I suspect this one will fall flat on its face. Remakes/sequals of twenty year old super robot shows don't appear to have a very good track record. The robot looks pretty good, but the chara designs aren't doing anything for me. I'll give it a chance, but I'm keeping my expectations low (which may mean I'll be pleasantly surprised).

Makes me glad I won't regret buying the Japanese release, since it appears to have stuff that won't be on the US (I'll still be buying the US, so I can watch without having to provide my own subtitles).

Do they flex at all? The pictures make it look rigid, which I think would make it hard to swing. I have a couple of nephews who would probably think this is pretty cool.

I think the guy in the mask in the background is the same person as the guy with red hair standing in front.

While I agree the first movie blew goats, Innocence was pure awesome.

Never cared for the Griffin's design. The GR2 is pretty awesome looking. Weird that they're doing that and not GR, or did I miss that one?

The browser is cool, but it desparately needs a way to make fonts bigger (and I don't mean the zoom function). The auto complete makes 'typing' with the remote a bit easier (though wanting to put ".us" every time I type a period is kind of lame; who actually uses .us?). Oh, and it really needs to mask passwords. Overall though, it's pretty neet. I loved their download progress indicator.

It just hit me that the bit about Kyon not feeling well and still recovering is also from Disappearance.

She can't act for crap though, whoever she is. So Kadokawa is doing the release themselves and distributing through Bandai. It was cool they thanked the fansubbers (the ones who buy the official release anyway). I just hope they get released in broadcast order. I heard they might do chronological order, which would be a deal breaker for me.

Couldn't care less about the movie one way or the other, but man this has to be the stupidest name ever.

I had to put stupid Omaha in for mine. Also, the info it gave was over four hours old. Honestly, not sure if weather will be something I'll use much. I'm really curious about the news thing. I wonder if it'll just be hooked into a wire service or will there be more to it.

The first episode was really good. The designs were excellent and the story was simple but well done. It's nice to see Katsuhiro Otomo doing work again. The cup noodles were amusing, but I didn't find the product placement to be nearly as bad as the Pizza Hut stuff in Code Geas. I look forward to more of this show.

Wii Sports has been worth the price of the system alone. That game rocks and then some.

How about reading the thread before posting?

My recomendation is to start using the ignore feature. The people whining the most are usually contributing the least anyway, so it's not like you're going to miss out on anything by blocking them. Trust me, the quality of these boards improves greatly with a bit of judicious ignoring.

It was decidedly meh. It did absolutely nothing new.

When I buy a LEGO set, I'll build the model that the set is for then I'll part it out (the only exceptions so far have been the Batmobile and the Batplane, which were actually very good builds). LEGO has always had "kits." I guess there are people who don't have the imagination to make their own designs. For me building to the instructions serves as practice and to give me ideas on new ways to fit the bricks together for my own stuff. The Megablock sets I have bought in the past were bad. The QC is non-existant and a lot of the bricks simply did not fit together correctly.

Glad I hadn't bought a 0A yet. I really want that gift set.

Man, I almost had my hopes up there. Megablocks are a steaming pile of feces and you couldn't pay me to get them.

I made pro level in both golf (2 under par on all 9 holes is my best) and bowling (255 high game). I've only got some bronze and silver medals.
