So mean of him to use the poseable figure from the Legiosses, instead of that fixed pose one from the Tread.

But would tariffs screw up the pricing? 𤨠Still waiting on the Item Shipped notification from Amazon Japan for the Tread.

Marvel Studios Fantastic Four: First Steps
Mog replied to sh9000's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Just got back from the film. Surprisingly better than I expected. Like that they played on how flawed Reed is, having all that guilt, being too logical and scientific at times, and always thinking about worst case scenarios. Characters are kinda consistent with how you'd expect them to be, without being overly annoying. There's ribbing here and there, but there's still love underlying their interactions. Galactus and the Surfer were solid. Though, I do wish I had subtitles a few times, as I couldn't make out what Galactus was saying here and there. Old age and too used to subtitles at home. Very disappointing reveals for TVC. The gunship is definitely an improvement, but not enough to justify the US$450 price.

Why not both? Playable stuff that doesnāt have a massive brick on the alt underside.

Iāll be spending that weekend testing weapons fit, painting the stinkinā fixed pose pilot to be Rey (among other things), and snapping comparison pics with the olā Toynami combo. And probably bringing back the olā moogle avatar.

^^Thereās a good handful of folks that have commented about it. . . . And the circuit board look of the internals.

As annoying as it was, kinda glad Amazon Japan asked for payment upfront for the Tread. Didnāt have to worry about any changes in shipping prices or in the price itself in the interim.

I think, if Pose+ had used these as references for their internals on the Legioss, there wouldnāt have been as much grumbling. Weād still complain about how itād impact/compromise the whole structure of the vehicle. But the vitriol would have been slightly less.

OR someone will see that you donāt need to lean into tropes and can see that thereās stories that can be told in this universe without centering on Jedi-Sith. Create well, thought-out characters with consistent traits. I think breaking up the season into 3 episode arcs was a brilliant concept and allowed them to not drag the story out.

Just got the email too. Looks like Iām waking up the moogle avatar in about two weeks. . . . And the supplies have already been acquired and ready to mobilize after I spend about an hour futzing with the big boy.

Is this massive thread necromancy? Yeah. . . but itās the most appropriate thread for these. (The figures are almost all from the old 25th line). So for the longest time, my display had 8 of the Original 13 Joes that first came out when the ARAH line started in the 80ās: (Yeah, I know General Hawk had a different look for his first figure, but Iām including my custom bomber jacket version with the Original 13 crew.) But maybe itās the wifey doing her own preorder madness and going to the mall when it first opens to ācollectibleā hunt. But I got the urge to buy and customize the last five of the Original 13: Iām sure thereās numerous reasons/excuses why I never got these final five before. But figured itād be a fun little project to complete the Original 13. Massive props to HissHissFangFang over at the Hisstank forums. I definitely crib a few ideas from his massive detailed custom works on the Original 13. Four out of these five have some sort of customization . . . with Breaker just getting an additional uzi and some minor darkening of his facial stubble. More pics:

Why Stellan Skarsgard wasnāt nominated is stupid.

My memory might be hazy, but I remember someone painting a Toynami Alpha in Macross cannon-fodder brown color. Donāt think I every saw one in the Skull-1 color scheme though. EDIT: Okay, it was a model, but the point still stands:

It is kinda silly that the wings have a circuit board look to the internals. Thatās fine if itās a miniature drone, but NOT for a full-sized plane. But regarding Sentinel, itās a minor miracle they pulled off a smart redesign that addressed a ton of issues, allowed for some cool features (like an opening cockpit hidden under the head and in between the chest intakes), locks solidly into place for all modes, and can hold a damn pose better than most of the more modern releases.
