  1. And sorry, she is no Minmay. You need someone with an "innocent" look and Kristin has too much fire in her eyes IMHO.
  2. Thanks, Mokman. Been to your site as well as per baronv's suggestion and was impressed by your collection. Are the colored sketches, the originals drawn by Kawamori Shoji? It was being offered a while ago by a private dealer. By the way, yes, the scene you see is from Flashback 2012. I have an original DVD released in Japan and it's in the beginning of the footage right before Minmay starts singing verse 2 of "Tenshi no E no Gu" which was not included in the DYRL movie. You might not have recognized it since it came with an unmatching background. That's the scene where Hikaru hands her the microphone and Misa show up next to her to throw an holographic costume over her. Unfortunately, I don't have the stuff to do a screen capture.. if someone else can do it, that would be great. Just won a couple of cels from Yahoo Japan which I previously did not own which I will share when I get them shipped to me.
  3. Perhaps a short list of those who signed up for a kit would help... You know, so that we know we're all on the list (assuming the price is reasonably affordable) and have not been dropped by accident. Thanks.
  4. Oh, that is sweet. Just saw the other pics on SM site. Captain, would you be so kind to post the pics here for those who can't log in? It would be a shame for others (even those who are not interested in 1/72 scale) not to see this and appreciate it.
  5. That's hilarious... but a tough crowd at Youtube. It only had 4 stars...
  6. Judging from the footage, looks more like an M1 turret. It could be a hybrid of both since the silhouette of the turret is too tall for M1 but too short for M60 and angles are different from either. I am sure whoever designed these tried their best to make them look original, making it far more difficult to scratchbuild them.
  7. Yes, this is the one. Does anyone have the designs or the schematics to this? Who knows... maybe one day a brave sould will scratch build this in 1/72 or better yet, 1/48 or 1/35 scale. It's got the M60 turret with a Sheridan main gun. The tracks also look very familiar.
  8. Can't wait~ Like I said before, this is a dream month for 1/72 scale model lovers.
  9. Just a small piece of advice: You might wish to PM Captain directly rather than posting your email like that. Most people on MW are good and honest but you never know...
  10. Clearly not the strongest but there is a tank in Macross that briefly appears and gets blown up during the sequence of Earth getting annihilated by the Zentradi force in the TV series.
  11. A bit going off topic but just got my CD single of Shimatani Hitomi's "Shinku" from HMV. Came with a DVD as well, containing the music video of this title song of A.C.E.3. It comes with the release version and the A.C.E.3 version.
  12. Hey, Andy, does this mean that you're going to do a reissue in Gerwalk mode with hands (fists?)?
  13. When done, please show us a finished product (even if not painted) and let us know what the price is going to be. Great job by the way.
  14. Count me in guys... I think we have a fair share of HK residents including Graham and Valk009 (Andy).
  15. I AM IMPRESSED. I caught my son playing with his sister's Barbie doll last week so I went out and bought him a Spiderman action figure (although he's not reached the age printed on the box). I was trying to get him into Macross but the recent ones are just way to complex for him to enjoy (plus, violent, too). I may decide to watch a couple of episodes of SDFM. I recall giving my daughter (who is turning 5) a Toynami valk a year ago, which she managed to strip it down in less than 3 minutes.
  16. Great collection, Lurker X. By the way, did one of the pics include your son? How do you keep him off your toys? FYI, I am struggling with mine and he's only 2.
  17. Valk009 said previously that his next project is an "accurate" scale VF-11 battroid with armor. Let's try not to distract him from that for the time being. I am sure that he also needs a breather after sending the VF-4 kits out. Of course, I am all for the VF-11 after that.
  18. What is the scale on this thing? It looks too detailed for 1/72...
  19. Pretty cool... It would have been nice if the polycaps didn't show when the MSs were sliced in half at the waist.
  20. I hopped over to the Samurai Monkey site and back... At one point, some folks suggested the mechs from Macross II (albeit non-canon). I picked up a resin kit of a 1/72 YF-19 in battroid mode a while back on Yahoo Japan Auction. I was thinking it would be nice if these could be modified to cast a 1/72 Fire Valks or VF-19S from Mac7. I never bought into the design using a "human face" for the battroid's head so as an option, we could get regular heads as well? I wonder if anyone is interested in taking on this project.
  21. or take out a loan if necessary...!! Captain, keep them coming... don't slow down! Seriously, a suggestion would be to take a poll every now and then for the upcoming "Moscato Releases". I know that the further away one gets from the main mechas, there will be less interest or demand. But given the number of "die hard" 1/72 modelers on this board, you should always be able to get enough demand to justify at least one run. By the way, I watched Macross Zero all over again these past couple of days. I still don't appreciate the story but love the action sequence and the CG used (although, I do sense my stomach tingling with too much CG and less "anime"). I noticed the predecessors of the "Defenders" that appear in Zero. Anyone thought of making these to go with the VF-0 or Sr-51 valks or battroids?
  22. I would recommend a gundam marker with the "bocasi" pen (which helps you erase the excess).
  23. It has to be for a "Korean" MBT. Korea is filled with rivers and lakes. I stopped reading the commentaries a long time ago...
