but the VF-27 isn't a fighter plane it's a cyborg operated spacecraft that turns into a giant robot with a ridiculously large, phallic beam weapon. and it's purple.

AHHHH!!!!!!! -
things that suck, and I therefor hate: all 1/55 chunkies, especially the VF-1S all Yamato 1/60 scale VF-1's (v.1 and v.2) all of the 1/48 VF-1's Bandai's 1/65th scale Macross 7 toys. anything from Macross 7 Destroids any valkyrie that isn't a VF-1 (especially the VF-0, VF-11, YF/VF-19, YF-21/VF-22, VF-25, VF-27, VB-6 and SV-51) Yamato's SDF-1 (way too big and expensive, also DYRL? sdf-1 is ugly) Waves SDF-1 (too small and expensive, also ugly and not articulated enough) every other SDF-1 (old and not articulated enough, also TV SDF-1 is ugly) Macross quarter (ugly, expensive, can't support it's own weapons) Non-transforming macross toys (this completely defeated the purpose of transforming robots.) anything in 1/100 scale (same scall as gundam, and therefor sucks) anything in a smaller scale than 1/60th (too small) anything in a larger scale than 1/60th (too large) anything in 1/60 (what kind of stupid odd scale is this?) anything thats "non-scale" (either SD which sucks, or is ugly) anything that's a model kit products made by Yamato (overpriced and fragile) Products made by Bandai (overpriced and chunky) all revoltechs (cheap plastic, ugly sculpts) Products made/distributed by toynami (do I really need to explain this one) any toy that has weathering (why the hell would I want a dirty toy?) "exclusives" (how dare companies not make products I had no interest in readily available to me.)

because Bandai/Sunrise is still bitter and angry after all these years about Macross blatantly ripping off gundam, and have gone through all this trouble in order to ruin Mcross out of spite. Alternatively Bandai is just a collective of trolls who revel in the suffering of fan-boys.

that is perhaps the dumbest idea I've ever heard, ever. -
can we just have a "this is pointless" voting option?

considering SK did design work for Gundam 0083 in the early 90's, I think it's fair to say that he was still in to gundam more recently than 3 decades ago.
-
or you could just ask him nicely to send it to you via PM (of course if it were me at this point I'd say no. )

I don't really spend my time trolling the internet looking for my pictures I took to show up uncredited or otherwise on somebody's website/ebay auction, but I'd like to think that somebody is using my stuff somewhere. Actually I'm kind of pissed that I've never seen a photo I've taken showing up somewhere without my permission. I'd like to think that I do generally good work, so why does nobody want to use it?

so, vacuum-plated gold inner frame? I really do love metalic coatings, but not enough to spend $250~300 on a strike freedom (even if it is a katoki). I'd actually much rather have a Gold frame. also just looking at the gimmicks featured here: http://bandai-hobbyproshop.net/gunpla30th/strikefreedom.html I've got a bad feeling that the mechanics in the wings and legs are going to work about as well as the locks and ratchets on the PG 00. so yeah, easy pass on this one. I think I'll be sticking to MG's and RG's until we see a PG unicorn or gold frame.

because you've got so much more artistic vision and talent than he does

because everything from the '80s is too blocky and simplistic, and will look crappy on the big screen.

oh FFS, can we please not go down this road again. Look at this picture, how many parts do you see? that's why it costs so much. It doesn't matter if it "looks simpler than a transforming Valkyrie," or "is just an egg on two legs," it's got a lot of parts which all require tooling to make and it's going to cost a lot of money because of it.

Yeah, sure. That was TOTALLY what you were trying to do. -
wow, ODST wasn't THAT bad. I'm not really interested in Reach either but more because I'd rather clear out my backlog of games I need to finish before Black Ops comes out. 3 was really the only Halo game I actually found honestly fun (admittedly I first played Halo op PC in 2006 and didn't even pick up a copy of halo 2 until after I had finished 3.) ODST was fun, it was just way to short and lacking content to justify paying $60 for it. (I only picked it up because I got a $20 gift card and a free toy.) Still I'd take that over HAWX 2. (Actually that's not saying much, I'd rather jam a fork in my eye than play HAWX 2)

I like the new Mustang better, the front end looks a lot nicer now with the thinner grill/headlights. The new Camaro is distinctively ugly while the Challenger has managed to find the uncanny valley of retro car design; it's JUST enough like the original to Be the the least attractive of the three. -
No, there will be no actress by the name of Rebbecca Romajin in this movie. I highly doubt that Rebecca Romijn will be in the movie either.

check my post one page back, you can get a Animeigo set for about $120. Now if you want new sealed copy that's going to be difficult and expensive to find, but if you're willing to get a used copy they're still readily available and not Hugely expensive. That said, I actually kind of like the ADV boxed set. The dub sucks but you can just watch it with subs, and the actual video and audio quality is fine. what I like about the ADV release though is the box art. the series box and all of the DVD cases use really nice original illustrations from Artmic and Studio Nue.

Whats Lying on your Workbench MKIII

I've never tried it but I'd be inclined to say huge headache. I just can't imagine getting the decal applied such that it won't fall off/fall apart while your painting, but still come off cleanly afterward without messing up the paint somehow. -
-
yeah, not a fan of Krylon either. For a paint that's supposed to be a lacquer (and will screw up underlying paint like a lacquer) it's durability is pitiful. I prefer Rust-Oleum, their enamels are more durable than krylon's junk. That said I cannot overstate the importance of proper prep work; any paint that says "no prep required" is lying to you. The best way to get paint to stick I find is to wet sand all the surfaces to be painted with 400-800 grit sandpaper, then washing the parts with warm water and Dawn dish soap.

really? what was your first hint?

I can't help it, I just have to make snide comments whenever possible. it's in my nature.
