and 5. After a few months I won't be surprised if Namco Bandai makes an HD collection of the PS2 games. Sony likes them and they seem to be win/win combos for both developers and gamers.

    Graham do you know yet if the VF-17 will have a lot of ratchets and if the arms can go in normal and high speed mode? Damn it, I want 2 now. The S was awesome...and same with the D. Why? Both are bulky in battroid, unique VF's, and the HEAD SCULPTS! The head designs are some of my favorites of all VF's.

    VF-19F/S have shorter wings and more vernier thrusters since they're optimized for space operation whereas the VF-19A-E perform better in the atmosphere. Nothing to do with the wing root guns.

    Wish Yamato would go for the Mospeada license. They seem like the only company that would strive to make a better Legioss toy. Toynami has done nothing new since the MPC Alpha and CMs seemed to just come and go for the anniversary.

    I think the Emerald Force F and white P will be mass release in spring. Now blood red P and proto Blazer S(sky blue, red trim) I think would be webshop exclusives.

    I want lots of ratchets and detents on this bad boy. Can't wait to see the VF17D that head sculpt was so bad ass. Speaking of heads, hope they're on ball joints. VF17 has one of the best battroids designed. General Galaxy FTW

    Cool shots David, I especially like the Flogger and Draken pics! The Flogger had a terrible rep in Constant Peg, but damn it looks menacing. The book on Constant Peg was enlightening. From the accounts within, the MIG21 was very potent.

    I don't care how inaccurate the VF17 toys may be. The Yamato has a chunky battroid and appropriately big yet slender fighter mode. That's what I wanted from a VF17 toy. Even better if gerwalk can have arms in normal and high speed mode.

    Sucks that we have yet to get a decent modern Legioss toy. I have the Aoshima Zeta which was a very very bad lemon, and the CMs Zeta which was better but I hate how the gun is not very secure in the hands and how nothing locks into place in fighter mode.

    The big difference is that the V2 can transform without removing any parts. The V1 had removable legs, noseplug, heatshield, gerwalk antenna and forearm panels(initial releases). V1 also had a lot of diecast and the sculpt was less refined and a lot less detailed.

    Well I mean for "normal" VF-1, Hakuna Aoba's doesn't count since it's heavily customized for racing!

    What I like about Plus is that you don't necessarily have to watch any previous Macross to know what it's about. So it's a good introduction to Macross for any newcoming fan.
