Milia's way too unlady like for my taste... in fact - she's like the opposite extreme to Minmey... Minmey is the bratty clueless chick and Milia is the Terminator on steroids... Misa is the most human and true to form - she has responsibilities but she's also a woman and a normal person - her interaction with her father, her sorrow over Riber, her feelings for Rick (OH MY GOD! WHAT DID I JUST WRITE!) HIKARU! HIKARU! and her embarrasment - all of them make her endearing while the other two are fun, but not endearing. vftf1

I see no reason for weeping and sadness. But maybe that's because I got rid of my fugly "Masterpiece" Robotechs and my 1/72 YF-21 and VF-11 a long time ago - and get my 1/60 Elint largely for sentimental reasons (Elints aren't exactly popular and I like 'em).... Anyways - the old 1/60 line seems to me to really be good on its' own merits - unlike the 1/72s which went from bad (VF11B) to worse (YF21) to outright ugly and terrible (YF19) .... Sure - it was "better" than Bandai - but no where close to good.... The old 1/60 VFs - on the other hand - despite imperfect transformation - really are presentable - and I wouldn't be throwing any away or ebaying them... VFTF1

I just realized a 1/60 perfect Max will look lovely with my 1/60 Quid Rau Myria I MIGHT get the 1/60 Elintseeker as well - I have the old 1/60 imperfect Transformation which I love because of the Elint equipment - but if Yamato manages to make a really cool Elintseeker then I'll probably get it The 1D... and hmm.... what else? Not much else to get is there? Not very interested in things like Hikaru, Kakizake and the like... prefer the variants... maybe an angel bird? if they do one... Also looking forward to reaction armor... VFTF1

Let me just be the first to say that I DOUBT these will cost under 100. WHY would they? The old 1/60s were under a Hundred...but so were the 1/72s - this had everything to do with engineering, inflation and size... now we have more complex engineering, adjust for inflation, and also more perfection in the mould... If a 1/60 VF was going to be under 100 we'd have seen it by now with the Macross Zeros .... My guess is these will be similar in cost - we're looking at 155 to 170 (w/Fast Pack). Nothing is going to ever cost under 100 USD again. VFTF1

Thanks And lastly - is it variable ? As for the 1/60s - I'll be getting me a VF-1D and a Max + Mirya set. No intention of getting rid of my 1/48s. In fact - I will simply say that there are two variants of the VF1 - and the 1/48 is the "heavy hitter" version Now... what's this about Yamato having the rights to MF? Would be good news. VFTF1

Bandai model kits? Are they pre-painted and do they require glue? I would prefer them to be snap-fit like the Gundam Master Grade kits... But in the worse case...I guess I'm an old man now - so I should learn how to paint VFTF1

Please tell me that those Macross 7 VFs and the Zendradi Male Battle armor are ALSO coming out I would LOVE a Bassara Valk ! VFTF1

This is a no-brainer for me. I have Roy, Stealth and Woodland 1/48s. I buy Max, Myria and VF-0D 1/60 Perfects. I keep my 1/60 Elint. End of story VFTF1

I think Roy knew there was nothing that could be done - and he just wanted to die with his guitar and his woman in the kitchen, rather than in a hospital. Or maybe he was indeed shocked and didn't even "notice" the wounds? In any case - good question. VFTF1

Sell your "masterpieces" and go for Yamato. If you don't believe me - I can post a picture by picture comparison of a 1/48 Stealth VF-1J and the "Masterpiece" VF-1S... Masterpiece is a WASTE of money. 1/100 also is a waste of money. 60 bucks for three little crudy 1/100 guys or 100 USD for a very bad representation of a VF-1S are complete wastes of money. Yamatos are NOT expensive - when you actually have on in hand and realize what you're getting - the price is extremely reasonable unlike the cheap knock off that is MP Robotech. Welcome VFTF1

Neither were the Zendradi mechs - at least in the final analysis.... I personally like the fact that Yamato is not producing these in the spirit of X quantity of Evil Evilons vs. X Quantity of Heroic Heropeoples.... the whole point of Macross is to undermine this silly dualism and get us to recognize that things are often more complex, more tragic - and positively speaking - resolvable peacefully precisely because differences can be overcome - one doesn't carry an "Evil" label throughout eternity in order for the series to sustain itself... VFTF1

Ironically - I think it's hard for us collectors to get really excited about Christmas... Kids get excited because Christmas is often one of those rare occasions when they are showered with gifts. But adult collectors ...er...well... it's Christmas basically at least once a month... On the other hand -- For me personally; the fact that there's no great enthusiasm about getting presents on Christmas helps me appreciate the familial and personal aspect more. I can honestly say that I'm looking forward to being with those I care for more than to getting presents - not because I'm such a fantastically virtuous guy - but rather because I get "presents" year round anyways.... so there's really no excitement in the material aspect of Christmas for me. VFTF1

I remain one of the few people who like LV2.... But there are different preferences... for instance, some people find Angel Bird to be lovely - I find it to be really yucky...the paint scheme just doesn't sit well with a VF1.... VFTF1

Upon reading that it comes with Cancer, I thought it was a two pack Macross-Transformers special VFTF1

Two points: 1. A brilliant job. I could never do something that accurate. 2. I hate G1 Jetfire's color scheme and generally don't like seeing the VF used as a TF...err...despite my...ummm....err....name... VF...TF...1....damn ...

HLJ is a fantastic company. It's always tough to move to a new wharehouse/system - add to this the fact that it's Christmas. I've been extremely pleased with the service. Prompt, efficient, lighting fast and alway courteous. Plus prices you can't beat. VFTF1

If Bandai gets te license, I'm not buying it - unless they truly shock me...but none of their Macross products up to now have impressed me when compared to Yamato. VFTF1
