What do you mean “Straighten your legs”? Let’s see your stance after riding a Blurrg for 3 days straight?! . . . I have spoken!

Still not feeling some of the design choices made. But would be curious to see how posed out the lions and Voltron can get. Other than the leg covers and adding the pilots, the poseability (I’m guessing) is what will determine if this is worth the US$700 charge.

Fennec Shand just gave you a scowl. 😜 I would have enjoyed this as a Mando ep, much more so than an “average” ep. Flashbacks to Mandalore’s Night of a 1000 Tears. A bunch of interesting cameos. Hot rodding and tons of callbacks to lore, including Mando lore (pun intended). But yeah, the way he handled that bounty and his associates/employees made me go, “That’s how Boba should be acting!”

Is it bad that I enjoyed this ep so much more, and we had no Boba? As cool as the hot rodding was, I still want “him” to get another

Well, that goes without saying! But what if you prefer his look from Mandalorian over his BOBF look? In any case, I would rather get Stormies with exploding armor (when it makes contact with a gaffi stick) than a couple of bucket heads. I’m mean, c’mon Hasbro, give me an “excuse” to justify the higher price.
-
Target “exclusive.” For that price, they better include the gaffi stick, the Tusken rifle, and a couple of Stormies with exploding armor bits. Or if they wanna be accurate to the actual episode , replace the Stormies with Migs Mayfield in disguise.

Yeah, the article pretty much hits the nail on the head. The other issue, that I’ve mentioned before, is that the show is stuck in one place. Yeah, you have different locations in Tatooine, but the show’s stuck on this one planet.

Been YEARS since Jabba’s sail barge blew up. . . . . . And Jawas haven’t picked that wreckage clean of all its scrap?!! What a horrible inaccuracy! 😜

Not safe flying or good luck. . . But Good Hunting, or Tenye Wa Chesh Gut!

I held off on getting the blue Eta (since I already have two copies of the Toynami. . . . I know ). But the Zeta’s all-red scheme, slightly different gun, and all the positive reviews made me take the plunge. The pink is definitely that bad in-hand (Toynami on the left, Sentinel on the right): . . . which is why I had to paint the figure (and bike too):

So, I watched The Expanses series finale again. Still holds up after a second viewing. The battles are still solid and gripping. The character moments still work. And they appropriately send off each character and leave you with hope. I know there’s still an arc to do, but we have the books for that. Plus, when someone wants to do the inevitable TV “reboot” in 10 to 20 years, the actors will be the “correct” age to do that arc. Although the show could be slow paced at times, it’s still up there with the best sci-fi shows of all time. The world building and tech concepts were fresh and different. Definitely a must view.

Never had an issue with any of the pics you post here on the board, Kuma. I just get a Pavlovian rage response whenever I see the hot pink pilot. I really don't know what Sentinel was thinking picking that color for Houquet.

Nothing against your pic, Kuma. But my hatred for that hot pink pilot still burns with the heat of a thousand suns.

So. . . umm, Vader? Could’ve swore that scene in ROTJ elicited the biggest cheers last time I watched it in theaters. And Han shooting first? Seems like something a “good guy” would do. </sarcasm>

I think part of it is that the show is stuck on Tattooine. Mando had the advantage of having him move around to wildly different locations. The other issue is what I mentioned earlier: half-baked ideas that weren’t completely mulled over and thoroughly spot-checked. There’s nothing wrong with the idea of the Vespa gang, but acknowledge that they blow what little money they have on clothes and parts for themselves and their bikes. Like I said: have the characters call crap out and incongruities out.

Isn’t there a bit of a time-jump for the Laconia book arc? Based on interviews I’ve read and heard, they figured it was best to end the TV series at the Free Navy arc. There’s been some good moments here and there this season. Drummer’s still freakin’ awesome. No one can cuss like Avasarala. And the space fights have been ramped up some. So, I’m excited to see how they end this. One thing they added for this season is some extra scenes that you can only watch on your mobile device or desktop/laptop (the X-Ray stuff). Unfortunately, you can’t access these scenes from your smart TV though. One other thing that’s been kinda fun to watch has been the aftershows with Ty Franck and Wes Chatham (Amos). Fun interviews with the cast and crew, and it’s a trip to see the cast out of character.

When I watched it, I didn’t mind the ep that much. But based on everyone’s observations here, the powers that be should have given more thought to a lot of their ideas and plot moves. Someone should have been the critical eye and asking the whys and the “Does this make sense?” questions. Like either make that Vespa crew look drabbier, or have Boba or Fennec verbally call it out (“You can’t find work, and yet you can afford cybernetics and nice bikes?”). I’m sure they can come up with a viable excuse/justification to say in response. Toss in a few more throwaway lines like that. Have Boba ask how the hell the Wookiee got all the way to his bacta tank. Have Fennec comment that for all those years hanging around Jabba, Boba didn’t learn how to run the business? Or have Boba say he wasn’t around when Jabba consolidated his power; he only saw when it was already up and running. I’d rather have those lines tossed in there, rather than an extra few seconds of sweeping vista scenes or the fast-forwardable chase scene. Back to the actual story, it looks like the Pykes are the main bad guys for both stories.

Marvel Studios TV Shows and Animation on Disney+
Mog replied to sh9000's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
The only issue is that Bobbi Morse (aka Mockingbird) was already introduced in Agents of SHIELD. And Mrs. Barton’s name is Laura. Given how the MCU has treated SHIELD in the past, who knows what they’ll do? BUT, Adrianne Palicki was pretty kick ass as Bobbi Morse. Regarding the watch, I thought there was some tracking coordinates to the Barton home. Honestly, I’m too lazy to double-check or rewatch those scenes again.- 1509 replies
