  1. The YF-23 and F-15S/TMD will be added as DLC. Others include Kawamori's Shinden II, Tornado GR3, and Harrier II Plus. Wish there was a dlc for planes "everyone forgot but noone wants but me" F-8E Crusader F-4J Phantom II F-5E Tiger II F-20 Tigershark A-4M Mongoose(and/or A-4AR) YF-17 Cobra NATF F-105 Thunderchief A-7 Corsair
  2. Thing is though, compared to Toynami, Hasbro would actually have product on shelves imho. If a Robotech movie EVER ever gets off the ground I would rather have Hasbro have the license than Toynami.
  3. Graham, which joints in battroid mode have detents and ratchets? For me, the more click joints, the better! Does the proto feel as solid as the Fire Valkyrie?
  4. A lot. Way more when I was younger and had less toys. I've found that the more that I get, sometimes the less I'm able to appreciate what I have.
  5. It's not just them, companies like Bandai and TakaraTomy have products with higher msrp's this year and it's probably only going to get higher. For me, the VF11 was a sign of things to come, price-wise. The Blazer though, to me, will be worth it.
  6. I would imagine very soon as the Blazer is scheduled for November release. Damn. I don't think I will wait for a review, I might just preorder it. Been in love with that design since 97 when I first saw the 1/100 plamo kit at Hungates.
  7. Good god the fighter mode looks sexy as hell. Battroid looks good too. Forgot if this was answered, is the upcoming 1/60 Nightmare able to pose arms in both normal, and high speed mode as described in translations from Macross Ace and/or a similar magazine?
  8. I liked being Anterus and Blaze...but Anterus more...one of the ONLY AC pilots not described as a #$%&*()/ing demigod. Mobius 1 was overhyped, same with Cipher and guy from 6 iirc. Oh dude from ACX too.
  9. I could be wrong, but it seems like it's sold well enough to not get to that point.
  10. If Hasbro had the Robotech license I bet they wouldn't sit on it like Toynami does. I think they would release a lot of toys. Not as intricate nor as detailed as Bandai nor Yamato, but better than Toynami. They also have the incentive of possibly getting TakaraTomy to partner with and handle the engineering. Maybe a mass market simplified mainline with "Masterpiece" items sprinkled in. I don't think anyone here is going to say the MPC VF-1 is a better toy than MP Starscream. Hell maybe they could finally do the Legioss some justice, something Toynami nor CMs was able to do well. I just think Hasbro would actually DO something with the license. IMHO Maiden Japan is underused by Toynami, how many items has he already sculpted that have yet to be released?
  11. It would be cheaper for us though, domestic shipping is always cheaper than EMS. For example, Bluefin Tamashii is able to distribute Robot Damashii and SH Figurarts here, and buying a release from them here via online or specialty store iirc is cheaper than ordering one straight from Japan.
  12. Your VF0A: reissue from last year, or original release?
  13. That's essentially what would happen if the game were made into HD, plus the addition of trophies and leaderboards. Tomcat to me always looks best with wings spread or midspread. They seem to sweep too fast in 4 and 5, 6 had it good. Anyways, those of you who dislike CRA/DFM, would you like the game if those could be disabled in the final game? For me using those made the game kind of exciting.
  14. Interestingly enough, the president of Sony Japan was talking about how well the HD collections are being received, being looked at as a win/win package for both game companies and fans. With AC4, 5, and Zero arguably being the most popular Ace Combat games created, and given that HD collections on PS3 are doing well so far, and that the aforementioned trilogy was on PS2, I think an HD collection is likely. I would also LOVE to see an HD collection of X and Joint Assault. X had horrid dubbing, but both might look good in HD, and possibly benefit from the R3 button, the same way the HD Peacewalker will in the US MGS HD Collection. If AH bombs, and HD collection with Joint Assault would be a good fallback, that game is fairly in depth. Did it ever bother anyone that the F-14 in Ace Combat 4 and 5 swepth it's wings too fast? Salivating for Ace Combat Unsung War HD Collection.
  15. I think the main reason Project Aces made a rebirth with Assault Horizon was because 6 didn't do so hot. Part of this imho, is because it wasn't on PS3, the other because some of the missions were just too damn long and allied assault didn't help much. The crew did play COD and HAWX, what I think they're aiming for here is an Ace Combat to bury HAWX with the up close and personal aspect from COD. Ultimately I think it'll boil down to this. Did they succeed in surpassing HAWX? Yes. Did they succeed in making a great game worthy of baring the title Ace Combat? That's what'll be a good subject for debate. My main worries now is that the campaign will be too short. I could be wrong. I hope it's semi dynamic...I liked unlocking alternate missions in previous games. Also I have a feeling the upgrade system from the PSP games won't be in it, but will instead be in Cross Rumble. The steel carnage thing, with regards to that, I did read a while back that a lot of Japanese developers are trying to either cater more to the western market/audience, and/or take more influence/inspiration from them, and this explains the COD influence on CRA/steel carnage.
  16. I would definitely want one like that and there are plenty neat ones to choose from in the VMF book
  17. Since there are comparisons being made with the VF-0's, I would just like to add, I have the 2010 reissues and so far my A and S haven't had damaged arms yet. There were some light stress marks on the brace that holds the hip bar in fighter/gerwalk and the area where the backplate tabs plug into the lower legs, moreso on the A model than the S. The arms have not fallen off but the rubber coverings inside were seeping out to begin with. I don't know what Yamato did with the V2 1/60 VF-1 but the joints, especially the ball jointed shoulders, never felt worn out after constant handling, unlike my 1/48 VF-1 and other older Yamato Valkyries. Honestly though, I would take universal rotation joints that are ratcheted, like on the 1/55 VF-1, rather than ball joints. As long as there is also a hinge that can pivot inward and outward(in addition to universal rotation joints), you don't really need a ball joint imho.
  18. Nah, then there's SDF CREDIT CARD YF-19 is a beautiful design. I would love to see a new one, and line it up next to Emerald Force
  19. LOL. Air Force Delta doesn't compare man, it only beats Ace Combat in plane roster. Air Force Delta for Dreamcast and the one on Xbox are maybe better than Air Combat, but neither of them beat Ace Combat 2. Most folks only bought Air Force Delta Strike because they already played through Ace Combat 4 and wanted something to play to kill time before Ace Combat 5 came out. That would be an awesome game to redo in HD, the localization in the US sucked and we didn't get everything that the Japanese version had. My friends who played the Japanese release liked it. I didn't like the US version, got boring quick. I have heard that it's easier to redo PS2 and PSP games in HD for PS3 than it is for converting PS1 games to HD. So the Unsung War trilogy is more likely as an HD collection
  20. Did VF-X-1 look exactly like the VF-X? I know the primary difference is that the VF-X doesn't transform. I'm wondering if the Yamato VF-X, with the new parts removed, is supposed to be the VF-X-1
  21. I think AH still has HAWX beat, even with CRA/DFM in AH. HAWX 2 felt uninspired.
