    So far my favourite Live action sci fi show is Stargate SG1 & Atlantis My favourite anime is zeta gundam Edit:- Having this poll would be pointless since their are so many shows and it would be impossible to keep updating the list.

    Because they make more money in the USA and Japan market. Europe is third rate, we get the poo stuff and we pay more for it. The 40gb version still expensive, sony hoping people would pay more for less features AGAIN! Also Europe is made up of different languages and television formats, that games companies are just too lazy to invest, convert or translate, which is why we don't always get the same games as the USA. I will be getting a PS3 in the future, but right now its too expensive even for the future budget version. I'll probably get one when the PS4 comes out.

    I finally got the Ammo Tin DVD set, now I can sell my old nu tech versions. I watched the specail features disc and I have to say I'm glad they did not continue making an english dub version, the opening music is such a big mess. Watching votoms again has resparked my interest, I might paint my Yamato Melkia Scopedog into a Red shoulder. I'm also thinking of buying the OVAs, but are there any english translations like fansubs for them?

    Yeah I thought it was in that general area, I laid traps all over the place but I keep catching crap. How the hell did I catch it the first time round remains a big mystery. Though this time I'm playing Subsistance instead of the original version, you don't suppose they changed the location?

    Sorry for digging up this old topic, but I started playing Metal Gear solid 3 again. Can anyone remember where to find the Tsukinoko Snake, I can't remember where to find it. When you catch it and keep it you get the infinite ammo face paint. It's a wierd short snake.

    Macho? or just plain nuts Char is one screwed up character, lolita complex, ongoing revenge, identity crisis........is he a good guy or is he a bad guy. Anyway, he's still the best character out of the whole gundam franchise.

    When I watched my Macross Plus DVDs, on a non-HD LCD TV the picture quality though still good was not as sharp or smooth when watched through my HD LCD TV. I was wondering if its just the TV or is it the "HD remaster" that makes it much sharper for HD TVs. I playing my DVDs on a normal player.

    I have a few DVDs that are HD remastered, though they all have good picture quality, I'm using the S-Video input on a HD TV, but to enable to take full advantage of the "HD quality" do I need to play them through a HD player?

    I've got a few of the Action figures that came out a few years ago. I was thinking of getting the models, but wasn't sure if they are in the same scale. Seeing your pictures has made up my mind, are these kits snap fit and pre-coloured? I'm just too lazy to glue and paint these days, not that I was any good at it.

    I'm not sure what to think about a Live movie. I've not seen Robotech, so if they make a movie I hope it would have a fresh start for people who are not familiar with Robotech. If they redo it like the new battlestar galactica that would be great. Make it very realistic without the singing from Minmay (did they keep the singing in robotech?). Also this could be a good opportunity for robotech to start fresh without being associated with the Macross Franchise.

    Both formats are good if they are done well, it all depends on the voice actor, if they don't put any effort then it can be heard through the show. This is the same for Japanese actors. I mostly watch my shows in sub, and I have picked up a few Japanese phrases from it. Whats weird is when you get use one format its hard to adjust to the other. I watched ghost in the shell SAC in english first, but now I can't get use to the Japanese voices.

    I got my Macross Plus box set this week, I'm very happy with it, picture quality and sound is great. Now I can get rid of my crappy manga dvd versions after I copy them to my computer, so I'll have an English reference.

    Always been a fan of the Empire, they had all the great vehicles and costume designs. The Rebels never really did appeal to me mainly because of the damn ewoks, chewbacca and C3PO. According to the new movies Jedi need to be trained from childhood, yet Luke Skywalker manages to take a fast track course, Yoda can jump about without the aid of a walking stick. It seems the Rebels are full of lies and deceit.

    The new star wars movies were a big disappointment, Starship Troopers 2 was crap, Star trek the motion picture was absolutely boring. There are so many I can't name them all.

    At some points the New Scarlet has a English accent, but most of the time it sounds different to me, its like a mix between the two. Then again a British actor can also play an American. I guest I'm too use to the old Scarlet. I also read somewhere that they deliberately gave some characters (not necessary Scarlet) American accents as an attempt to crack the US market. The red haired angel for example has an American accent, but the old one has a English one, I think they also changed the names about. I'm sure harmony was the Japanese angel in the old one, but in the new one shes the red headed angel. The Japanese Angel is now Symphony, who use to be a blond American in the old one bla bla bla........

    Ok, I've watched the first thirteen episodes, I have to say the show has grown on me, once I got use to the changes in the characters and vehicles. Captain Blue is Bad Ass, Captain Black has a lot more to say than the original and colonel white has actually got legs instead of sitting behind a desk most of the time. Overall character development and relationships are much more fleshed out than the original. I don't know how popular this show is, but you should give the DVDs a chance. I don't ever remember seeing any promotional material for this show and I never knew it was already shown on UK TV which is strange. Given the shows big budget there should have been a lot of promotion on TV. Its a real shame they didn't, I reckon it would have been very popular if it was handled better, like showing it at 6pm or something so families can watch it together. I remember watching the old Scarlet on BBC 2 at 6pm in the early 1990s.

    I don't know what accent it is that the new scarlet has, it sounds American to me, but it doesn't sound English. Now the new captain Black's accent is English without the mysteron voice.

    Just bought the dvds to this show. I've always been a fan of the original Captain Scarlet, never did like any of the other shows by Gerry Anderson. I've watch the fist two episodes, so far its a good show to watch even if your a grown up. The only problem I have with the show is that the characters have lost their charm with the different voice acting, Scarlet has an American accent and destiny has lost her French one. The vehicles are great but they are named after animals, which doesn't sound right.

    your right about the likeness, but its the pose that doesn't appeal to me, I've always preferred my figures in a standing position, because it saves a lot of shelf space

    aren't some of the computer games EU as well, as for the books never read them, but I have read the comics Dark Empire and Shadows of the Empire, both in my opinion are crap, well shadows was ok.

    The psyco gundam looks cool, but I've always preferred the psyco gundam mk 2.

    I had no idea that cloning was used to repopulate the human race, I always assumed the humans were all the descendants of the survivors and also the zentradai. Since zentradai and humans are the same and can have children I always thought the population level was healthy.
