Either the guy who poses the thing doesn't know how to pose it or it can't be posed any further which is a complete fail. Only way to make that ugly ducking look properly good and proportioned by kitbashing is by using kyekye + Mwcheng modding levels.

Noticed something else in the last pic with the full set of parts The valk is TV white whit TV shade gray intake covers and thrusters but the option part urr....neck thing cover with and without the seat and one of the display adapters is DYRL shade dark gray and AMM-1 missiles are DYRL style also. Looks like Arcadia is kit bashing the pics with leftovers.

I just realized the reason for the tricolor. It's Roy, Hikaru and Max's iconic colors. As usual no love for Kakizaki. They should've made it in a VF-1S instead of a J.

Super strike parts assembly kit?

I hope Arcadia continues releasing the assembly kits and it would be very nice if they'd release standalone option parts with waterslide decals for TV and DYRL valks.

yeap! that's the helmet Masei used to developed their Macross helmet. Did you guys see the ebay feedback? a lot of negatives, mostly old feedback from mid to late 2012 about some very dodgy dealings.

Awesome kyekye, why do you ask input from modeller if you yourself are a monster of a modeller? Anyway, my small input. I have to agree with what Renato posted and your pictures. The different Macross franchise logos appear to be stickers because they look very very crisp, compared with the tampo around that you can noticed (and in all your Yamato valks), the tampo always leave a little "bleeding" on the edges and is not 100% crisp like a waterslide decal. But in your picture they appear like regular decal stikers because they are not set trough the panel lines. Sometimes two layers for white is used if the background is very dark for waterslide decals. But they waterslide decals I've used on that comes with the yamato kits the white is pretty good and does not require the two layer like on Hasegawa's kits. Umm...I think the company that made the decals is an italian one that's famous for the best waterslide decals around. I do hope the big 30th logo on the back is tampo. Gonna be a pain to put on. But I am thankful the franchise logos will appear to be decals, will have a total blast burning to hell the Macross 7 logos.

hehehe, let's calm down, slow news from Arcadia is gonna make us tear apart. Let's just agree that Arcadia has been very vague on details making it hard to jump to conclusions, let's just wait it out until Arcadia gives more details. Never owned a chunky, was too young. But whenever I see the pics I'm outstanding on how a 30 year old toy looks so good in all 3 modes.

Considering this is a transforming toy, the most logical conclusion is that the pics we are getting are the "naked" pics, can you imagine putting the logo in the fuselage with decal or waterslide decals, it will be a pain in the ass since the decals would be cut in about 5 or more pieces and could end horribly uneven. It's sold as a fully assembled toy. Yamato's were always released with decal sheet for the extra marking "kites, pilot name, no step, warning, etc), and not until the Weathered editions and Assembly kits did they released waterslide decals that were a welcomed treat. Maybe Arcadia decided to add both option for the extra "warning markings" to the 30th since it's an anniversary valk that will not be reissued or will perhaps continue this trend for all future releases. Or someone who can speak/write japanese ask Arcadia in their twitter.

Nah, HG recent Robotech failure would only make them more greedy to profit on Macross recent success to try and get a big cut out a possible deal. Anyway, before the mods come in, there's already a thread for the whole HG vs Big West debate. I'm not digging the white option parts, is like they saw we all wanted them and they just took leftovers and put them in the pictures so everyone would shut up. I wonder if they are TV or DYRL white?, I would use them on my other VF-1's since I'll probably keep the 30th in fighter mode in it's stand.
