  1. If you want a black one, PM me and we can do a deal (no exchange rate to worry about)
  2. Brake fliud works for me and it's good for the enviroment when you wash it down the drain
  3. It's even more now (someone forgot to deploy the parachute on the dollar). But just think, you WILL get that special Yamato shafted feeling and what toy collector could pass that up (at this price they may have finally put some Vaseline in with the figure)
  4. True collectors don't care Who needs heating, housing, clothing & food. You're all a bunch of wusses (if you need oil you can always throw some plastic on the fire and I'm sure the boxes taste good with a bit of seasoning) The toy/figure/model cabinet comes first! Grow a pair, buy more toys It also helps when you're single, own everything you have and have heaps of income
  5. Putting a shiny coat on them doesn't make them any better. They are still crap and another Yamato rip off
  6. So true. Which makes it even better. Sick of hearing that no one else can design mecha.
  7. I've been having much the same. Sometimes I even get database error messages.
  8. How about a link to the page and not the pic.
  9. I have multiples of various kits as my intention is to recreate scenes from the TV show. For example I have 3 Valks & a Cat's Eye for ep 10 "Blind Game". The Valks are for Hikaru, Max & Hayao. I have more Valks to do Roy, Max fighting Millia's Q-Rau & to use with the Moscato boosters ffor ep 30 Viva Maria. I don't have many Supers or Strikes as they really didn't feature in the TV show and that's all I'm interested in as far as modeling is concerned. I have at least on of each other type or enough to do one of each of the main players. I only get singles of the kits from series that don't interest me (such as M Plus, M7 & M Zero and to a lesser extent MF) but they are still needed to complete the set Same thing goes for Patlabor. The same kit has parts to build all the different variants, so that's why I have multiples of them and some are originals. The Nadesico kits are doubled up because some are original issue and some are re-releases. Thank goodness most of the Gundam mecha are custom one off's
  10. Very nice. Seeing your Bandai Valks reminded me that I have some missing kits to look for. Completely forgot about those as they were some of the first I brought many years ago, damn what have I done with them
  11. All my cabinets are full of toys at the moment (damn things cost so much thought I might as well show them off for a while). I have just had a rush of blood and have finished 3 Moscato destroids, a couple of Armorcast mechs and a few Gundam kits so once they are painted (weather not too painting friendly down here at the moment) I'll certainly get some pics up. The destroids might upset a few purists though as they will be painted in battletech colours.
  12. Enough talk of big collections, full closets & cupboards. Talks cheap let's see them . Show me the money (or kits in this case) I intend to one day make most of them. It's a matter of space to dispaly them really and with around 100 or so in storage waiting for some display space to become available I'll have to do a major shuffle of the cabinets. It doesn't help that I've become a bit lazy over the past few years and have brought more toys than I should have that are taking up the space. I also collect the kits for other reasons. The way they are thought out, the box art, the instructions just to name a few. Grab 'em while you can is my motto. Why miss out or pay twice as much years down the track Yep plastic tubs are the go. That's why I was sorting through them, pack 'em, rack 'em & stack 'em.
  13. Soon to be 6 as I need another Cinderella Heart & 2 Vivid Heart kits to make all the colour variants
  14. Was cleaning out the storage shed today and got a bit of a shock when I took stock of the kits I had sitting around protecting the floor from dust. Macross related kits first: Just a few Valks Some Battroids etc Some Zero & Plus kits A bit of resin (found a few more after that aren't in the photo like the 1/48 Club M Super/Strike, Cat's Eye (copy), complete Moscato Booster & tractor set & all of the Moscato mecha) Some Mospeada Southern Cross (just about all the Macross resin, Mospeada & Southern Cross kits have come from the good members of this site ) A bit of Patlabor A bit of Nadesico (also found a Musasiya Nadesico resin kit later) A lot of Gundam And finally a few kits from various shows such as GITS, VOTOMS, Sakura Wars & the game Virtual On. As well as about 15 Star Trek & Star Wars kits that I didn't photo because they are packed away right down the back and too hard to get to So enough of my portion of the national debt, lets see yours
  15. Yamato should include a jar of Vasoline with each figure. At least that way it will make the shafting a bit easier to take These 4 figures (and the Sky Girls Ra-jins) have cured me of the need to buy any toy of a transforming nature for a long long time . Static figures and scale models for me from now on.
  16. Yeah sure What about those stupid fins that plug into the back Nene's suit? They don't even stay in with the figure just standing on table. Glad you're happy with yours though. I guess I was expecting too much.
  17. I've just got Nene & Linna which now gives me all 4 and I must say I'm a bit underwhelmed (boo hoo) . Damn I'm sick of getting done by Yamato but as there isn't much of choice when it comes to BCG items they will have to do. Way to fragile, fiddly, fall apart at the slightest touch, keep drooping on the stand, bah, enough it's depressing. Hopefully I can get the bonus figures, that might put a better light on things. PM sent Save
  18. He would have known it was a recast. The kit is very different to the original. It has different decals (if you could call them that), no white metal parts, different instructions (poor photcopy in a plastic bound book) and it has a small logo on the front of the box of the mob who made the copy. I was caught out like that and PayPal would not do anything unless I got a statutary declaration from an "expert" in the field (and of course the phone book is full of Australian macross resin kit experts ) that the kit was a copy. In the end the kit isn't all that bad, the only area that is a really FUBAR is the flaps.
  19. The little logo next to the Club M sticker on the front is the give away. From memory it's a radioactive symbol or something similar (don't have mine handy at the moment). The other give away is the copies don't have white metal parts such as under-carraige & flap pieces, theirs are all resin. Apart from that the kit is pretty good so don't worry too much as you got it at a good price.
  20. Yes that's right but over the years I've managed to get them to understand that EMS is not the be and end all they like you to think it is and I usually don't get stiffed for it unless the size of the item is really big and then strange as it may seem EMS can be cheaper or the same as SAL. It also pays to check the combined postage totals on multiple orders. A few months ago they tried to charge me 150Y more to send 2 items in the same box than what it would have cost to send them individually. As I said B4 since they've moved to their new site they have lost the plot a bit. New staff, not enough staff, who knows?
  21. Are you really questioning processing time as opposed to shipping time. HLJ have got absolutely no control over the package once the truck drives away from their premises. SAL shipping is hit and miss. I've always used SAL and have never had anything go missing (90+ orders in 2 years) but a few have taken longer than they really should have to arrive. If you are talking about processing time then yes they absolutely suck at the moment. Since they moved into their new premises their order processing has become somewhat of a joke. The ordering system they use has never been that good and compared to their browsing system it's pathetic. I've been assured by Scott that they are working on it but I've had numerous emails from him over the past year all saying the same thing and nothing has really changed but I suppose you can always live in hope.
  22. You need to get the VF-1 weapon set.
