    I'm glad they still killed off Katz in the movies, he was one of the most annoying characters in the TV series and it would have been more annoying if he survived in the movies. It's still ashame they still killed off Emma, she was one of my favorite characters.

    thanks for the recommendations, i think I'll go look for turn A since it's made by Tomino. I think Gundam Wing and gundam seed dvds are availabe in the UK, so maybe one of them too. Is seed meant to be a like a re-imagined version of first gundam like the new battlestar galactica? Some of the mecha look very similar to first gundam.

    Thats me watched every single UC gundam show thats been made, now I'm thinking of watching one of the AU shows, I've never seen any of them before so i don't know where to begin, any recommendations? I don't think the gundam porn would appeal to me though.

    I don't see whats the big deal about the spare helmet, does it really matter where he got it from. They always have something that spring out of nowhere like those vernier back packs that fits on their space suit that enables them to move about in space. Where do those come from?

    I'm just saying if you were to watch the movies from first gundam to cca without the tv series then it should fit together as ZZ would not have happened, but if you were to watch the Zeta TV series to CCA without ZZ then you have a problem. Cause if you skip ZZ after Zeta tv series then you would be wondering what happened to Haman and Axis. Neo Zeon got defeated in ZZ, leaving the Axis astriod for the Federation. In the Zeta movies Axis was abandoned, leaving it for the federation as i mentioned before blah blah blah.

    I think the movies overrides ZZ, but not CCA. In CCA it did not mention anything about what happened to haman's neo zeon, only a wee bit in Char's speech, but not enough to say what she actually done in ZZ. He could be referring to her appearance during Zeta but not necessary ZZ. Also since Haman left the earth system in the movies with her entire fleet abandoning Axis, the Federation would take over Axis, then sell it to Char in CCA. As for Camile, he probably had enough of fighting and not bother showing his face in CCA.

    I don't know much about marketing but i reckon it would be better to just release the shows first on dvd for a limited time and if sales are doing well then increase dvd production, then think about releasing the toys/ models and maybe try and air the shows on TV. If dvd sale are not doing well then at least the main fan community has been served. This is better than trying to blitz the west with toys, dvds, tv simultaneously cause that just doesn't work. It works in japan because gundam has been around for 30 years and the fans have grown with the show.

    Finally seen all three movies with English translation. I'd say the movies overall were not put together all that well compared to first gundam movies, but they are still good to watch. What i hate most from these movies is the music from Gackt i think it doesn't suit the movies and it sounds terrible especially the ending theme for movie three.

    Just pre-ordered the unmanned QF-2200D-A Ghost unit from hlj, im a bit surprised at the price, usually yamato sell their extra packs at a higher price. Which makes me wonder if this ghost comes with all the missiles etc and also if it can really fit on to a VF-0S.

    The macross game for the ps2 rocks! it's got every thing, the robots , music the sound. I reckon the music is the best part of the game, it makes the game more authentic and makes you feel like your part of the show.

    Hi, I got my soc gunbuster 2 weeks ago, it's a bit smaller than i expected , but otherwise its cool and heavy. I've pre-ordered the noriko figure to go with it too. But now i've got the Macross Yf 19 by yamato and i don't know which to put on my display shelf, oh decisions decisions.

    I just wish companies like bandai would just release these old shows instead of trying to advertise toys or trying to get them aired on TV. Never mind about the animation quality other companies have released old shows like votoms and patlabor, and the animation in them were old.

    I'm sure the wonky gun problem can be fixed with some Blu-Tack, though i have not tried it my self since I'm leaving my YF 19 in batroid mode, I'm too scared it would break if i transform it back to fighter. To those talking about the YF 19 having fold capability, I think that was not the YF 19's unique feature was it not because it had it's own pin point barrier.

    I've seen all three movies but its in Japanese so i don't know what they are saying, though i have i pretty good idea since it follows the TV series in some events. It would be a shame if Igloo doesn't come out cause thats a good show. I think the thing with Bandai/Sunrise is that they only release Gundam shows in the West only if they can sell merchandise like figures and models as well. If only they would just release the show like other Anime companies do with their shows without bothering about toys.

    I think most of tomino's work have been great like ideon, they always have some message in them like anti-war stuff and the characters are always shown to be human instead of being simple good and evil. I would have to say ZZ gundam is a big mess, though some episodes were good, but i like to think it didn't happen. I suppose all good franchises have their worst moments like Macross 7 and the new starwars films. By the way does anyone have news on the Zeta Gundam Movies coming out in English and if MS Igloo might come out too.

    Hi Votoms is one of my favorite shows.I think it is a great show and the robots are clunky and realistic. I own two of yamato's scopedogs, the green and purple one. The purple one i got cheep from ebay with the parachute pack. I don't think i'll bother getting any more since they are more or less the same. I do have a marshydog and brutish dog model kits made by WAVE. I don't bother painting the figurines cause im not very good at painting people.

    Hi, Cool a gundam thread, im a big fan of gundam mainly UC though. I haven't seen any of the AU gundams so i don't know wither they are good or bad. But i don't think there will be a show that could beat ZETA Gundam, which in my opinion is the best and also better than Macross story wise that is, Macross has the cool robots.

    Hi, How i hate parcel force, anyway i think customs don't charge every single item that comes into the country because i bought a VF-0S and also a Yamato 1/12 Scopedog that managed to get through without getting charged.

    Hi, If i manage to save enough money i might just buy a second one, but i would wait for a 2nd edition when they sort out the flaws, and hopefully UK customs won't charge me for it. I was in a rush to get this model because i missed out on the 1/72 version.

    Hi, Got my YF 19 yesterday, though it took its sweet time, i would have to say i was starting to regret buying it because i had to pay import duty, VAT, Customs and clearance fee, and the fact that royal mail and parcel force sucks even after paying they wouldn't deliver the next day. Anyway the toy itself is great , i couldn't decide wither to leave it in fighter mode or batroid mode. My version also has all the same QC issues such as the wonky gunpod. During transforming i thought it broke because it split in half but it was easily put back together.

    Hi, Thats good to know i only ask because i don't see any connection points or sockets for the ghost to fit onto the VF 0s that i own. Like the 1/48 vf 1 has sockets for the super pack.

    Hi, Is the ghost that sold separate able to fit on to the vf 0s, i find this confusing if they just sell the ghost without the ability to fit on to the vf 0 fighters.
