Damn, I loved his music. He will sorely be missed.

I liked Singer's vision of the X-men, but itwill be interesting to see a different take on them. I think the 2 films focused way too much on wolverine. Some of the characters suffered from lack of material/ exposure in the 2 films, but it would have been a tall order to balance the amount of characters that were in both films. If Singer doesn't do X3, will fox be able to convince any of the actors to reprise their roles in the franchise? In the dvd's most of the actors stated that they were willing to do sequels as long as Singer was at the helm. Would Stewart, Jackman, McKellan etc come back for a different director? It seems that Halle Berry wasn't going to do X3. Internet rumors had it that she was disappointed with her characters lack of development/screen time. I wouldn't blame her if she bowed out. I blame Singer and the writers for not giving her much to work with.

Saw the Bourne Supremacy, loved it!
Golden Arms replied to DARTHTODD's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Saw it, Loved it as well. I agree that these 2 films have been way better than the Bond Frachise as of late. Less is sometimes more. I agree that the hand held camera work was a little too distracting at times. But it does create a reaction in the viewer, whether you like it's affect or hate it. I really liked it in the 1st chase scene. -

Caught a burglar red-handed in my house!

Glad to hear that you and your family came out unscathed. You are very fortunate. I agree with alot of JsARCLIGHT's comments. No material possesion you own or will ever own is worth risking your life or the life of others for. You only have one life, it can't replaced. That punk kid wouldn't be worth potential legal fees if you roughed him up as others seemed to suggest. I really don't care for handguns but, to each his own. I think there mere presence exponentially adds deadly uncontrollable variables into any intrusion scenario. Cid makes some great points as well. Most firearms owners that I've known don't properly store or seal way their weapons as much as they like to think. I live in Tx and in any given week you hear story's of kids getting into their parents stash and accidently shooting themselves or their friends. Just food for thought since your now starting a family. -
The Trailer for Batman Begins is OUT!
Golden Arms replied to Anubis's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Bale is gonna be a great batman. I wonder will we see a young Bruce frightened by a seemingly mystical giant bat ala Miller's Dark Knight returns. Nice trailer BTW. -
I think J is right. Cartoon network had been showing XE, but they stopped some time ago. The old X-men cartoon (mid 90's) can be seen on Fox family on saturday mornings. They just started reairing it two weeks ago.

Huge Transformers News at Comic Con 2004.
Golden Arms replied to UN Spacy's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
I gotta bad feeling about this as well. They should get a top flight anime company and make a animated movie. Or they could go total CG like shrek, Final Fantasy or Ice age. -
Ebert and Roeper gave it 2 thumbs up, but they're very soft on summer films. Plus I think they're enamored with the cast (lots of hot up and comers). Atoine Fuqua directed KA. He's respnsible for Training Day.

Jack Black is......The Green Lantern
Golden Arms replied to bsu legato's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
I like JB but this makes absolutely no sense. You'd think that WB would learn from the success of the marvel films and emulate their approach. Sad to say I bet this movie will either break even or make some profit. -
Wow, Thai Moves Have Come A Long Way, Ong Bak....
Golden Arms replied to Kamui 777's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Ong Bak is a awesome movie. I rented it 2 months ago and was highlyentertained. You guys are right, the lead puts alot into his attacks. Very hard hitting. He's nowhere near as agile As Jackie Chan, Chiang Cheng, or Hsiao Hou. But very impressive non the less. -

Is Irreversible the film where she is brutally murdered, and her boyfriend seeks revenge? If so I wanted to see that film. I usually like to listen to the audio commentaries. They can usually be pretty insightful. I usually gain a greater respect for the film making process after watching them.

Yeah I still have my X-men series 1 cards as well. That was a great set. There were a few cards that I didn't have. The hologram cards were awesome. -

Speaking of the blonde Chick, does anyone know what her name is given in the end credits? I'd be interested to see if she was possibly named felicia or gwen. -
Straight from webster's: Main Entry: ex·hi·bi·tion·ism Pronunciation: -'bi-sh&-"ni-z&m Function: noun 1 a : a perversion marked by a tendency to indecent exposure b : an act of such exposure 2 : the act or practice of behaving so as to attract attention to oneself - ex·hi·bi·tion·ist /-'bish-nist, -'bi-sh&-/ noun or adjective - ex·hi·bi·tion·is·tic /-"bi-sh&-'nis-tik/ adjective - ex·hi·bi·tion·is·ti·cal·ly /-ti-k(&-)lE/ adverb If his exposure isn't indecent then I don't do what is. His stated reasons are inconsequential. They still don't change the facts. He's doing it to draw attention to himself.

Whats ridiculous is the amount of people that are defending this guy. He's nothing more than a cheap attention seeking exhibitionist. Some people are willing to degrade themselves just for a little attention. Half the people in those pictures are laughing at him. The sad part is that he keeps getting his way when he pulls one of these sad stunts. I'd bet if people ignored him, he'd stop dressing up as such. Are there double standards in life? Sure there are. But that doesn't give him any right to subject others to his cheap reality TV/ Jackass esque stunts. There are more wothy people/causes to champion against percieved double standards than this loser. Rant mode off. BTW thanks for all the updates A7.

Spider-Man 2 review! (spoiler free)
Golden Arms replied to Zeta Otaku's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Anyone who saw Spidey one and had any familiarity with the comics could correctly guess the probable villian for spidey 3. Its all there in the 1st movie. Kraven and Venom aren't that far fetched as supporting villlians in part 3. Again venom or carnage is a alien. There's a character in spidey 2 that has a possible motive (revenge) and opportunity (space) to become venom. Mind you it wouldn't be Eddie Brock, but its there if the creators want to run with it. Besides, Venom doesn't have to be alien. They could explain his abilities some other way, it wouldn't be the fisrt time. They changed the Hulk's origin somewhat in the movie, and wasn't Lady deathstrike supposed to be a cyborg and not a mutant (rhetorical?). The next thread that is completely spoiler free will be the first spoiler free thread in the creation of mankind. -
I love excalibur, Its one of my favorite movies of all time. Yes the movie was rated R. There are alot of decapitations, and lots of nudity. Many a limb were lost in this film. I don't understand why anyone would try to retell this story. No one could hope to outdo the Job Boorman and his cast did. Boorman's film captured all the finer points of Le Morte De Arthur. Lets chant the Charm of Making.

Stan Lee wasn't in X2 or the blade movies. He didn't create Blade. It's great he's getting some love. Alot of the original creators were dicked in regards to royalties and creator control. -
Spider-Man 2 review! (spoiler free)
Golden Arms replied to Zeta Otaku's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
If they go with venom, I could see a certain Astronaught playing a part as a possible explanation for venom or carnage. He brings some mysterious lifeform back to earth. Might be alittle too far fetched for the movie universe that Raimi created. I'd rather Miss Biel play Tessa ( dressed of course in a black lingerie outfit or teddy ala Hellfire club attire) err sage in X3 as Sebastian Shaw's sultry assistant. -

Doc Connors had one arm in the comic. He was working on cell regeneration. Many herps have the ability to regenerate lost limbs. -

I just got back from Spidey2, and it was better than the 1st film. Awesome film. I doubt there will be a better blockbuster this summer. I can't wait to see it again. BTW the movie leaves alot of ripe material for a 3rd film. -
You guys can take me off of the list. I was able to get the bp-8/9 parts that I needed from HLJ. They might be able to lessen some of the demand for spare parts. Hats off to those that are trying to help others out by offering replacement parts.
